Chapter 415: With Us Here, You Won’t Hurt Her
Shen Nian was indeed bluffing, but Liu Fanglan’s reaction all but confirmed her suspicions.
She had originally planned to wait for the results of Lu Cheng’s investigation, but now it seemed there was no need.
"It’s fine if you don’t want to admit it. The Group is already conducting a thorough investigation. Do you really think you can hide what you did from them?"
Shen Nian didn’t think Liu Fanglan had that kind of capability.
Sure enough, the color drained from Liu Fanglan’s face when she heard Shen Nian. In Liu Fanglan’s mind, the Group was an all-powerful entity; if they were investigating, they would definitely be able to uncover the truth.
"You’re lying! I... I didn’t do anything!"
Even Liu Fanglan herself didn’t know if she was trying to fool Shen Nian or just reassuring herself.
"We’ll see whether I’m lying by the end of the day. The results should be out. Sister-in-law Liu, you reap what you sow. Heaven is always watching!"
Shen Nian had no desire to set someone like Liu Fanglan straight. Her way of thinking was simply too twisted, not something that could be fixed just by wanting it to be.
"You... It’s all your fault! All your fault! You’re a jinx! Why did you have to come here? Why?!"
Shen Nian’s words were the last straw. Liu Fanglan was filled with regret, but even so, she still pushed all the blame onto Shen Nian.
As she spoke, Liu Fanglan even lunged at Shen Nian, looking as if she intended to take them both down.
Shen Nian, of course, had been watching Liu Fanglan closely, so she was prepared for her to make a move.
However, before Shen Nian could even dodge, she heard two familiar voices shouting from behind her.
"Liu Fanglan, stop!"
The words had barely faded when Shen Nian felt herself being pulled aside. She then saw Lin Jingyun and Zhang Ying standing beside her, protecting her like a pair of guardian angels.
Lin Jingyun and Zhang Ying were both glaring coldly at Liu Fanglan, but the sight filled Shen Nian’s heart with an extraordinary warmth.

Lin Jingyun and Zhang Ying didn’t notice Shen Nian’s warm gaze at all. Right now, they were both staring intently at Liu Fanglan with stern expressions.
"Liu Fanglan, what were you trying to do to Xiao Nian now!"
"We saw that! You were about to attack Xiao Nian, weren’t you!"
"What’s it to you? Mind your own business! Are you Shen Nian’s nannies or something?"
Liu Fanglan seemed to have reached a point of reckless desperation. Normally, she would never dare to go too far in front of Lin Jingyun and Zhang Ying.
After all, one was the department head’s wife, and the other was the group leader’s wife—neither were people she could afford to offend. But now, she clearly didn’t care about the consequences.
"The way you talk is just disgusting! As long as we’re here, don’t even think about hurting Xiao Nian!"
As she spoke, Lin Jingyun deliberately stepped further in front of Shen Nian. Zhang Ying joined her, and together, they completely shielded Shen Nian, making it impossible for Liu Fanglan to get anywhere near her.
However, even so, they had still underestimated just how utterly deranged Liu Fanglan had become.
