I Have a God Simulator

The Eastern Continent had vast, flat grasslands. There were very few locals, as most of the pixel people had migrated to the Twin Cities on the Western Continent.

Now, it was more like a vast, dangerous hunting ground. Hunters and Adventurers would come here to hunt, capturing live antelopes, wild horses, and even wolves and lions. Quite a few people lost their lives here as well.

Due to the presence of the local Extraordinary Creature, the Blazing Chicken, the changing of Eras had little impact on the Eastern Continent.

Luh Yao designated his testing grounds on the Eastern Continent. Firstly, because it had a complete and stable ecosystem. Secondly, it was free from the influence of the pixel people. And thirdly, the area was large enough.

To introduce a brand-new species, a stable and balanced environment was necessary.

Otherwise, if a new species just entered and immediately ran into a swarm of Cannibal Crabs or a group of Sea Fishmen, the mortality rate would be very high.

Luh Yao fixed his view on the westernmost part of the Eastern Continent. There was an oval-shaped protrusion there that was just right.

He selected the Miracle, [Earthquake].

Amidst the great tremor, animals scattered in fright. The Blazing Chickens were also wise enough to retreat inland to avoid the natural disaster.

The continuous Earthquakes plowed across the surface of the Eastern Continent, carving out a deep trench that almost completely severed the oval area from the main continent. The land on both sides was pushed up, forming two brand-new mountain ranges and ridgelines.

Luh Yao then cast [Hurricane] over a large area, supplemented by [Lightning] and [Rainfall], to scare away the creatures in the surrounding area as much as possible and reduce unnecessary damage.

He used Miracles to repeatedly alter the landscape, separating the experimental zone from the Eastern Continent as much as possible.

The valley between the two landmasses grew deeper and deeper, and the mountain peaks climbed higher. Seawater flowed in from the sides, forming a wide, steep strait.

Next, Luh Yao focused his attention on the oval testing ground. He cast more Earthquakes along its periphery, squeezing the land to create high mountains that enclosed the central area into a large basin, preserving the local plains and a portion of the forest.

There were still some small animals in the basin, including monkeys and squirrels in the trees, voles in the ground, and some birds. They had remained for various reasons.

The entire terraforming project, with Luh Yao tinkering, erasing, and redrawing, consumed 283 casts of [Earthquake], 77 of [Hurricane], 12 of [Lightning], and 4 of [Rainfall].

The total cost came to a staggering 13,910 Faith.

If not for his substantial Faith Reserve, Luh Yao would not have dared to carry out such drastic regional modifications.

With the basic framework established, the next step was deployment.

Luh Yao opened the transparent plastic box on his desk.

Inside the box were three black beetles, pet insects he had bought online. They were a type of Chinese giant stag beetle, dark brown in color with flat bodies and well-developed mandibles that looked like a pair of serrated pincers, giving them a rather imposing appearance.

Although these beetles had aggressive personalities, they fed on tree sap and fruit and moved slowly. Luh Yao chose them because he wanted to increase the diversity of Extraordinary Creatures, and also because he had personally been fond of them as a child.

He dropped the first beetle into the Pixel World.

Beneath the black beetle icon, a progress bar slowly filled up.

Luh Yao dragged it to the experimental basin and released the mouse button to place it. The Shovel Armor immediately came to life, its sturdy body crawling around on the ground.

A new notification popped up in the simulator.

'As long as the introduced animal can survive in the wild for a period of time, the simulator will judge it as integrated into the world. In a way, it's faster than going through the hands of the pixel people, but also more uncontrollable.'

Luh Yao named it [Fighting Shovel Armor].

Then, he released the remaining two Shovel Armors into the experimental continent in batches.

This time there were no unexpected variants; they were all the same [Fighting Shovel Armor].

In the experimental basin, aside from the female Shovel Armor, the two male [Fighting Shovel Armor] started fighting the moment they met. Their antler-like mandibles locked and jabbed at each other.

Luh Yao knew the Shovel Armors were fighting for territory. The result was a stalemate; neither could harm the other, as they couldn't break through each other's defense. The scene of them wrestling was lively, but it was all wasted effort.

After a while, the two of them separated, as if they had just concluded a friendly martial arts spar.

Next came a period of peaceful development.

The Fighting Shovel Armors began to ravenously chew on tree leaves. Their Body Type grew to the size of a wild boar and then stopped changing. Their levels above their heads rose rapidly, and they all reached LV5, a threshold after which their rapid growth ceased.

Then, one male Fighting Shovel Armor set its sights on the outside world.

It beat its wings, left the basin, and flew across the strait. However, just as it landed on the opposite shore, it was attacked by a Blazing Chicken.

Many Extraordinary Creatures have a strong sense of territory.

Its physical defense couldn't withstand the mandatory health reduction from the searing flames. The Fighting Shovel Armor was burned by the Blazing Chicken's fire and forced into a full retreat, finally escaping back to the basin in the experimental zone.

The three Fighting Shovel Armors returned to their previously peaceful life. They devoured the forest leaves, doing nothing but eating and sleeping. Slowly, the second generation of small Shovel Armors was born.

The Fighting Shovel Armor clan slowly multiplied and grew.

Luh Yao began to introduce the next species.

He opened another box. Inside were six green chrysalises.

These were the chrysalises of the citrus swallowtail butterfly, which would hatch into butterflies.

Luh Yao carefully placed a chrysalis on his mouse.

Unlike the Shovel Armors, introducing the chrysalises had a more specific purpose.

Butterflies could spread pollen, which was beneficial for the growth and cross-pollination of various plants throughout the world. Furthermore, after being de-dimensionalized, they would become Extraordinary Creatures with lifespans and survival abilities far exceeding those of ordinary insects. In theory, they would have a positive effect on all the plants in the Pixel World.

The chrysalis's progress was fast.

Luh Yao placed it in a relatively safe mountain hollow, keeping an eye on the surroundings to prevent other animals from interfering with the Hatching process.

Before long, the chrysalis began its Feathered Transformation. A blue butterfly slowly unfurled its wings from within and took flight.

However, only four were successful this time; one failed.

The Malachite Butterfly had basically the same color and stats as the Green Swallowtail Butterfly, but its ability was different.

Taking on the role of a biological observer, Philles officially stationed himself in the Divine Basin of the Eastern Continent.

The Cactus Ball in the flowerpot shook the dirt off its body, wiped itself clean with a tissue, and then carefully made its way onto the God's broad back to begin its massage...

On this peaceful night, a brand-new, never-before-seen species was born in the basin of the experimental zone.

For a considerable time to come, it would stand at the top of the basin's pyramid.
