Chapter 729: Breakthrough
After Xing Lu's departure, Chen Qing set aside his tangled thoughts for the moment.
The most pressing matter now was to report this marriage alliance clearly to the founding patriarch.
He swung himself onto the Northern Darkness Kunpeng, its massive form shooting skyward, tearing through the void toward the Supreme Void Court.
The sea of clouds fell rapidly away beneath him, and Chen Qing took out the jade slip, contacting Lin Daoji.
A response soon came from the other end of the jade slip.
"What is it?" Lin Daoji asked.
Chen Qing drew a deep breath, briefly recounting what had just occurred upon the Xuanji Terrace, adding at the end, "Palace Master Yun said the marriage alliance would be settled privately for now, and that either side may withdraw at any time should either party prove unsatisfied."
"She also gave this disciple a Thunder Essence Pearl, saying it was a gift for our first meeting."
The other end of the jade slip fell silent for a moment.
