I Have a God Simulator

Luh Yao tried out the abilities on the tree one by one.

He first clicked on the "(Unnamed Fragment World)" text after [Anchor World].

The screen immediately jumped to the sky of the Pixel World, shifting to a high-angle view overlooking the continent and oceans.

'Just as I thought. "Unnamed" refers to the initial Pixel World, which is now part of the worlds on the tree.'

He then selected [Anchor World] again.

The simulator displayed a message.

[Found anchorable worlds: Bos God Realm / Wuzi Kingdom]

Luh Yao selected the Bos God Realm.

[Do you wish to connect this world to the Silvanus Tree?]

[Estimated cost: 109,421 Faith]

[Yes][No]

These two worlds met the conditions for the anchoring operation, as they overlapped with the Yao Race World, which was a world on the tree.

Luh Yao's Faith Reserve was currently abundant, so he didn't mind the expense. However, just like buying an investment property, you had to compare your options—at the very least, he needed to see the model home first.

Besides, these two worlds were in the middle of a Divine War. Their internal environments were harsh, and under normal circumstances, it really wasn't a good time to buy in.

On the Silvanus Tree, there was a white orb of light that displayed [Unnamed Fragment World]. Above that entry was another option: [Rule Repair].

Luh Yao double-clicked on "Repair."

The entire Yao Race World unfolded in a different form.

The Pixel World was crisscrossed with golden lines, like latitude and longitude. Some were dotted lines, some were solid, and many local areas had broken lines.

Luh Yao tried selecting a solid line.

The line displayed [Climate Rules], which branched out into dense sub-entries below: [Clear Skies], [Cloudy & Rainy], [Low Temperature], [High Temperature], [Dry], [Humid]...

Under each entry were many secondary phrases.

For example, "Cloudy & Rainy" was associated with [Low Temperature], [Lack of Sunshine], and [Number of Days], among others. What seemed like a simple rainy spell was backed by numerous interconnected rules and could trigger many chain reactions.

These cross-triggered entries were all interrelated, yet also restrained one another, forming a complex and tightly-knit whole.

Luh Yao gave it a try and found that he could edit the various descriptions, and even directly delete certain phenomena or species.

However, this would consume a large amount of Faith Value. The higher the tier of the entry, the higher the cost to modify it.

For instance, to modify the mechanics of a secondary phrase like [Lack of Sunshine] under climate rules, it would cost a minimum of 20,000 Fire of Faith. As the number of linked entries increased, the actual expense would be even greater.

As for the primary entry [Cloudy & Rainy], completely deleting it would require burning 400,000 Fire of Faith.

In the end, Luh Yao didn't touch a thing.

Setting aside the issue of cost versus benefit, these rules were so interconnected that a single change could affect the entire system. Just a tiny alteration could cause massive turmoil throughout the world, and it was hard to tell if the result would be for the better or worse.

After looking through everything, Luh Yao felt a bit dizzy.

'If a God wants to reshape a world from the inside out, the workload of editing the rules is no small matter.'

Luh Yao then clicked on the dotted lines and found that these were rules that were either incomplete or still evolving.

He was very interested in one particular entry inside: [Evolution].

Within the dense, tree-like diagram of subsets under "Evolution," Luh Yao immediately spotted [Black Water Mite] near the top.

The Black Water Mite had given rise to seven new mutant subspecies, one of which made Luh Yao take a second look.

Luh Yao scratched his head as he read.

'In such a short time, the Black Water Mite has actually become a local economic species.'

He pulled his thoughts back.

The crisscrossing solid and dotted lines were a visual representation of the world's rules, and also an encyclopedia describing the world.

In the Yao Race World, every entry was constantly evolving with new content. Every species, every human, every piece of land was continuously writing its own story of change.

The many broken parts, on the other hand, were the torn rules of this Fragment World. Dotted lines were slowly appearing around the gaps, but mending them would take a considerable amount of time.

Fortunately, Luh Yao didn't have to do all this tedious and detailed work himself.

The gaps all showed a [Being repaired by Clockwork Monkey] marker. The monkeys were the most diligent backend programmers of the world.

Luh Yao right-clicked to exit, returning to the Golden Field scene.

The next step, [Creation Passage], was grayed out.

Currently, the Silvanus Tree only contained the Yao Race World; it lacked a target to link the passage to.

Luh Yao looked at the second-to-last ability, [Tree of Creation].

With a click of his mouse, a blank diagram spread across the screen.

At the starting point on the far left of the diagram, two boxes slowly materialized, each containing a target symbol.

According to the Tree of Creation's description, at least one creature and one Fire Seed Artifact were required to begin creation.

Luh Yao pulled open his Artifact Bar.

He had plenty of Fire Seed Artifacts at the moment, so picking one for an experiment was not a problem.

He selected the [Tyrant Whale Tailbone] he had gotten from the Snowman and placed it into one of the boxes.

Then, Luh Yao returned to the Yao Race World, found a Fighting Shovel Armor so old it could barely move, and aimed the target at it. The Fighting Shovel Armor instantly vanished from its spot and appeared in the box on the tree.

With the [Fighting Shovel Armor] and the [Tyrant Whale Tailbone] placed, a black line connected the two boxes, and the boxes themselves began to emit a faint white glow.

A prompt appeared on the screen.

[Do you wish to begin the fusion?]

Luh Yao clicked yes.

As a white light flared, the Fighting Shovel Armor and the Tyrant Whale Tailbone merged into one. The black line connecting the two boxes extended further and coalesced into a third box.

Inside was a new species.

Its body was more slender than the Fighting Shovel Armor. It had a light blue carapace, triangular bones on its back that resembled fins, and a long stinger behind it like a scorpion's tail, but it retained the pincer-like mandibles.

Luh Yao named the new species [Water Shovel Armor].

It could live in water. The long stinger on its tail was its breathing tube, which could extend above the water's surface to breathe.

What excited Luh Yao the most was that the Tree of Creation allowed him to select one or two abilities to bestow upon the new species.

The abilities available for the [Water Shovel Armor] were divided into positive and negative categories.

The positive abilities included: [Rapid Reproduction], [Wisdom], [Disguise], [Poisoned], and [Submerge].

The negative abilities included: [Timid], [Fear of Battle], [Gluttony], and [Madness].

Luh Yao endowed the [Water Shovel Armor] with [Submerge] to help it live better in the water. After all, the waterside was the territory of the Fish People and Cannibal Crabs, both of whom were tough, established characters. It wouldn't be easy to eke out a living there.

After the creation was complete, the [Water Shovel Armor] species now had a formal, complete description and panel.

The simulator displayed another message.

[Please select a world to release this species into.]

Luh Yao only had one option.

A moment later.

[Water Shovel Armor successfully integrated into the world.]

Luh Yao breathed a sigh of relief.

'With the Golden Field as a Main God Space editor, creating and modifying creatures is so much more convenient and intuitive than fumbling through it from scratch like before. Plus, I can even cultivate them with specific goals in mind.'

Finally, it was time for the main event.

Luh Yao clicked [Sail].

Instantly, a brilliant Star Map appeared in the simulator. Amidst the darkness filled with twinkling stars, a small green rectangle floated in the center of the screen.

It displayed [Unnamed Fragment World], which was the current Yao Race World.

'No wonder the Forest God called his successors [Pioneers].'

Luh Yao right-clicked and selected an upward direction. The rectangular world seemed to face forward, but it wouldn't budge.

Looking closer, he noticed that the Pixel World was being blocked by a small, U-shaped world.

This U-shaped world was not only blocking the Yao Race World but was also stuck to another small, triangular world. It was like a bicycle lock wrapped around a wheel, jamming all three of them in place.

Luh Yao tried a flurry of frantic maneuvers, attempting to break the Pixel World free. But no matter how he moved it—left, right, forward, backward—it simply couldn't get loose.

Stalling out on the very first day of the journey dampened his previously good mood.

'What a crappy road.'

Luh Yao activated [True Sight Curse] and scanned the U-shaped lock and the triangular world.

'So it's this [Bos God]. The Divine War isn't over yet, and he's still attacking that newly ascended God.'

'I get it.'

'This isn't some accidental stall. Bos God is intentionally cutting me off.'

Luh Yao cracked his knuckles.

'Alright then.'

'Since you won't let me pass, I might as well join the party.'
