Meng Sijia, whom Lin Jingyun had mentioned was busy rehearsing for the upcoming gala, also heard the rumors and was instantly beside herself with rage.

There was no way *she* would have spread a rumor that Lu Cheng had issues in that department! Who on earth could have started this? If she ever found out who it was, she would make them pay!
"Si Jia, what’s wrong? You look awful."
A colleague from the entertainment department noticed Meng Sijia’s expression growing darker and came over to console her.
"I’m fine."
Meng Sijia shook her head. ’As for whether Chengyu was behind this, I’ll just have to grill him when I get home. The crucial thing right now is that it seems like a lot of people have already heard the rumor.’

The two women, having been berated by Meng Sijia, quickly slinked away. However, once they were a safe distance away, they glanced back at the fuming Meng Sijia and resumed their complaints in hushed tones.

Meng Sijia waited impatiently for the day’s practice to end, then requested time off and left the company. The very first thing she did upon returning home was to find Meng Chengyu and confront him about the rumor.
Meanwhile, Meng Chengyu was still fuming about someone swooping in on him earlier that day. When he heard his sister was home, he was about to ask her to look into the identity of the man who had picked up Shen Nian and her group.
But the moment he ran into Meng Sijia, he was met with a furious tirade from her.
"Sis, what are you talking about?! Don’t pin this on me, okay? I didn’t do anything!"
"You didn’t do it? You’re sure you didn’t? Then if it wasn’t you, who was it?"
