Chapter 142: It's just Abaddon, I'll catch him for you!
An immense plaza beneath the colossal statues of the Chaos Gods.
The statues of the Chaos Gods towered into the clouds, their heads slightly bowed as if surveying the world below.
Under the 'gaze' of the Chaos Gods, the Red Corsairs looked at the 'enemies' who had directly teleported into the field, truly unsure whether they should open fire.
After all, they looked up at the Chaos Gods, then at the Thousand Sons of Tzeentch, the World Eaters of Khorne, the Death Guard of Nurgle, and the Emperor's Children of Slaanesh in front of them. If it weren't for the even more Legion of the Damneds and the Ork Warboss standing nearby, the pirates would have almost mistaken them for allies.
Only Huron stared blankly at the 'little tail' in front of him, confirming that during his time of not going out much, the galaxy had actually gone mad to this extent. Only then did he slowly raise his head and focus his attention on Sith.
Huron was quite discerning; with just a glance, he knew the level of divine artifacts that Sith's armor and the demonic sword at his waist were.
And through these two divine artifacts, he confirmed Sith's well-deserved leadership.
Then, Huron, who prioritized pragmatism, surprisingly didn't open fire immediately. Instead, he subconsciously wanted to negotiate first. But while the pirates hesitated, Sith and his army of Chaos Daemons had no such qualms.
Not to mention that the Red Corsairs in front of them were a neutral faction; even if they were truly subordinates of a certain Chaos God, as long as it allowed Sith to accelerate the cultivation of SSRs, the Chaos Gods would be happy to watch their subordinates fight their own kind with Sith.
So, facing an ally, at least in name, Huron hadn't even opened his mouth when Sith gave him a Bolter fire.
And the huge roar was like a signal, prompting the Daemon Forces behind him, who had already begun to enjoy the exaggerated growth gained by following Sith, to rush forward and pledge their loyalty to Sith!
Countless Bolter fire streaked across the sky, and the pirates who were still hesitating were instantly stunned.
Huron's words were blocked by Sith's Bolter fire, and he quickly dodged to the side, looking at the large area of plasteel buildings ruined by Sith's Bolter fire where he had just been. Thinking about how it had almost hit him, Huron, whose face usually maintained a confident, sneering expression, subconsciously swallowed hard.
Then, just as he was about to call Abaddon to deal with this strange team, he looked around and found that Abaddon had actually run faster than him and was now honestly hiding behind him.
Huron: "???"
"Is this Warmaster really that cowardly now?!"
Huron stared speechlessly at Abaddon hiding behind him, then ignored him and looked up, preparing to command his subordinates to meet the enemy.
But just as he finally refocused his attention on the front, the next scene made Huron freeze in place.
After all, anyone watching the blessings they had obtained with countless sacrifices now continuously empowering the Daemon Forces under Sith from the statues of the Chaos Gods, even if they didn't care much about 'loyalty,' Huron still felt a powerless rage, as if he had been cuckolded.
Huron could only watch helplessly as the blessings were obtained right in front of him, unable to do anything else!
Then he watched as Sith led his Daemon Forces, pinning down the continuously arriving pirates and beating them to the ground!
Huron watched a Khorne Berzerker, glowing red all over, wielding twin axes, charging through the concentrated Bolter fire of a dozen Astartes, and then splitting them one by one with his axe.
Huron's eyes were wide, filled with bloodshot veins from the immense loss:
"That blessing that blocked the Bolter fire, I even exchanged skulls for it myself!"
Watching Sith lead his subordinates, using his own blessings to cut down his own people, Huron finally couldn't help but stand up in a rage.
The stunned pirates around him saw this and their morale greatly boosted, about to cheer in unison. But as Huron's tall figure stood up, Sith, who was at the front harvesting traitors and souls for the God-Emperor and Khorne, immediately looked over.
Then he raised the Khorne Demonic Sword and pointed it directly at Huron.
"Squat down!"
"Eh, alrighty~"
Huron nodded obediently and squatted back down. After all, seeing the golden and red divine light on Sith, who was being replenished with souls, Astartes souls at that, Huron only regretted why he had to stand up just now.
But Huron thought squatting down would be fine, only to see Sith chop down an inattentive pirate with a sword, then stride towards him.
Huron was stunned, then, with even more regret in his heart, he stood up, wanting to cry but having no tears.
"These... my lord, there might be some misunderstanding..."
Huron raised his hand to explain, but Sith ignored him and directly raised his Bolter.
Huron's face grew even more bitter, he could only grit his teeth and stand up, counterattacking Sith first.
And seeing Huron stand up again, Sith's expression froze, then showed clear impatience, and he lowered his Bolter slightly.
Both sides' Bolters erupted simultaneously, but Huron dodged Sith's incoming Bolter fire by rolling and crawling.
Sith, however, covered in divine light, met it head-on without dodging.
After the exchange of fire, Huron looked at the 'unreasonable' craters he had dodged by rolling and crawling, and then at Sith, whom he couldn't even scratch with a full clip. Besides regretting his earlier bravado, Huron also resented Abaddon for bringing him this 'little tail'.
And thinking of Abaddon, and seeing Sith still approaching, a thought suddenly struck Huron's terrified eyes.
Huron glanced at Sith seriously again, seeing that Sith didn't even spare him a glance, only looking behind him. Huron finally widened his eyes and suddenly turned his head to look behind him.
There, Abaddon was honestly squatting behind Huron...
"So all this time..."
"I was taking this beating for you?!"
Huron's face instantly turned liver-colored with anger.
Especially seeing the Daemon Forces behind Sith, using the blessings he had begged for, rampaging through his pirates.
Huron finally fully realized that Abaddon was hiding from Sith's pursuit, letting his own people be cannon fodder for him!
What? You care about your people, don't I care about mine?!
The more Huron thought, the angrier he got. And when a shadow appeared in front of him, Huron quickly looked up and saw Sith about to reach him.
With almost no hesitation, Huron raised his hands in surrender.
Seeing Huron surrender, Sith finally paused slightly, and Huron, with a face full of 'righteous indignation' and 'unshirkable responsibility,' spoke to Sith:
"It's just Abaddon, isn't it? You rest, old man, I'll go catch him for you!"
Sith looked at Huron saying this. Although his attitude was a bit too fake, the intention to catch Abaddon was sincere.
However, just as Sith was about to tell Huron to move aside so he could personally continue to beat Abaddon, Huron moved, and Abaddon, who had been squatting for a long time, actually stood up again.
And facing Sith, who was about to catch him, Abaddon's face showed only mockery.
Then, a Warp sorcery not belonging to the Chaos Gods enveloped Abaddon!
Abaddon vanished from Sith's sight, and at the same time, there was a loud clamor of exclamations from the team behind him, and the entire surface of the daemon world was covered by shadows.
Looking up, Vashtorr's colossal and grotesque Ark of Omen, leading his and Abaddon's massive combined fleet, continuously appeared in orbit like a rainstorm, accompanied by dense Warp flashes.
