I Have a God Simulator

Chapter 200 - 195: The Advent of the Alien

On the West Beach of the Southern New Continent.

Behind a cluster of jagged rocks, Nong Chan made a shushing gesture, his eyes fixed ahead.

The sea churned, pushing swathes of white foam and a clutch of eggs onto the beach. Each egg was the size of a grown man’s fist, snow-white, oval, and smooth.

Nong Chan kneaded a piece of dough in his hand, mixing in some powder from his backpack. He then divided it into small balls and wrapped each one in a thin layer of meat.

Meanwhile, Tie Sai was sketching rapidly on a piece of paper attached to a wooden board, his charcoal pencil moving with speed and stability.

In addition to drawing the eggs, he also sketched their guardians nearby.

They resembled Cannibal Crabs in shape—four-legged, eyeless, and pitch-black, like oversized spiders.

The monster’s most striking feature was a mouth filled with sharp teeth. They were perpetually ravenous, hunting any living thing they encountered: fish, turtles, birds, trees... they even ate the sand on the ground.

Tie Sai had a deep impression of this monster.

They possessed little Wisdom and were nothing like Cannibal Crabs in that regard. But in terms of destructiveness, they far surpassed any known Extraordinary Creatures.

To a Four-Legged Monster, all living things were food.

They had two methods of attack. The first was to leap and embrace their prey, piercing its body with their sharp limbs before gnawing at it madly.

The second was to spit out an arrow-like tongue. Their tongues were like thin iron chains with a barbed tip, capable of easily piercing flesh and bone to pulverize a victim’s internal organs.

The most troublesome part was that they were difficult to kill and had a high reproduction rate, causing their numbers to surge.

Just then, the eggs on the beach began to hatch.

Small Four-Legged Monsters crawled out one by one. They immediately began to devour their eggshells, swallowing every last piece. After eating some sand for supplement, they headed toward the forest ahead.

A large section of the forest on the west coast had already been devoured by them. They hadn’t even spared the grass or tree stumps, leaving the ground a swath of grayish-brown.

Farther away, Adventurers and Elves were fighting together to resist the Four-Legged Monsters’ invasion.

Nong Chan captured two eggs and sealed them in a wax-lined wooden box. He mouthed the word: "Go."

The two of them quietly retreated.

But when they turned around, they suddenly saw a small Four-Legged Monster right behind them. It opened its mouth, and its tongue slowly extended. The forked, scissor-like barbs at its tip crossed slowly.

The little monster seemed unsure if it could hunt the two enormous prey before it, appearing somewhat hesitant.

Nong Chan tossed it a small ball of dough.

The Four-Legged Monster immediately seized the food and began to devour it frantically.

The two seized the opportunity to retreat quickly.

But more Four-Legged Monsters came running from behind, swarming toward them like a tide.

The pair could only run while taking the hits on the Copper Shields on their backs. With a rapid series of THUDS, the Four-Legged Monsters’ iron tongues punched holes in the shields, and the wooden boards beneath were shattered to pieces.

Just as Nong Chan and Tie Sai were beginning to despair, two beams of white light suddenly shot down from the sky, striking them both.

In an instant, they felt their bodies surge with power, as if they could kill a Fire Wild Ox with a single punch!

Isabel sat on her Magic Staff, looking down at the Four-Legged Monsters on the ground.

A large flock of White Mountain Sparrows dove down from the clouds. These incredibly fast Hunters began to slaughter their prey.

The Four-Legged Monsters continuously shot out their tongues but couldn’t keep up with the low-flying White Mountain Sparrows. After a large number of their kind were pecked to death, they scattered like a receding tide.

"Go to Jody’s. It’s safer there. I’ll clean up the surrounding area."

Isabel instructed before riding her Magic Staff toward the Four-Legged Monsters’ main camp.

Nong Chan and Tie Sai looked at each other, both breaking into smiles of relief after surviving the ordeal.

"We’re saved. May Yao God protect us."

But the risk had been worth it.

Nong Chan had obtained a precious ingredient: fresh Black Water Mite eggs. The freshness of ingredients had a huge impact on the final dish!

Tie Sai had made live sketches of the Black Water Mites’ Hatching process, gaining a clearer understanding of their physiological structure and Traits. This would allow him to show this terrifying monster to more people through his art.

...

「On the Eastern Continent, in the Divine Valley.」

"This is bad! This is terrible, Lord Apostle!"

The Little Fishman Yu Gu leaped off the back of a Sand Worm and came running in a panic. "Those crawling Black Water Mites, they’re fighting the Fighting Shovel Armors!"

Pinkman held a ceramic watering can, leisurely watering a wild rose.

He asked nonchalantly, "And then?"

"The Fighting Shovel Armors lost! There aren’t enough of them, and they’re too stupid."

"But then the Monster Strength Grass took action! They strangled and suffocated the Black Water Mites one by one underground, turning them into fertilizer..."

The Little Fishman scratched his head. "The Pine Slipper Rats from Canopy City are holding steady, though. The poisonous red pines they planted form a natural barrier. Some of the Four-Legged Monsters that charged in quickly fainted and died in there."

"It’s just that there are so many of them. If this goes on, they might become a threat to the valley."

Pinkman just nodded. He stroked a rose leaf, a smile even gracing his lips. "Don’t worry. Nature will provide an answer. The forest will teach them their place."

"By the way, didn’t you say earlier that the Cannibal Crabs were hunting the Black Water Mites outside the valley?"

"Yes! Lord."

The Little Fishman said excitedly, "It’s really lively out there! The Cannibal Crabs have blockaded the sea, and the Mad Flame Birds and Blazing Chickens are also hunting these monsters everywhere. They may look ferocious, but I hear they’re quite tasty. Especially after being deep-fried and dipped in a bit of salt and Sour Tree Raspberries jam..."

He couldn’t help but swallow.

"And who told you that?" Pinkman couldn’t help but laugh.

"The Gourmet, Mr. Nong Chan! He was the first to try cooking Fried Black Water Strider. It’s a very High Level dish in Saniluo. Humans and many Extraordinary Life forms love it!"

The Rose King was left speechless.

’There are quite a few Extraordinary Creatures in this world now. The Black Water Mites will need an adjustment period to gain a foothold.’

The Little Fishman suddenly said, "Oh! I almost forgot the most important thing! The new Rose Garden you established in the south... it was destroyed by the Black Water Mites! That’s what I came to tell you..."

The watering can in Pinkman’s hand was crushed by his fingers, and the smile on his face slowly faded.

"Guard."

"Here, Lord!" The White Rose Envoy standing beside him straightened up.

"March with me. We will annihilate the invading enemy." Pinkman raised his hand, and a thin, pink sword materialized within it.

All warmth was gone from his eyes, replaced by cold, murderous intent.

The Little Fishman beside him couldn’t help but shiver.

...

「In the north, within the Ice and Snow World.」

A black Dragon circled high in the sky. It opened its mouth and spewed black Dragon Flame.

The Dragon Breath painted a long, black swath on the ground, Burning a field of Black Water Mites to ash. The surviving Black Water Mites, however, went into a Madness and began to kill each other.

Before long, the Giant Monster Elder led the Ice Giant Monsters over and began to collect spoils from the ground.

The Elder picked up a thin, long strip and gave it a gentle tug. Even after being burned by the Dragon Flame, the strip remained flexible and sharp.

He instructed, "The tongues of the Black Water Mites are high-quality materials. These are all property of the Dragon Nest. Don’t leave a single one behind."

The Giant Monsters, holding long tongs made of wood, picked up the remaining iron tongues from the ground and tossed them into the wooden boxes on their backs with practiced, nimble movements.

"And their legs, especially the tips of their feet. They’ll make the finest arrowheads and awls."

The Elder added.

By the sea, Snowmen with wicker baskets on their backs were picking up Monster Eggs one by one.

"Delicious eggs!"

"Tasty eggs!"

"Hatchable eggs!"

"Must not waste nature’s gift!"

The Dragon Nest contingent, led by the Snowmen and the Juvenile Dragon Pasha, swept across the beach in a great procession before slowly heading back.

Only after this group had departed did the humans who had been watching from the shadows rush onto the scene. They began to search for leftover materials among the ice and sand.

They didn’t have the guts to face the Black Water Mites head-on, but they did have the courage to report their location to the Dragon Nest.

Once the Dragon Nest had cleared out the monsters and had their fill, the nearby Adventurers could also get a taste.

This was the consensus people had reached after gradually learning to deal with the Dragon Nest.

’It’s just cooperation, a division of labor, that’s all.’

...

「At the same time, beneath a cliff in the north of the Western Continent.」

Three humans were trapped in a desperate situation.

They were surrounded on all sides by hundreds of swarming adult Black Water Mites, which had blocked off all their escape routes.

Among the three were two Martial Cultivators and one Ascetic. But facing such a massive number of enemies, their small group wouldn’t be able to hold out for long.

"We’re out of Anesthetic Juice."

One of the Martial Cultivators gave a bitter smile. "The Magic Potions are all gone. We can’t stop them anymore."

The other gripped his iron sword, his face full of unwillingness. "The Off-Road Rabbits and messenger pigeons were eaten by these beasts. Our last line of communication has been cut off... To think this place was a nest."

The Ascetic said nothing, merely offering a silent final prayer.

Just as the Four-Legged Monsters surged forward, a Fireball flew in from the distance, engulfing numerous monsters in flames.

The Fireball dissipated, revealing an old man in tattered clothes.

He looked at the swarming Black Water Mites, and a blazing fire erupted from his body, causing the surrounding temperature to rise sharply.

The old man’s mere presence made the Black Water Mites hesitate. They seemed to sense the extraordinary aura and power of the person before them, but after a moment, they charged forward on instinct.

Flames engulfed the area.

...

After the brutal battle, the ground was littered with charred insect corpses.

The old man, his face weary, said, "Let’s go. If we don’t leave now, the next wave will be here."

"Your hand," one of them said, unable to bear the sight.

The old man was already missing his left arm, and now he had lost his right hand in the life-or-death struggle. It was dripping with Blood.

The Ascetic, who had been silent all this time, suddenly realized something, his eyes widening. "You’re... Grand Elder Yan Jiu?"

The old man said softly, "I am merely a servant of Yao God, an ordinary Cultivator."
