Chapter 320: Obedience Test
Hearing Fox's cooperative tone, Lynx felt a surge of satisfaction.
Seeing no objections from the other squad leaders, Lynx said, "Wildcat, come with me. We're heading to the Land of Grass."
Yako and the other two squad leaders left Lynx's office.
Black Ant occupied a rather special position; he fundamentally only took orders from the Hokage, yet he had still been called back to listen to Deputy Head Lynx's lecture.
Kinchou carried the heaviest workload, and a change in leadership wouldn't make his job any easier.
Kinchou caught up to Black Ant and whispered, "Lynx is putting on quite the airs."
Black Ant replied, "Lynx is the man Lord Danzo pushed to the front. He represents Lord Danzo. It's only natural for him to put on airs."
"Black Ant, I wonder if Fox can adjust to his new place in the hierarchy. He's no longer the number one man under Head Yellow Dog."
Black Ant nodded. "Let's hope he doesn't cause any trouble out of some pointless jealousy. If he resorts to outward compliance and inward disobedience, or deliberately drags his feet, it'll just show that he's petty and ignorant of the bigger picture."
