Universe For All: I Am Mechanical Species

Chapter 80: Hope

After successfully experimenting on the new Photon Carbon Crystal (PCC).

The UMPU X2 chips, once the vanguard of his processing capability, were now functionally inert relics. Keon mentally filed them for deconstruction, their precious space and energy consumption better allocated to the new standard. His focus shifted from the single crystal prototype to the vast, decentralized network it was destined to upgrade.

Keon then started optimizing his Nano Main Frame (NMF). The NMF, the one-millimeter dodecahedron unit, had quickly become the main basic structural unit of his civilization. Everything on this planet... the massive, self-healing geometric bases, the rapid-deployment drones, and even the layered network of orbital satellites... now fundamentally consisted of trillions of these units. His entire technological tree was streamlined; it was all based on the NMF. Optimizing this core unit would automatically cascade and optimize his whole civilization in a single, systemic upgrade.

With a definitive internal command, Keon tasked the planetary neural network to begin optimizing the existing NMF blueprint, integrating the new, light-based processing architecture of the Photon Carbon Crystal (PCC).

As the neural network began the colossal computational task of modifying the NMF’s structural and electrical pathways, Keon shifted his integrated processing power to researching the optimization of his existing components and machines. This was the moment to leverage the rest of the new, artificially synthesized materials: the Adaptive Lattice Alloy, the Thermo-Regulating Fluid, the High Luminous Compression Crystal, and the Super Magnetic Fluid.

He began pairing the new materials with core mechanical assets. The friction-reducing Thermo-Regulating Fluid and high-field Super Magnetic Fluid were integrated into the motors and magnetic induction machines. The resilient Adaptive Lattice Alloy was applied to hydraulics and gravity field generators for increased durability and structural integrity. Most crucially, the High Luminous Compression Crystal was targeted for the energy storage system currently reliant on primitive carbon battery cells.

After a focused period of parallel computation, several optimized blueprints materialized instantly in the air in front of him, projected directly into his lenses. The designs were flawless: enhanced motors, highly efficient magnetic induction machines, stabilized gravity field generators, ultra-resilient hydraulics, and, most critical of all, a new Luminous Crystal Battery.

This new battery, based on the High Luminous Compression Crystal, could store and compress energy with a storage capacity and efficiency that was countless times stronger than the previous carbon battery cells used to regulate the energy released by the Carbon Fusion Core (CFC). This was more than an efficiency increase; it was a physical liberation. Using this new, high-density battery, the size constraint on the Carbon Fusion Core also disappeared. Unlike before, the CFC could now be reliably scaled down to even a nano-meter scale, with the HLCC batteries providing an instantaneous energy buffer to handle any power fluctuations.

Unified Adaptive Lattice Composite (UALC)

Synthesis Base: Adaptive Unified Composite Alloy (AUCA) + Adaptive Lattice Alloy (ALA).

Core Structure: The foundational structure of the Adaptive Unified Composite Alloy (AUCA), known for its extreme impact resistance and bio-energy immunity, is structurally integrated with the mutable CE-03/DM-7 matrix of the Adaptive Lattice Alloy (ALA). This fusion creates a material that is structurally immune to external corruption and capable of instant physical adaptation.

Properties: Absolute Physical Resilience & Dynamic Adaptation. Combines AUCA's unparalleled resistance to impact and hostile bio-energy with ALA's instantaneous physical mimicry.

Unique Property: Hyper-Agnostic Adaptation (HAA); The composite maintains the AUCA's inherent immunity to corrosion and bio-energy fields while actively absorbing and mimicking the physical properties of its environment (ALA's Active Environmental Mimicry). This results in a material that is universally immune to biological and chemical degradation, yet can instantly adjust its density, hardness, and thermal state to physical threats.

Application: Optimal Tier 4 material for Bio Exoshell construction, high-stress armor plating, and critical internal structures requiring both bio-immunity and maximum physical durability.

Comment on changes from previous panel: This material is designed to replace the previous UACA/ACA structural shells, providing a structural solution that is impervious to physical trauma and hostile biological agents, with the added benefit of instantaneous physical environment adaptation.

Keon glanced over the details of these materialized blueprints and nodded thoughtfully. His Nano Main Frames were going to undergo an enormous enhancement and optimization. He had always understood that in order to upgrade a technological civilization to the next Tier, one must simultaneously improve three main fields: the materials, the energy infrastructure, and finally, the processing power.

‘I have now improved all these,’ he calculated with absolute certainty. The Adaptive Lattice Alloy and Dark Metal 7 replacements had elevated his structural integrity; the Luminous Crystal Battery and Thermo-Regulating Fluid had solved his energy limitations and heat management; and the Photon Carbon Crystal had shattered his processing ceiling.

‘I hope after this upgrade my nano main frame will reach Tier 4 level,’ Keon mused, the internal anticipation a rare flicker of emotion in his logical core. ‘It will definitely increase my chance of survival in the next Phase 6.’
