"Where is Belva and that ruffian at?" Margaret suddenly approached the Principal and inquired.

She had specifically requested that Belva be present because she wanted her to see the changes she made.

"Uhh, that’s a good question." Leon smiled awkwardly and scanned the auditorium.

Nobody in the scene reacted, much less sensed anything was amiss. That was the power of an Eighth Circle Mage.

They could scan and perceive a large crowd within the blink of an eye to locate a single individual.

"Hmm, they don’t seem to have arrived yet." He relayed his findings.

"Not here yet?" Margaret frowned. "Belva is never the type to be late. It’s definitely that ruffian causing some trouble again."

Although her reasoning was somewhat incorrect, it wasn’t entirely false either.

After all, Belva’s lateness was indeed related to Ray’s insistence. The only difference was that Ray wasn’t seeking trouble this time, but was actually doing actual business.

"I’ll go look for them." Margaret declared and vanished.

"She didn’t even ask me for permission," Leon whined slightly.

"I’m pretty sure that was a statement and not a request." Elsa coughed and clarified. She was used to Margaret’s antics as well, and honestly, she rarely wanted to dabble in her matter.

Even though she was the Vice Principal, she couldn’t just exert her authority without sufficient reason.

Moreover, it was a pain to deal with Margaret when her stubbornness kicked in.

"So what now?" Leon raised an eyebrow. "We’re going to miss a professor, and it’ll be a bad look on my end."

"When do you ever actually care about your reputation?"

"Who said I don’t care about that? I still need to look the part as Principal."

Had it not been for the last statement and the frantic look in his face, Elsa might have believed he was serious in keeping up with his prestige.

’Sigh, if only they knew about Leon’s true color.’ Elsa shook her head.

Others only knew about his famous deeds and power, but she knew he was just a slacker as well.

He only did what was required to ensure his slacking days could be prolonged.

Of course, that didn’t mean he had no principle either. There were some lines that Leon absolutely condemned and wouldn’t hesitate to act on the spot.

"I believe you should take this time to greet the sponsors. It would be unwise if you don’t even acknowledge these cash cows." Elsa reminded softly.

"You’re right. We need to keep milking the cash cows so I don’t have to work too hard." Leon nodded in agreement. Since he needed to delay the welcome ceremony until Margaret’s return, he could totally use this as a pretext and excuse to delay the start.

Not to mention, he could probably gain more funds by asking for them straight up in their faces.

While Leonard and Elsa decided to greet their sponsors, outside the auditorium, two people were still searching for the so-called discreet place.

"This should be the fifth place." Belva counted and marked the location on the map.

"Do you think it’s this one?" She then asked, her eyes staring at Ray.

"Hmm, the texture and decoration are a bit off." Ray pursed his lips. At a glance, the scenery seemed to be the same, but there was a slight difference.

He didn’t wish to brag or anything, but he was proficient in these ’find the differences’ game modes.

And his keen eyes told him that this wasn’t the spot.

"Another dud, huh." Belva wasn’t disappointed and simply marked an "X" on this place.

"There’s another alley not far from here. Shall we go and check it out?" She suggested.

"Okay, you know the campus more than I do." Ray didn’t refuse the suggestion. Between him and her, the latter obviously understood the terrain more than he did.

She was once a student here, as opposed to him, who only learned the simplified gist of the terrain through text.

Just when Belva was about to lead the way, a voice suddenly echoed and interrupted their activity.

"What are you two doing here instead of heading to the auditorium?"

"Ugh, it’s this annoying voice again."

It didn’t even take a second for Ray to know whose snobby voice this belonged to.

Seriously... can’t she find some other thing to be obsessed with?

Her behavior was no different than a creepy stalker now, and if possible, Ray wanted to call the FBI or whatever the authorities were addressing in this world.

"I wouldn’t be here if you weren’t dragging Belva around to your trouble-making antics." Margaret was equally annoyed by Ray’s snarky comment.

Did she look like someone with a lot of free time?

As if she even cared about Ray.

"Get rid of her, or you can get out with her." Ray rolled his eyes and told Belva. He wouldn’t mind farming some Villain Points if it weren’t for the time constraint.

There definitely had to be a reason why the system insisted on giving him Foresight.

"Professor Margaret, what are you doing here?" Belva pursed her lips and asked. She should have been at the auditorium and not here.

"You’re kidding, right?" Margaret narrowed her eyes.

It was almost impossible for Belva, her cherished protege, to not understand the reason why she appeared here.

"The Young Master is doing something important," Belva explained.

"Something even more important than the welcome ceremony?"

"Yes, that is the case."

Although Belva didn’t know exactly why Ray was adamant in searching this place, she believed he wasn’t the type to waste so much time and stamina on something insignificant.

His lazy nature was evident, and if something that could cause him to not be lazy, it meant that the issue was very significant.

"You’re that confident in him?" Margaret was stunned by her near blind belief.

"Yes, I am." Belva nodded with a stern expression. The mere fact that Ray was capable of altering her contract without alarming anyone else was evidence of his mysterious abilities.

"Fine, I’ll tag along and see what the two of you are up to." Margaret decided.

"Want to tag along? Pay us money!" Ray suddenly intervened and demanded a fee.
