I Have a God Simulator

The stick-figure being, Cancong, walked along the wall, still with that widely-known pendulum gait from the video, its arms looking as if they hadn’t been assembled correctly. It followed Luh Yao all the way to the computer desk in his bedroom.

BGM started playing in Luh Yao’s head.

Two tigers love to dance~ Hey, good little bunny, pull up the carrots~ Yay

He forcibly shut off the BGM and looked at the stick figure on his desk.

Cancong’s head swiveled from side to side. "Your Sail location looks quite unique. It’s not large, but it’s very suitable for a Pioneer who needs to concentrate."

’Sail location?’

Luh Yao figured it must refer to the place where he operated the simulator.

He asked casually, "Are other Sail locations large?"

’Luh Yao guessed that the places where Songx Shiyi operated her simulator, whether at the Committee or at home, were probably not small. She was a former girl-group member and also a prosecutor for the Committee. Financially, she must be much better off than a junior-level worker like him.’

"Not all of them are large."

Cancong said, "Yours is considered medium-sized. Small ones can be a Jade Jue, a Cyan Porcelain Pillow, or a cave. Large ones can be a palace-like tomb chamber or a vast range of rolling mountains."

’A porcelain pillow?’ A familiar idiom flashed through Luh Yao’s mind.

"Yes."

Cancong continued, "Although the detailed memories have been erased—the time, place, and people are gone—the general description remains. There was one Pioneer whose Sail location was a Cyan Porcelain Pillow. Whenever he wanted to Sail, he would rest his head on the pillow and enter the Divine Kingdom within the World-Dimension Space."

Luh Yao was stunned.

’It really was the "Dream of the Yellow Millet."’

He immediately pressed, "The one who rested his head on the porcelain pillow, was it a man named Lusheng? After falling asleep, did he dream that he entered the pillow, enjoyed fame and fortune in the world inside, and then woke up to find it was all a dream?"

Cancong replied, "Apologies, the location, time, people, and so on have been erased. But based on the scene you’ve described, the Cyan Porcelain Pillow was very likely the Sail location."

"It’s quite normal to descend in dimension into a Divine Kingdom and receive a World Dimension experience bestowed by a Pioneer."

Luh Yao calmed down a little.

’The Pioneer wasn’t Lusheng. It was the man who gave Lusheng the porcelain pillow, a person named Lü Weng.’

’In other words, Lü Weng saw that Lusheng was dejected, so he sent him down a dimension into the Divine Kingdom and gave him a new life experience.’

’Having previously sent plants and insects through the Divine Hall, Luh Yao was now fairly certain that humans themselves could also descend in dimension into a Low Realm Diimensional World.’

’It’s just that if they did, like Isabel and the other Apostles, they would be affected by Rule Power. If they stayed in a Low Realm Dimension for too long, they would be completely assimilated into low-realm-dimension life forms, just like the Fighting Shovel Armor and the Papilionidae.’

’Lusheng only took a short nap, but in it, he experienced another lifetime of glory and decline. This was partly due to the different flow of time between High and Low Realm Dimensions, and partly because Lü Weng was manipulating the Divine Kingdom.’

Luh Yao’s curiosity was piqued, and he continued to ask the stick figure, "So what’s the deal with the cave Sail locations?"

"Caves are one of the most ancient types of Sail locations."

Cancong explained, "The earliest Pioneers Sailed on the stone walls of caves."

’Cave stone walls?’

A thought popped into Luh Yao’s head. "Cave paintings?"

"In terms of appearance, yes."

Cancong added, "But those are Sail locations, not crude and clumsy paintings. After the early Pioneers obtained the status of a God, they could see the Divine Kingdom on the stone walls."

"And the murals they painted were records and descriptions of their Divine Kingdoms."

"The various species and Clans sent by the Pioneers would constantly manifest on the stone walls. But those without a Divine Format could only see simple drawings, whereas Divine Beings could see the vast and enormous population of the Divine Kingdom."

Luh Yao’s heart began to pound.

’If what Cancong said was true—and it was very likely that it wasn’t Lying...’

’...then some prehistoric murals were actually relics left behind by Pioneers. These murals weren’t just primitive imitations of nature or tentative artistic creations, but depictions of the creatures and Extraordinary Beings that once existed in the Pioneers’ Divine Kingdoms.’

’Cancong itself was proof.’

’It, too, existed on a flat plane in the form of lines, similar to a two-dimensional creature.’

Luh Yao couldn’t help but ask another question, "Why can’t the creatures in the murals move around like you?"

"Because the Pioneers fell, their Divine Kingdoms were sealed, and the passages were completely locked. The interference and overlap between different worlds thus disappeared."

Cancong said, "My situation is different. I come from Dragon Residence, a World Dimension higher than this one. But in order to exist in a stable, long-term manner, I underwent multiple dimensional descents to minimize degradation and enhance my survivability."

’Luh Yao had a strong feeling that Cancong wasn’t a naturally born creature, but more like... a highly autonomous, living tool.’

’It seemed completely unconcerned with gains or losses in its speech. After choosing him as its collaborator, it held almost nothing back.’

Luh Yao gathered his thoughts. "What kind of place is Dragon Residence?"

"Dragon Residence is a world dominated by the civilization of the Dragon Race."

"Just as humans dominate this world, the main inhabitants there are the Dragon Race, though their History long predates humanity’s. Because it is located deep within a High Realm Dimension, Dragon Residence is also a nearly static world. So the Dragon Race created many external passages that pass through numerous worlds. That is why, regardless of being in a High or Low Realm Dimension, many worlds have records of Dragons."

Cancong said, "Dragon Residence is also where I was born."

"The details were erased by a Cancong from many generations ago. Now, only a simple overview remains."

’Luh Yao felt a pang of regret.’

Cancong stated, "After Dragon Residence came into contact with the human world, the Pioneers from both sides reached an agreement to open a passage between the two worlds."

"The passage between the two worlds is supported by the Mythical Miracle anchored in this world: the Nine-Grain Pillar."

"When the Nine-Grain Pillar was functioning normally, members of the Dragon Race from Dragon Residence would also enter this world. Of course, they were all Divine Beings; otherwise, they wouldn’t have permission to cross the passage. This is why ordinary life-forms cannot look directly at the Dragon Race, and why they appear in different forms to different observers."

"I am one of the Three Pillar Thickets. Together with my two companions, Baihu and Yu Fu, I guarded the Nine-Grain Pillar."

"The Nine-Grain Pillar itself has nine branches, with each branch connecting to a world. In total, there are nine pillars."

"This place is also the junction of nine worlds."

’Luh Yao remembered that there were three small figures beneath the Shang Bronze Divine Tree. It seemed they were the Three Pillar Thickets.’

’The three ancient kings of the Ancient Shu Kingdom were closely related to the Three Pillar Thickets. However, how the Kings of Shu further cooperated with them, and whether the kings themselves were Pioneers, is now unknown.’

"Later, after a World Dimension overlap, some accident occurred in Dragon Residence, and it was completely disconnected from the Nine-Grain Pillar. There was a massive explosion on the Pillar. Baihu and Yu Fu were annihilated on the spot, leaving only me."

"After the Era changed, I was bound by Rule Power within the world’s border, leaving me unable to move for many years. Not long ago, another World Dimension overlap occurred, causing a change in the Rule Power, and I slowly regained my activity."

’Luh Yao realized that the source must have been the overlap between Wasteland No. 7 (the Spirit Realm) and Earth, which had released the sealed Cancong.’

He then asked, "The Nine-Grain Pillar you’re looking for should be very conspicuous. If it’s been excavated, it would likely be in a museum or a special collection somewhere."

"Ordinary people cannot touch the Nine-Grain Pillar."

Cancong shook its head. "Only Divine Beings can recognize the Nine-Grain Pillar."

"Otherwise, it’s just a strange piece of graffiti."

Luh Yao understood.

’So the Nine-Grain Pillar, just like Cancong, also existed in a nearly two-dimensional state of flat lines.’
