On the final night before the full moon, Yako sat atop the Shodaime's stone head on Hokage Rock.
He gazed down at Konohagakure.
Down on the village streets, people bustled through the night.
Some hurried anxiously, while others strolled at a leisurely pace.
Every month since Yako had crossed over to this world had been packed with missions.
After returning to the village this month, he had spent time with Kyoi, played with his child, organized Anbu tasks, and helped Uzumaki Kushina with her special training. The pace of his life had suddenly slowed.
On this night, he stopped thinking about Anbu missions, stopped thinking about the Otsutsuki, stopped thinking about Uchiha Madara, stopped thinking about Danzo, and stopped thinking about his Cult of Jashin.
He simply sat there on Hokage Rock, emptying his mind.
