Seeing Crime Scenes in My Sleep

In the room, Jiang Li threw Lin Jin onto the bed and immediately started pulling at her pants.

"SOB, SOB... No!" Lin Jin frantically shook her head, tears streaming from her eyes.

Jiang Li moved fast. A single glance was all she needed to understand. "So it really was you. You absolute beast!"

Jiang Li grabbed Lin Jin and slapped her hard across the face. SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! "You call yourself a woman? How could you do this to Liu Xuyan!"

The more Jiang Li thought about it, the angrier she got. Lin Jin might look like a woman, but what was between her legs was very real, too.

The Liu Family and Liu Xuyan had trusted her completely, and this was how she repaid them.

Lin Jin pulled her pants back on and quickly scrambled to the edge of the bed, her expression instantly turning vicious.

"What do you know? It’s love! Yanyan loves me."

Jiang Li slapped her again. "What gives you the insane delusion that she would like you?"

Clutching her face, Lin Jin glared at Jiang Li through gritted teeth. "We ate together, slept together, and bathed together. She relied on me. She would even smile at me."

"If that isn’t love, what is?"

"Yanyan is pregnant with my child now. If she knew it was me, she’d definitely want to be with me."

"I’ll take care of her for the rest of her life!"

Lin Jin looked at Jiang Li with utter conviction. ’Our relationship is so good. Even if Liu Xuyan found out the truth, she wouldn’t blame me.’

’Besides, Liu Xuyan is carrying our child now.’

"Bah! That was your job! Liu Xuyan is a kind person; she smiles at everyone."

Jiang Li stopped the recording on her phone, then stepped forward and grabbed Lin Jin by the hair.

Jiang Li was seething, but she couldn’t find the words to curse her out.

"Bah! You’re so desperate you probably think anyone who looks your way is glowing like a damn beacon!

"Love you? My ass! You’re a fucking freak of nature, not human, not a ghost, just a goddamn animal! Is your passport from Thailand or something? You homegrown fucking she-male..."

Wu Ming pushed the door open, walked in, pointed at Lin Jin, and let loose a torrent of curses, damning her and eighteen generations of her ancestors.

Cheng Xiangyu walked in with a grave expression and looked at Lin Jin on the bed. They had heard everything from outside.

He never imagined that Lin Jin was, in fact, intersex.

"Take her away!" The officers behind Cheng Xiangyu rushed in, handcuffed Lin Jin, and escorted her to a car.

In the hospital, Cao Yan stumbled the moment she got the news. ’So I was the one,’ she thought in horror. ’I was the one who let the wolf in the door and brought harm to my own daughter!’

Cao Yan looked at Liu Xuyan on the hospital bed and wiped away her tears. After a glance at the police officers by the door, she hurried to the station.

"It really wasn’t me. I have no idea why that... thing... was found in Yanyan’s room."

Liu Yan struggled to explain. He hadn’t been able to eat or sleep properly because of what happened to his daughter, and he was in a constant daze.

He never expected the blame to fall on him.

’How could I... How could I be such a beast? That’s my own daughter.’

As Jiang Li followed Cheng Xiangyu and his team inside, she heard Liu Yan’s hoarse voice.

Cheng Xiangyu hurried forward. "Mr. Liu, I apologize. We were misled. We’ve caught the real culprit now."

Hearing that the culprit had been caught, Liu Yan stopped protesting and grabbed Cheng Xiangyu’s hands excitedly.

"You caught them? Who was it?"

Cheng Xiangyu looked at Liu Yan. ’If Jiang Li hadn’t acted so quickly,’ he thought, ’all the evidence would have pointed to Mr. Liu.’

’My men even found some of Liu Yan’s hair on Liu Xuyan’s bed.’

’Now, it seemed clear this was all Lin Jin’s handiwork.’

Liu Yan watched as Lin Jin was escorted in, his face a mask of confusion. ’Isn’t Lin Jin a woman?’

"Mr. Liu," Jiang Li began to explain, "Lin Jin is intersex. She developed feelings for Miss Liu while taking care of her, and that’s when these malicious thoughts began to form."

As Jiang Li spoke, she played the recording on her phone.

After listening to the entire recording, Liu Yan was trembling with rage. He never would have imagined, not in a million years, that this was the truth.

"Let me go! Yanyan and I are in love! What happened between us was perfectly normal," Lin Jin yelled, still struggling.

Liu Yan pointed a trembling finger at her. "Bah! How could my daughter possibly be in love with you?"

Cao Yan, who had just arrived, heard the truth and nearly fainted as her vision went black. Steading herself, she lunged forward and started tearing at Lin Jin, screaming through her tears.

"Why?! We were so good to you! Why would you do this to my daughter?!"

"Mom, Dad, you like me too, don’t you? From now on, we’ll be one big family," Lin Jin said, looking fawningly at Liu Yan and Cao Yan.

Cao Yan had already ripped out a handful of Lin Jin’s hair and left deep scratches on her face and hands. Hearing such shameless words now, she was so enraged she stumbled back a step and pointed.

"In your dreams! How could my daughter ever like a thing like you?! As for the baby... my daughter is planning on getting an abortion."

Lin Jin’s struggles ceased instantly. She looked up, shocked. "How could she? That’s our child!"

"She doesn’t know, does she? She doesn’t know it’s me."

"I have to see her! I have to tell her myself that it’s our child..."

Jiang Li turned to Cao Yan. "Mrs. Liu, I’m sure Miss Liu would also want to know who is responsible for all this."

Cao Yan didn’t agree to Jiang Li’s suggestion. "I’ll have to ask Yanyan. If she’s willing, then I have no objection."

’What if I bring Lin Jin over rashly and it upsets Yanyan, making her condition worse?’

Jiang Li nodded. She was about to head to the hospital herself when she spotted the two drunks from earlier that day.

"Officer, I... I just had too much to drink. I wasn’t thinking straight."

Yang Gang said, making a show of slapping his own face, though the gesture was more of a light pat.

"Yeah, Officer, we just drank too much," the other chimed in. "Besides, they hit us back. Can’t we just let this go?"

The two went back and forth, trying to laugh the whole thing off.

"Being drunk is no excuse for sexual harassment," Cheng Xiangyu snapped. "You’ll be dealt with according to the law. What are you looking at me for? Do I have the law written on my face?"

At Cheng Xiangyu’s sharp rebuke, several officers immediately hauled the two men away for questioning and detention.

Soon, an interrogator came out and walked over to Cheng Xiangyu and Jiang Li.

"Lin Jin keeps insisting that Miss Liu was in love with her, that she was into her. She claims that’s why she covered her face during the assault."

"According to our background check, Lin Jin has been an outcast since childhood. Her family disliked her, and she was even bullied at work over using the restroom."

"She completely misinterpreted Liu Xuyan’s kindness. Her condition is similar to a type of paranoia."

"Whenever someone shows her the slightest bit of kindness, she assumes they’re in love with her."
