Chapter 241: The Universe Is Adapting to Him, Your Majesty

Odin saw through this son, who had been skilled at schemes and calculation since childhood, with a single glance.

But he did not expose him.

Instead, he asked, "Why should we interfere?"

"Has a rebellion emerged in Midgard to oppose Asgard's rule?"

"Midgard has long forgotten Asgard's greatness and Asgard's mighty name, Father," Loki replied without panic, still respectful and humble.

Thor looked at his brother in confusion, then at his father.

After thinking for a moment, he felt that his dear little brother's words made a lot of sense.

In Thor's current view, since Midgard was part of Asgard's territory, then the people of Midgard should not forget Asgard's greatness.

"How do you wish to interfere?" Odin asked calmly.

Yet it was precisely that calm that made Loki feel a trace of unease. Whatever thoughts he had been keeping to himself vanished instantly.

After a moment's thought, he cautiously probed, "Should we go to Midgard and make contact with that Midgardian?"

Midgard was also known as the Middle Realm. It was simply a different name for the same place.

Odin fell silent because of Loki's words. His single eye gazed at Loki, and his old, majestic face showed no emotion.

But for some reason, Loki felt that his father seemed to be sighing over something.

Fortunately, that feeling did not last long, because Odin spoke.

"Go back. Think it through before you speak again."

Loki's heart sank.

He knew he had been too eager, but he hid every shift in his emotions very well. Outwardly, he remained calm and respectfully bowed to his father, Odin, before leaving the palace hall together with his golden-haired, foolish elder brother, who still had no idea what was going on.

Watching Loki leave, Odin felt disappointment mixed with a trace of numbness.

Loki had always been like this.

Or rather, it was simply in his nature.

He kept all his thoughts to himself. He was instinctively wary of the outside world and everyone around him.

But he hid it well. He learned from Thor and blended in with Asgard's warriors, making himself seem easy to get along with.

Yet anyone who spent enough time with him would eventually realize that something was off.

One brother was too straightforward.

The other overthought everything.

In a way, the two brothers really were a perfect match.

At the thought, Odin couldn't help but smile.

He turned back to watch the sun gradually sink below the horizon. The stars had already begun to appear. As he looked up at the night sky, the weight on his mind seemed to ease a little.

"Terra, Emperor, Astartes, Raven, Grey Knights."

"A rising human empire. How truly worth looking forward to."

"What a pity. I am already old."

Regret lingered in Odin's heart.

But that regret soon disappeared. With the anxiety in his heart gone, the King of the Gods was in a very good mood.

He decided to find his wife, Frigga, and have a proper talk about this matter.

The future would need to change.

A lion in his twilight was still a lion. When his sharpness and majesty returned, he could still show the bearing of a king.

Before that, he had to meet someone.

He needed to confirm something from that person.

…

Kamar-Taj, inside the ancient sorcerer hall.

The starry sky flowed overhead.

Inside the brightly lit hall, several Kamar-Taj sorcerers were quietly reading magic books, while others were meditating.

The Ancient One held an ancient scroll in her hands and read in silence.

Dressed in white sorcerer robes, she looked calm and graceful. Unlike the noise of the great cities outside, this place was quieter and more peaceful.

Suddenly, the Ancient One's brow twitched slightly.

Invisible ripples spread through the air, but none of the sorcerers in the hall noticed.

The next moment, a figure appeared in front of the Ancient One.

An elderly, one-eyed man with white hair.

It was Odin.

Even though Odin had appeared inside the hall, the sorcerers seemed unaware of him and continued doing their own things.

"Ah, King Odin. Good evening."

The Ancient One greeted Odin with the respect he deserved, as though welcoming an old friend she had not seen in a long time. Her smile was genuine, even though the two of them had never truly interacted before.

The Ancient One placed the scroll in her hands down, lifted the teapot from the table before her, and poured Odin a cup of hot tea.

Odin did not stand on ceremony. After a slight nod, he took the cup and drank.

Still, I'd rather have a good wine, he thought.

"Good evening, Sorcerer Supreme Ancient One."

In terms of pure strength, Odin was certainly above the Ancient One. But when it came to status, the two of them had room to speak as equals.

The Ancient One had two titles.

Guardian of Earth and Sorcerer Supreme.

Originally, the two titles carried a similar nature. But the latter was different, because behind it stood the God of White Magic, the Vishanti.

Even Odin had to take that seriously.

If she were only the guardian of Earth, then in a certain sense, the Ancient One's status would be lower than Odin's.

But neither the Ancient One nor Odin mentioned any of this.

"Has Your Majesty come because of him?" The Ancient One asked directly, playing no mind games.

Odin nodded slightly and sighed. His old voice carried weariness. "I want to confirm something with you, Sorcerer Supreme."

"This concerns Asgard's future."

"That is why I came so suddenly. Please forgive the intrusion."

"I understand."

The Ancient One nodded. After lifting her teacup and taking a sip, she said softly, "Do you wish to meet him yourself?"

"No. Now is not the right time." Odin shook his head.

The Ancient One understood.

Then she looked straight at Odin and said seriously, "He is a miracle that cannot be understood."

"The multiverse is adapting to him, rather than him merging into and adapting to this universe."

Boom!

The Ancient One's blunt words made even the ever-calm Odin's expression change. Unconcealed shock appeared on his face as he stared at her.

It was as if he were trying to confirm what she had just said.

The Ancient One met the King of the Gods' gaze without flinching. Her eyes remained calm.

"How… is that possible?"

After a long while, Odin spoke, his voice a little dry.

His old voice was filled with disbelief.

The meaning of those words was too great.

So great that it went beyond Odin's imagination and understanding.

"This is only my guess, Your Majesty," the Ancient One added at once when she saw his reaction.

But Odin did not treat that addition as an excuse. Instead, it made him more certain of the truth behind her earlier words.

Odin's mind faintly stalled.

Even his thoughts began to fall into disorder.

"No wonder. No wonder after he appeared, you did not correct him."

"Is his appearance a disaster, or salvation?"

After some time, reason returned. Odin barely suppressed the shock in his heart and frowned slightly. "Sorcerer Supreme, do you believe this is a good thing?"

"Based on my observation of him, yes."

"Thank you, Sorcerer Supreme. When you have time, please visit Asgard as a guest. I have disturbed you."

Odin left. He left very decisively.

The moment he departed, the obscure, frozen time returned to normal. The Ancient One picked up the ancient scroll again and continued reading, but her gaze grew deeper and deeper.

"The One Above All..."
