Chapter 264: The Spider-Men Who Bring Disaster, T'Challa's Choice...
Ryan frowned as he looked at the dozen or so newly appeared Spider-Men.
Spider-Men from the Spider-Society?
No, that's not right. Currently, all available Spider-Men from the Spider-Society have been taken by Miguel to various Universes to help resurrect the Spider-Men who died at the hands of the Inheritor Family.
Other members are either maintaining the normal operations of the Spider-Society or guarding their respective Universes.
They shouldn't be able to spare so many Spider-Men to wander around right now.
And...
Ryan's gaze narrowed slightly as he looked at the dimension-crossing bracelets on their wrists, which were completely different from the ones made by Spider-Man 2099.
So... it's another new Spider-Man faction capable of traveling across the Multiverse.
"T'Challa, don't worry. I'll handle this."
Ryan curled his lips into a smile, patted T'Challa on the shoulder with a word of comfort, and slowly walked toward the new Spider-Men.
With every step he took, the hearts of the Spider-Army's Spider-Men trembled violently; it was as if their Spider-Sense had encountered a Spider King, constantly sending emotions of awe and fear toward Ryan!
This was a feeling they had never experienced before!
However, the oldest among them, a Middle-aged Parker, had eyes that lit up as if he had thought of something, becoming quite excited.
Unlike the other Spider-Men who subconsciously backed away under Ryan's pressure, he actually wanted to move toward Ryan.
Naturally, he was forced back by the Vibranium spears of the bald women of the Dora Milaje.
After all, they were still suspects in causing Wakanda's current state!
When Ryan reached them, he raised his hand and waved.
Standing behind Ryan, T'Challa gave the Dora Milaje a look. They immediately retracted their spears and stood tall and straight again like statues, spears held upright.
It had to be said that although it seemed foolish for Wakanda to use spears despite having technology far exceeding the rest of the World, the combat discipline of the Wakandan warriors was truly high.
Ryan walked up to the Middle-aged Parker, the only one who hadn't retreated, and said calmly, "Speak. What's going on with Wakanda?"
Middle-aged Parker looked at the surrounding group of seemingly very powerful Superheroes, especially Ryan, and finally breathed a long sigh of relief, explaining:
"I just told them that Otto Parker reversed the Dome Energy Shield over their capital to trap the entire city. It wasn't for an invasion, but for protection—to protect more people in this World!"
"You have to believe us!"
Hearing this, Ryan sighed silently in his heart.
Why do these people in American comics always like to be so vague when explaining things...
He was asking for the cause, not the result!
No wonder the Wakandans detained them. If it were him dealing with such a riddler, he'd detain them first too!
"Forget it, I'll see for myself..."
Ryan shook his head and, with a speed that the Middle-aged Parker couldn't possibly react to, grabbed the crown of his head. Bright yellow mental energy poured from his palm into the Middle-aged Parker's skull.
Middle-aged Parker's eyes immediately rolled back as he fell into an unconscious state.
This startled the other Spider-Men of the Spider-Army, and they subconsciously rushed toward Ryan, wanting to save their Middle-aged Parker companion.
But Ryan didn't even budge, continuing to close his eyes and read Middle-aged Parker's memories. Before the Spider-Men could get close, dozens of Symbiote tentacles shot out from his back, binding them all and lifting them into the air.
For the now multi-evolved Riot, even without Ryan's deliberate control, the power it could unleash far exceeded that of an ordinary Spider-Man. Thus, these Spider-Men couldn't break free at all!
In just a few seconds, Ryan finished reading Middle-aged Parker's memories, and his expression couldn't help but turn a bit strange.
In other words, Otto Parker led the Spider-Army to track him and then accidentally stumbled into the Zombie Universe, which led to Wakanda being innocently caught in the crossfire?
And... the Zombie Universe was actually right next to his own Universe?
Interesting, but also very dangerous...
With a flick of his hand, Ryan threw Middle-aged Parker heavily onto the ground.
At the same time, the dozen or so Symbiote tentacles on his back also slammed the struggling Spider-Men hard onto the ground.
The force was so great that cracks appeared in the ground. Even as Spider-Men, they couldn't get up immediately!
Ryan looked down at the groaning Spider-Men on the ground and said indifferently:
"This is a minor punishment for bringing danger to our Universe. Now, bring them onto the ship. We're leaving for Wakanda!"
After speaking, Ryan took the lead and walked toward the largest and most luxurious ship.
As for the real reason Ryan struck so hard, it naturally wasn't the punishment he claimed, but rather to obtain their power.
But Ryan couldn't make it that obvious.
The secret that he could absorb the power of other Spider-Men was his greatest trump card, and he never had any intention of making it public.
Seeing Ryan give the order, the Superheroes present, despite having just gone through a major battle, immediately followed Ryan's lead and boarded the ship.
This made T'Challa feel joyful. He said excitedly to the Dora Milaje General 'Okoye' beside him:
"Okoye, the strongest Spider Monarch of our Spider Family has agreed to help. The crisis in Wakanda will definitely be resolved!"
Hearing this, Okoye glanced sideways at T'Challa and said calmly, "Your Highness, His Majesty the King only sent you to New York to study and establish good relations with the Spider Family. But now it seems you've become a bit too close to them..."
T'Challa's excited expression froze at Okoye's words, as he naturally understood her underlying meaning.
Wasn't she reminding him that he was the heir to the throne of Wakanda? He could be friendly with a faction, but he couldn't truly become one of them.
However, during his time with the Spider Family, T'Challa had come to love the relaxed atmosphere where everyone was like family.
So, while T'Challa understood, he had his own interpretation. He said slowly to Okoye:
"Okoye, Wakanda has revealed its true face to the World this time. Wakanda is bound to face countless troubles ahead..."
"Instead of endless negotiations with various countries over Vibranium later, it's better to find a backer for Wakanda now..."
"More friends mean more paths; more family means more protection. This is the path I've chosen for Wakanda's future, and I believe the path I've chosen must be the right one!"
After speaking, T'Challa straightened his back and followed the Spider Family into the ship without hesitation, proving with his actions that he would not betray his choice!
Okoye watched T'Challa's back, a gratified smile appearing on her lips as she whispered:
"Your Majesty, you were right. Prince T'Challa has truly grown. His thinking is more suited to leading Wakanda through this new era of 'monsters'..."
