Chapter 340: All Attention on Him
Although Luo Bin was only a vice group leader, the position wasn’t considered too low within the corporation. On a daily basis, her status as the vice group leader’s wife was a frequent source of envy.
If Luo Bin were no longer the vice group leader, then she, of course, would no longer be the vice group leader’s wife! Would those envious gazes still remain?

Seeing Liu Fanglan stop arguing, Luo Bin paid her no more mind. He picked up the frightened Luo Xiaohu, returned to their room, and left Liu Fanglan alone in the living room to think things over.

Poor Shen Nian, so innocently blamed for something she knew nothing about. In fact, she had no idea the couple across the hall was even fighting.
It wasn’t until she heard the sound of a door opening outside that Shen Nian knew Lu Cheng must be home. She immediately ran out to greet him.
Just as Lu Cheng was opening the door, Shen Nian heard arguing from across the hall. She glanced outside, then back at Lu Cheng. It was clear they were both surprised.
Once Lu Cheng closed the door, blocking out the noise from next door, Shen Nian looked at him and spoke.
"Are they... arguing across the hall?"
Lu Cheng looked a bit helpless. He’d never lived in this apartment after applying for it, so this was the first time—just like for Shen Nian—that he learned his neighbors argued late at night.
Shen Nian had considered that this kind of communal living was bound to have some friction. She already knew Liu Fanglan had a problem with her, but she never expected Liu Fanglan to act like this in her own home!
’Thinking about it, that Vice Group Leader Luo seems pretty pitiful.’
"Don’t worry so much about other people’s business."
Seeing Shen Nian so concerned about the neighbors, Lu Cheng couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy. He’d been away for so long and had finally come back to her; he wished he could have all of her attention focused solely on him!
"I’m not going to get involved! Anyway, I just made some snacks. Come and try them, see if you like them."
The snacks Shen Nian had bought from Dingshi Restaurant weren’t just for giving as welcome gifts. More importantly, she had wanted to study the flavors of the snacks produced by this famous eatery.
And what Shen Nian made today was the result of that study. She could guarantee that the snacks she made were in no way inferior to those from Dingshi Restaurant.
Still, she wanted to see what Lu Cheng thought after trying them.
"Mm."
Hearing that Shen Nian was no longer concerned with the neighbors, Lu Cheng nodded in satisfaction. He then followed her over and tried the snacks she had made.
During his time at home before, Lu Cheng had eaten plenty of Shen Nian’s homemade food, and he had nothing but praise for her culinary skills.
He loved everything she made! ’This time will surely be no different!’
"Delicious! They’re all delicious!"
Lu Cheng tried a piece of each. After declaring his verdict, he couldn’t resist taking another bite of every single one.
"Really? It’s a shame my equipment is so limited. Otherwise, I could have made even more varieties."
After all, this wasn’t the future. There were no multi-function ovens or roasters here. Even if she could find a way to buy one, the price certainly wouldn’t be cheap.
