I Have a God Simulator

The island’s Divine Statue had three heads, all with stretched-out necks, making it look like a human trident. Luh Yao figured the player behind the Divine Statue was probably not human.

Normal people weren’t like that.

There were players from other intelligent races in the simulator, and Luh Yao had already encountered several of them.

For instance, the Whistleblower, covered in whistles; the Skinner, covered in eyes; the Tao God, with its mushroom body; and the Haili God, an upright Lizardman.

This one before him was most likely another lifeform from a different World Dimension.

Luh Yao focused his view above the island, wanting to see how this player from the Otherworld operated.

The Three-Headed Person’s style seemed rather gentle.

He created waves in the ocean, launching fish and shrimp into the air to land on the island. The islanders danced with joy as they gathered the seafood, all of them eating until they were full.

He dispelled storms and heavy rain, allowing sunlight to grace the island and creating a warm, comfortable living environment. The islanders could sleep peacefully, sheltered from the sun and rain.

This led the little pixel people to worship the Divine Statue with great fervor. A constant stream of nearby islanders and natives arrived, integrating into the life under the Divine Statue’s protection.

Luh Yao made a rough visual estimate: there were about a hundred little people on the island. With a bit more development, the little people could form an island-style tribal civilization.

The Three-Headed Person’s opening moves were very steady. He made practically no wasted moves, and every Miracle was performed at the perfect time.

’This person might be a development-focused player, too,’ Luh Yao guessed.

As the islander population continued to grow, conflicts began to break out.

The island was only so large. Besides some uninhabitable rocky areas and cliffs, there were very few places suitable for building huts and establishing long-term settlements.

The housing issue led to friction and brawls among the little people. Another group simply gave up and lay down on the beach, using it as an open-air dormitory—after all, their God would protect them.

Luh Yao grew curious. ’I wonder how the Three-Headed Person will solve this space issue.’

After nightfall, strong winds and waves suddenly rose around the island. Layers of massive waves jostled against each other on the surface of the sea.

The little people on the beach just rolled over, not worried in the slightest.

After all, with their God’s protection, all this scary-looking stuff was just noise.

The waves did indeed stop at the edge of the beach, but in the next moment, several behemoths emerged from them.

They were huge, bronze-green crabs. Each one was the size of two or three little pixel people. The moment they hit the shore, they began hunting and eating the islanders one by one.

The island echoed with terrified screams.

"Horrible, horrible monsters!"

"Waaah! What are those things?!"

"I’m going to die! My leg... my leg is gone!"

"God, God, help us!"

"Merciful God, please help us drive these monsters away!"

The surviving islanders all ran to the Divine Statue, begging for protection.

The three-headed Divine Statue did not move.

The giant green crabs surrounded the Divine Statue and killed every last one of the little pixel people, but they did not eat the corpses.

Then, they formed a circle around the three-headed Divine Statue and raised their massive pincers, as if performing some bizarre ritual or cheering for their God. Smiley face symbols appeared above the crabs’ heads.

Luh Yao frowned as he watched.

’So the Three-Headed Person’s true Believers were these crab monsters, and the islanders were just food he had prepared for them.’

He clicked on one of the green crabs.

Luh Yao was confused.

Even if these Cannibal Crabs could provide Faith, there were far fewer of them than the islanders—just over twenty, less than a fifth of the human population.

’Why did the Three-Headed Person choose crabs?’

Soon, Luh Yao understood why.

After eating their fill, the Cannibal Crabs began to reproduce.

They reproduced as fast as an assembly line. Soon, the area around the Divine Statue was teeming with thousands of tiny, translucent crabs that swarmed over nearly the entire island.

After reproducing, the parent Cannibal Crabs died on the island, becoming food for the next generation.

The small crabs ate their parents’ bodies and then devoured the corpses of the little people on the ground. Afterward, they surrounded the Divine Statue, waving their pincers as if still crying out in hunger.

The Three-Headed Person stirred up a storm in the sea, sweeping fish and shrimp from the ocean onto the island.

The small Cannibal Crabs scrambled madly for the food, gobbling it down and slowly growing larger.

Luh Yao now had a general grasp of the Three-Headed Person’s strategy.

The Three-Headed Person was a monster-focused player, one who would severely threaten the survival of this world’s little people.

’Eliminating them is the safest option.’

As for recruiting a Subordinate God...

Luh Yao only considered local gods; foreign gods were off the table for now. ’Players in the simulator are a huge potential risk. There’s a severe lack of information, and too many uncontrollable factors.’

Soon, the forces Luh Yao had deployed were in position.

The Deep Sea Lord swam submerged, heading straight for the Three-Headed Person’s island.

Terrified by the monster’s sudden appearance, the small crabs scattered, each one diving into the sea.

The Three-Headed Person finally realized the danger and quickly called down a Storm. The Miracle struck the Deep Sea Lord, dealing only 10 damage.

After taking the first hit, Luh Yao switched to Manual Mode and had the Deep Sea Lord move quickly.

The Submerge ability doubled Klau’s underwater speed, making it hard for the Storm to land another hit. It only managed to create whirlpools and waves on the ocean’s surface.

The Three-Headed Person then switched to another Miracle, freezing a large patch of the sea solid and dealing 30 damage to the Deep Sea Lord.

However, he only seemed to cycle between these two attack methods.

Once Luh Yao adapted to the opponent’s attack pattern, dodging became much easier. On top of that, thanks to the Deep Sea Lord’s Water Element Trait, he was slowly regenerating Life Value underwater and had no fear of a battle of attrition.

After just a brief exchange, Luh Yao had already gathered some intel.

The Three-Headed Person was neither skilled nor precise in their use of Miracles, employing them one by one in single-target attacks. It looked like they had never been in a Divine War.

Miracles dealt true damage to Extraordinary Creatures, which could not be mitigated by defense. The damage dealt was double the amount of Faith consumed.

For example, if Luh Yao spent 20 Faith to create a lightning bolt, it would deal 40 damage.

The Three-Headed Person’s Storm dealt 10 damage, meaning it only cost 5 Faith.

His freeze attack dealt 30 damage, with a Faith cost of 15.

The damage output of the Three-Headed Person’s Miracles was on the low side.

It didn’t seem like they were trying to kill the Deep Sea Lord, however. They were just using the Storm and ice to keep it from reaching the shore and prevent their Divine Statue from being attacked.

An underwater war of attrition was a walk in the park for the Deep Sea Lord.

While controlling the underwater unit, Luh Yao turned his attention to the island.

The Snowman was ready.

Just as the Divine Statue cast another Miracle, Jimmy charged in for a raid on the Ghost White Horse.

The Snowman sped past the Divine Statue, its red-gloved hand plunging inside and pulling out something that looked like a horn.

Luh Yao saw "+1768 Faith" pop up in the upper-right corner.

’Holy cow!’

’That’s quite a stockpile.’

This feint-and-raid on the Divine Statue stunned the Three-Headed Person for a moment, and they seemed to forget to cast their next Miracle.

A moment later, they seemed to realize what had happened and began to retaliate with a frenzy. Storms relentlessly bombarded the island; their hatred for the Snowman made them completely ignore the powerful enemy on the battlefield at sea.

Luh Yao could understand.

It was perfectly normal for a God’s blood pressure to skyrocket after having their hard-earned Faith and Artifacts stolen in a moment of carelessness.

However, the Snowman on the white horse had a speed of 40+, and the slow-moving Storms and ice attacks had no chance of hitting him.

Jimmy even circled back around and reached into the Divine Statue for another handful.

+99 Faith.

This blow silenced the Three-Headed Person.

As if they had given up all resistance, they became like a true stone sculpture and stopped using Miracles.

Luh Yao waited for a moment.

There was no reaction.

He cautiously launched a probing lightning bolt.

The three-headed Divine Statue immediately crumbled into pieces on the ground.

A message appeared in the simulator.

[The Faith of the Tri-Limbed God has completely vanished from the area. Its Believers will begin to search for a new God.]

Only then did Luh Yao understand.

It wasn’t that the Three-Headed Person had given up the fight.

They had simply run out of ammunition.
