Chu Yunze got out of the car as well. He walked over to the pair, gave a nod, and then led Shen Nian and Lu Cheng forward.
"Young Master, you’re back!"
The moment the three of them stepped inside, the Chu Family’s housekeeper, Sister Zhang, came forward to greet them.
"Young Master Lu is here too! Welcome, welcome. And this is...?"
Sister Zhang only knew that the Chu Family was expecting guests today, but not who they were specifically.
’This isn’t the first time I’ve seen Young Master Lu, so when I saw him, I assumed he was the guest for today. But there’s a young, beautiful girl with him. Who is she? My employers didn’t mention her. What should I call her?’

"This is Lu Cheng’s wife. Her surname is Shen, so you can just call her Miss Shen. This is our housekeeper, Sister Zhang. She’s been with our family for many years."
Sensing Sister Zhang’s predicament, Chu Yunze spoke up.
Hearing the young master’s words, Sister Zhang finally breathed a sigh of relief. She then looked at Shen Nian, smiled, and said,
"Hello, Miss Shen. I’d heard that Young Master Lu was married. You and Young Master Lu are certainly a perfect match!"
Sister Zhang wasn’t just flattering them; she genuinely felt that Lu Cheng and Shen Nian looked great together. Moreover, with her experienced eye, she could tell that the affection between Miss Shen and Young Master Lu must be very strong!
"Hello, Sister Zhang!"
Shen Nian smiled back at Sister Zhang as she greeted her. Even though the other woman was just a housekeeper, Shen Nian would never look down on anyone who earned a living with their own two hands.
Besides, Chu Yunze had said that Sister Zhang had been with the Chu Family for many years. She must be deeply trusted by them. Perhaps, in the Chu Family’s eyes, they already saw someone like Sister Zhang as one of their own.

After ushering them inside, Sister Zhang went to prepare tea and snacks. She had indeed worked for the Chu Family for many years, and they treated her like family. But she’d been doing these tasks for so long that they were second nature; she’d be unhappy if they didn’t let her do them!
After the three of them walked through the door, Shen Nian saw a middle-aged man and woman sitting in the living room. ’They must be Chu Yunze’s parents,’ she thought.
"Mom, Dad, I brought Lu Cheng and his wife!"
Sure enough, as soon as Chu Yunze walked over, he called out to his parents.
Hearing his voice, Chu Yunze’s parents, Chu Deming and Gao Ruolan, stood up and looked toward Lu Cheng and Shen Nian.
Chu Deming looked at Lu Cheng and nodded in acknowledgment, while Gao Ruolan’s gaze went straight to Shen Nian. She paused for a moment upon seeing her, then smiled and walked right over.
"Oh, you must be Xiao Nian! I’ve only heard Lu Cheng talk about you before, but now I finally get to see you in person! You’re so beautiful, and you and Lu Cheng look so wonderful together!"
Gao Ruolan walked right up, took Shen Nian’s hand, and spoke with a face full of admiration.
Shen Nian was a little taken aback by Gao Ruolan’s enthusiasm, but she quickly composed herself and smiled back at her.
"Hello, Auntie!"
"Oh my, not only are you beautiful, but your voice is so lovely too!"
