I Have a God Simulator

After the [High Furnace Wonders], no one else entered the Dragon Nest. The Ice Giant Monsters had been subjugated by the Dragon King, becoming majestic soldiers and loyal guards outside the Dragon Nest.

The towering Giant Monsters stood stock-still outside the arched gate. They were arranged in two columns, like ice sculptures of ancient Fierce Beasts, and just passing by them gave off a sense of pressure.

Forcing their way in was out of the question.

The Adventurers knew full well what the Ice Giant Monsters were capable of. They were on a completely different level from small monsters like Cannibal Crabs and Blazing Chickens. Especially in the icy north, they were walking disasters.

They couldn't win a fight, so their only option was to try to build a good relationship and get on their good side, to see if they could get something from the Dragon Nest. This was the inspiration everyone had drawn from the Elf Lake treasure chest.

If the Musk Ladybug was the darling of fragrances, then the Split Worm was a delicacy of the wild.

But the attempt to curry favor by gifting earthworms failed.

Pasha didn't need to eat, so it had little interest in the earthworms. The Dark Sun Power continuously flowed into it; it slept when it wanted and flew when it wanted, growing stronger as time passed.

Although it didn't eat the earthworms, Pasha used its Dark Sun Power to transform a portion of the newborn Split Worms into members of the Dark Race. These large worms could manage the Dragon Nest and clear away ice and snow.

Adult Split Worms were Extraordinary Creatures and were unaffected. But before a splitting worm had matured into two separate adults, it was considered an ordinary lifeform and could be converted by the Dark Sun.

Luh Yao examined the Dragon Nest's new specialty product.

The Dark Worms were pitch-black and much larger than ordinary Split Worms. Their stats were higher, and they also had a [Dark Race] ability on their panel.

The Dark Sun converted them into the Dark Race, but the Snowman was selling them to outsiders.

Luh Yao could only say, 'Just as I'd expect from you, Jimmy.'

But on second thought, something seemed off.

'Does the Snowman even have the brains for that?'

Aside from his traditional crafts, he wasn't known for his clear thinking or planning skills. This was also what made the Snowman so unpredictable and hard to guard against.

The Snowman said, "This idea came from the mayor."

'And who's the mayor?'

Luh Yao was confused.

'Don't tell me Jimmy went to Yao City and Yan City to seek guidance?'

'That doesn't sound like something he would do.'

The Snowman wobbled over to a big fellow.

"This is the mayor of the Dragon Nest."

Luh Yao took a look.

'Isn't that the Giant Monster Elder?'

'What a bizarre title.'

The Elder possessed a certain degree of wisdom. That was why it had wisely chosen to submit when faced with Selena, thus preserving the Giant Monster tribe.

"Great God, please forgive the boldness of your humble believer..."

The Elder knelt in the snow, pious and respectful.

After listening to Jimmy's jumbled explanation for a while and reviewing the Elder's words, Luh Yao finally pieced together the whole story.

The last time the [Xiao God] descended upon the Northern New Continent, it had attempted to subjugate all the Ice Giant Monsters. Although it was quickly annihilated by Selena and the Blood Knights sent by Luh Yao, the event had a profound impact on the Giant Monster Elder.

The Elder hoped to make the Giant Monster tribe a vassal of the Dragon Nest. This way, with the protection of the Dragon and the Snowman, the Giant Monsters would have some ability to protect themselves even if they encountered another Heterodox Evil God.

The Snowman immediately agreed.

He felt that having Giant Monsters guard the gate would make the Dragon Nest more imposing, which in turn would make people more interested in charging in for a challenge.

Then, the Split Worms were brought by Adventurers as tribute and gifts. The Elder immediately recognized the special nature of these Extraordinary Creatures and suggested they be cultivated and stockpiled.

Pasha also needed to create some members of the Dark Race, and so things gradually evolved into their current state.

The entire Northern Continent's underground was now teeming with Dark Worms.

With a single command from Pasha, the Dark Worms would immediately split. Under the radiation of the Dark Sun Power, their growth rate far surpassed that of their ordinary counterparts.

The earthworms served as natural sentinels, lurking beneath every sheet of ice. Combined with the Ice Giant Monsters on the surface, any major event on this continent could be immediately perceived by the Dragon Nest.

After they started selling the earthworms to outsiders, the Dragon Nest quickly became prosperous.

Tall, continuous ice walls were built around it, and outside the walls stood majestic Dragon sculptures in various poses.

Outside the Dragon Nest, High Castles and Earthworm Ranches were erected. Inside, following Jimmy's ideas, the Giant Monsters converted areas into warehouses, which were filled with chest after chest of gems, Sea Shells, and Gold.

Most importantly, because the Dragon Nest controlled the earthworm industry, many Extraordinary Creatures became its customers.

This was how the [Tyrant Whale Tailbone] was acquired.

And so, the Dragon Nest's development deviated from its original path, sparking a trend of earthworm farming and trading that even affected the population of Extraordinary Creatures throughout the world.

Luh Yao found it both funny and absurd.

He hadn't thought much of it when he'd introduced the earthworms; it was just a simple experiment. Who knew it would trigger such a far-reaching butterfly effect in the Pixel World?

This, too, was one of the pleasures of being a God.

Luh Yao clicked the next notification.

The view shifted to Yan City, focusing on a small figure wearing a wide-brimmed hat and carrying a pack.

He remembered Fabiani. He was the former Prophet of the [Xiang God]. After witnessing his God get thrashed, his worldview had shattered, turning him into an [Alien] and causing him to question his life.

'I never expected he would actually create a new profession.'

By now, the [Alien] title above Fabiani's head had changed to [Yao Race]. His personal panel also showed a new ability and an updated History.

It seemed Fabiani had comprehended [Archaeology], and after gaining the new ability, the [Alien] designation was consumed. Fabiani was now a member of the Yao Race, which meant he had also become a believer.

At this moment, Fabiani was standing before a rectangular building in Yan City. The structure was surrounded by many stone pillars, with a stone platform in front, appearing to be some kind of special venue.

Many pixel people stood beside Fabiani.

Luh Yao recognized Old Shangli, Prophet Doron Nunu, the hammer-wielding hunk Tonghai, and Commander Salt Geller among them.

Tonghai was leading the event.

'Somehow, he's become the new mayor.'

Tonghai was speaking: "...Citizens, I now declare that the Museum of Archaeology—proposed by Mr. Fabiani, sponsored by the couple Mr. Pawa and Lady Jody, and organized by the Citizen Council—is officially open to all citizens starting today."

"On display inside are many important relics from our past History, which will remain in Yan City as a permanent record."

Many curious citizens began to walk inside.

Luh Yao locked his perspective onto Fabiani's head.
