Chapter 146: Among Gods. Home
Harry sat cross-legged on the floor of the throne room. His eyes were closed. To everyone watching from the edges of the hall, he looked like a statue just sitting there.
He wasn't.
Beneath that stillness, his power was a churning. He was continuing what he had been doing at camp before Prometheus had shown up, drawing his worlds closer, and he could feel that they were now closer to this world and easier for him to run back to his world with no problem.
'Home is close.'A faint smile tugged at his lips. Even better was that "thing", the oily, watching presence of the Outergod that had been lingering at the edge of the void was gone.
Whether it had grown bored of waiting for him to emerge or had been forced to retreat because the space around this world had folded so tightly with the other worlds coming closer, he didn't know, and He didn't particularly care, either. The thing was gone, the path was clear, and he was just happy to be able to move again.
Behind him, he could feel the weight of a dozen eyes. Gods and demigods, all staring at him. He ignored them with a practiced indifference.
The aftermath killing Kronos had been... loud. The Olympians had returned in a flurry of divine light after finally dealing with Typhon, honestly harry felt that they did that on purpose because they didn't want to fight Kronos. I mean, I mean, what were the chances that just after Kronos fell suddenly they now had the strength to beat Typhon.
Even the Moirai had made an appearance, their aged faces pinched in anger as they took Luke Castellan's body away before they had returned shortly after, standing in a silent semi-circle and giving Harry glares that could have withered a forest.
He hadn't expected that level of focus from them. Well... okay, maybe he had an inkling that messing with the "Great Prophecy" would attract the attention of the weavers of fate, but he truly didn't care.
This detour trip hadn't been all bad in his opinion. He had killed two gods, Hyperion and Kronos, and walked away with two fresh Authorities. He hadn't actually expected to get anything from the Titan King, but Pandora had apparently decided that the victory was worthy of a reward. He was thankful for his "Mother's" generosity.
"Hem hem hem."
A quiet, awkward cough broke his meditation.
"Harry… Harry," a voice whispered.
He opened one eye, looking toward the boy with the sea-green eyes. Percy Jackson stood there, gesturing toward the gathered gods like a kid trying to sneakily point out a group of angry teachers to a friend. Harry realized he must have zoned out during the "rewards and speeches" portion of the evening.
"…What?" Harry asked.
Percy jerked his head toward the silent, staring Olympians. Harry sighed, a long, weary, and deeply annoyed sound that echoed through the room. He had been ignoring them on purpose, but it seemed the peanut gallery wasn't going to let him leave without a scene. Who was he kidding? Even he couldn't have ignored them for long with the way his Campione senses were pinging just from their presence.
He stood up slowly, as he turned and faced the gods.
"…What?" he asked again with the same tone he used for Percy, as if he was annoyed.
The reaction was immediate. Zeus's face twitched, his grip tightening on his Master Bolt until sparks danced along his knuckles. The other gods looked ready to jump him, too.
Though even as a Campione, he wasn't stupid enough to think he could take all of them at once in their own home at that, but he wasn't about to bow, either.
Surprisingly, it was the Fates who spoke first.
"What are you, abomination?" all three screamed in a discordant harmony that grated against reality itself.
The gods and demigods stayed silent, watching the drama unfold. The Moirai stepped forward as one, their presence pressing against Harry's aura like a physical weight.
"Oh my," Harry said dramatically, placing a hand over his chest. "Now that hurts my feelings. Abomination? Really?"
"Speak, outsider!" they screamed again. "You are not of the weave. You are that which was never meant to be!"
"You interfered with the Prophecy," the second chanted. "You took the choice away from the Child of the Sea."
"And you are no son of Pandora," the third hissed, her milky eyes piercing.
Harry's smile widened, growing sharp and dangerous. "But I am a son of Pandora," he said, his voice dropping into a melodic chill. He turned toward Hermes and Apollo. "Tell me… do I lie? You are the gods of truth and the patrons of clever tongues. Do I lie?"
The room turned to the two gods. Apollo looked at Harry for a long time, his golden eyes staring like they were trying to bore into Harry's soul. He looked troubled before he spoke.
"…No," Apollo said, his voice firm. "He speaks the truth. However impossible that may be."
That seemed to surprise the fates as they turned their gaze back at Harry with the other gods and demigods, who were all whispering.
"ENOUGH!" Zeus's voice thundered, and lightning cracked across the sky outside the open pavilion. "Who are you? How dare you interfere in the sacred affairs of Olympus and mock the Fates themselves!"
Harry raised a brow, completely unimpressed. Was this guy really playing the "interference" card?
"What, no 'thank you' for solving your daddy issues?" Harry mocked. "I'd think a little gratitude was in order for saving your thrones while you were busy playing tag with a storm giant."
The sky exploded. Lightning danced along the columns of the throne room.
"YOU DARE—!" his presence spreading across the room in fury.
Harry stood his ground, his eyes shining with emerald light. He let his presence, which he had kept tightly coiled, bleed out into the room.
"Look… I just finished kicking your father's ass, and I'm in a remarkably good mood," Harry said, his voice vibrating in the bones of every demigod present. "But I'm not one to just fold because some lightning-throwing egomaniac with an ego the size of the sky decides to try and intimidate me."
The two auras clashed in the center of the room, the blue, stormy power of Zeus and the dark green pressure of Harry. The marble floor began to crack between them. Demigods dropped to their knees, gasping for air, and the other Olympians gripped their weapons, ready to jump him at any moment.
"Please," a soft, warm voice cut through the tension. Hestia stepped forward, her small form looking tiny against the two giants of power. "The children are here. They have suffered enough already. clam yourselves."
Silence fell as Harry glanced behind him to see the demigods before he exhaled and withdrew his aura, Zeus following a second later with a murderous look.
"…Thank you," Hestia said gently. She gave him a smile, but it was strained. She looked like she was trying to be kind while simultaneously wanting to retreat from Harry's presence.
Harry knew why. As a Campione, his very existence was a blasphemy to gods. He was a natural predator. So, he decided to try an experiment. He pulled his aura inward and layered it with a thin, shimmering film of "Faith" energy, the power he had gathered from his worshippers in the Game of Thrones world.
The difference was immediate. The "wrongness" was still there, but it was wrapped in a divine radiance the Olympians recognized.
"You… you feel like a god. but..." Athena said slowly, her grey eyes analyzing him with terrifying intensity. "Just what are you?" she asked, eyes narrowed.
Harry smiled. He was leaving anyway, so why not have fun "I'm a Campione," he said simply.
"Champion?" Annabeth whispered.
"No," Harry chuckled, his eyes gleaming. "A Campione is a ruler. A tyrant king. A devil king." He stepped forward, his full aura returning for just a split second. "A campione, a Godslayer."
The room went cold. Weapons appeared in the hands of the gods.
"That's impossible," someone whispered.
"Is it?" Harry glanced back with a smirk. "Ask Hyperion. Oh, wait. You can't."
"Relax, you overgrown children," Harry sighed, waving his hand dismissively. "As much as I want to fight you and believe me, my blood is boiling at the thought of killing a few more of you, I fortunately have somewhere to be. I don't have time to entertain your tantrums."
"And you think we will just let you leave?" Athena's voice was like ice.
Harry paused, then laughed. It was a soft, mocking sound. "Let me? Do you truly believe you can stop me?"
"Wait!" Percy Jackson called out, rubbing the back of his head. "The Pandora thing… You said you were the son of Pandora, right, or was that a lie?"
Harry looked at the boy, who was blushing as he rubbed the back of his head. Only this kid would have the balls to ask a question here and now like this.
"All campione are the children of Pandora," Harry told him. Annabeth, who was by Percy's side, seemed confused and seemed to have had some of Percy's attitude rub off on her these past few years, since she blurted out a question of her own.
"How does that even work. Like, is every child of Pandora a godslayer?" she asked, confused, " and I still don't understand how you're the son of Pandora if she's dead".
"Well, it's clearly obvious," Harry says as if talking to a child,
"Simple. I'm from another world, duh," Harry said, shaking his head in an exaggerated manner.
"What," a few people say. God, Harry loved messing with people, it was just so fun.
"Anyways, I really have to go now," he said. He had spent a bit of time away from his family already, and he was not going to delay going home any further. As he walked away, lightning struck his front, stopping him.
"We are not finished here," Zeus commanded, rising again.
Harry stopped. Slowly, he turned back to the God-King, his eyes cold as he glared at the godking. Something in his expression shifted. Darkened.
"You're starting to piss me off, Zeus."
Zeus didn't hesitate. He fired a bolt of lightning. Harry moved with a speed that defied the eyes of the demigods. He slashed his hand through the air, cutting a rift in space itself. The lightning vanished into the void, only for a second rift to open directly above Zeus's throne.
BOOM.
The God-King was blasted from his seat by his own power, the explosion sending the nearby gods stumbling. Harry snorted, turning his back on them as he opened another rift to the void.
"I was going to leave and maybe not return," Harry said, looking over his shoulder with eyes that glowed a terrifying green. "But now? I'll definitely return just to spite you. Maybe I'll bring some of my siblings with me. After all, what's better than one Godslayer? Seven. I'm sure they'd have a lot of fun in this world of yours."
He stepped into the rift, shutting it just as Ares's spear whistled through the air, almost reaching him.
Harry stood in the black, silent void, creating his pathway. He had been tempted to let Ares follow him, but he knew better. If they started fighting in this space and attracted the Outergod, it would be a disaster.
Instead of walking, he simply folded space, reaching the end of the path in a single step. Now that he knew they were outergods in the void, he was not going to be walking anymore, better to just get to his destination and fast. He cut open one last rift and stepped through.
Home.
"I'm back."
Harry stepped into his manor. The air was warm, smelling of vanilla and tea. His girls were all there, Daphne, Anya, and Tonks, all of them sitting on the couches.
Every head snapped toward him at once.
For a heartbeat, there was total silence.
Then, movement as they rushed him. Harry opened his arms, expecting a warm embrace—
BAM.
"…Ow."
"You bastard!" Nymphadora Tonks shouted, her hair cycling through a violent shade of red as she punched him in the face.
"You absolute idiot!" Daphne followed up with a stinging slap.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Anya shrieked as she hit him, too.
"You idiot", "son of a..." all of them started yelling things at him as they beat him up.
