At the edge of the horizon, a magnificent giant city sprawled across the earth, its back against a vast mountain range shrouded in rolling clouds and mist.
The city walls were higher than any prefecture or county city they had ever seen, like an artificially forged gray-black mountain range stretching across heaven and earth.
The walls extended to both sides, impossibly far, seemingly merging with the distant mountains. There was no way to see where the city's boundaries ended.

On those roads right now, there were countless flows of people, carriages and horses, and even exotic riding beasts surging majestically into the city, making the gates look like giant mouths swallowing everything under heaven.
In the deepest part of the city, near the mountains.
