I Have a God Simulator

Chapter 75 - 70: Dimensional Strike

The boss looked upset today. I wonder who got on his bad side this time.

The veteran employees all looked secretive, whispering among themselves.

Luh Yao couldn’t fit into their circle, and he couldn’t be bothered to ask what was going on.

Just before the end of the workday, Sister Peng, whom he hadn’t seen in days, rushed in. Judging by her expression, she wasn’t in a good mood.

She spent a while with the boss in his office, and when she came out, she started clearing her desk.

Luh Yao wondered to himself.

’Don’t tell me Sister Peng is quitting?’

At the thought of another capable person leaving the company, Luh Yao couldn’t help but feel a wave of despair.

’With only a bunch of vermin left, how is any work supposed to get done?’

He asked her tentatively, but got an unexpected answer.

"The company was robbed. Someone rummaged through the company safe," Sister Peng said, lowering her voice.

Luh Yao frowned. "No way. The surveillance cameras are on it 24/7..."

Sister Peng said with a stern face, "It’s not just the safe. There are signs that many people’s drawers, folders, and cabinets have been rummaged through."

"To be able to avoid the cameras and silently go through the company’s things... there’s only one possibility..."

Sister Peng left it at that.

Luh Yao understood what she meant.

The most likely culprit was an inside man—someone who could avoid the cameras and know exactly which documents and files to look for.

However, Luh Yao’s thinking had already transcended that of a normal person.

’It could also be done using an Artifact from the simulator.’

Investigating the case and hunting down the culprit was a job for the police and the Committee. Luh Yao abided by the prime directive of a junior employee: ’Even if I do nothing, I must not make a mistake.’

...

Back home, it was God time.

Luh Yao sat in front of his computer, his mood lightening considerably.

He opened a box of fried tofu and a braised chicken leg he’d bought on the way, and cracked open a bottle of iced Coke.

This was his dinner for the day.

On the screen, a few notifications caught Luh Yao’s attention.

[The Garlic Tribe has invented celestial navigation.]

[The Garlic Tribe has discovered the New Continent.]

[The Garlic Tribe has surveyed the New Continent.]

The Garlic Tribe had already mastered Astrology and the Navigation Technique, so it was only natural for them to develop the more advanced celestial navigation.

With the advent of celestial navigation, a world map appeared on the right side of the game interface.

Although the map was composed of rough pixels, Luh Yao could see at a glance the Western Continent in the center, as well as two large islands to its south.

Directly east on the world map was another landmass, slightly smaller than the Western Continent.

With the world map, Luh Yao could switch locations much faster just by dragging the mouse.

The camera view instantly switched to the skies above the Eastern Continent.

Unlike the forests and high mountains of the Western Continent, most of the Eastern Continent consisted of grasslands and tidal flats. A few rivers snaked through the grasslands before flowing into the ocean.

On the grasslands was an animal Luh Yao had been longing for.

Horses!

’Finally, I’m going to have horses!’

Besides wild horses, the grasslands were also home to herds of bison, antelopes, wolf packs, and prides of lions. The variety and number of animals were abundant.

Just as Luh Yao was about to order his little people to capture some horses, he suddenly noticed a group of Wild People.

This group of Wild People lived in a simple village enclosed by giant stones. They worshipped a white Divine Statue, which sat cross-legged on the ground, surrounded by Wild People prostrating themselves before it.

’A Divine Player?’

’There’s a player on this continent?’

Luh Yao scrutinized the local environment.

The Wilderness Tribe was at a relatively primitive stage. The people still used leaves to cover themselves and carried spears whittled from branches. They had bows and arrows but lived in hemispherical huts made of mud and thatch.

It was worth noting that the Wilderness Tribe had three advantages.

First, they had tamed horses. The Wild People could already hunt on horseback, moving with incredible speed.

Second, they had domesticated dogs.

Third, they knew how to fire pottery, a crucial technology that Luh Yao had overlooked.

The Wilderness Tribe also had many weaknesses.

Their cultivated land was too small, with only a few Farmers. They grew few crops in both quantity and variety, making them extremely dependent on meat.

Many of the Wild People had vomiting emojis floating above their heads, indicating they were plagued by illness. The tribe lacked the Pharmacist profession, and it was also possible their water or food sources were contaminated.

There were hardly any herbivores left around the Wilderness Tribe, so they had to travel far to hunt. Those areas were usually occupied by other predators, with no shortage of wolf packs and lions.

Fortunately, they had bows and arrows. Their Range advantage allowed the Wild People to continuously expand their territory and drive away other beasts.

But on these grasslands, the true top of the food chain wasn’t the lion, but a monster called the [Blazing Chicken].

The [Blazing Chicken]’s level was between LV5 and LV10. They weren’t large, but they were covered in brilliant, lush red feathers and were extremely fast runners.

The Blazing Chicken was fierce and aggressive. Any animal that made eye contact with it would be attacked.

When enraged, its entire body would burst into flames, scorching its enemies and setting fire to the grasslands and trees in its path. It was practically a prairie pyromaniac.

Luh Yao noticed a group of Wild People had set their sights on a Blazing Chicken. Armed with bows and arrows, they launched a ranged sneak attack on the dangerous monster.

But the Blazing Chicken charged right through the volley of arrows, setting several Wild People on fire. They rolled on the ground, screaming, before being burned alive on the grassland.

Luh Yao observed for a while and found that the Wild People didn’t fail every time.

They sometimes managed to kill Blazing Chickens around LV5. However, they always paid a heavy price, with Hunters being killed or seriously injured in the process.

After killing a Blazing Chicken, the Wild People would carry the monster back to their village, where the Prophet would offer it as a sacrifice to the Divine Statue. They called this player the "Yangwu God."

Luh Yao got the general picture.

’The player must be ordering the Wild People to hunt the Blazing Chickens. That’s why even though many of them die each time and the success rate for the hunt is low, the Wild People still desperately attack these powerful monsters.’

Luh Yao stroked his chin.

’I can only say you’re pretty unlucky to be matched in the same zone as me.’

’The gap between us is enormous, in every respect.’

With the help of celestial navigation, Luh Yao could use the world map to easily lock onto any location on this continent. He could observe the every move of every little person here.

And neither the little people nor that player had any idea.

There was also a massive gap between their two civilizations.

This place was still in the Stone Age. The Garlic Tribe, on the other hand, was already using copper and iron to forge armor and metal weapons, and they had a wealth of combat experience and technological reserves.

Just blockading the coast with galleys would be enough to trap the Wild People on this landmass.

But all of that was within the realm of what could be achieved by mortals.

’I could fight them, but there’s no need.’

Luh Yao ran simulations in his head over and over, confirming that his strategy had no obvious flaws.

’Time to make my move.’

He clicked on [Lightning].

The first bolt of lightning struck the Prophet of the Wilderness Tribe.

A blue light descended, and the unsuspecting Prophet was instantly turned to ash. With the Prophet’s death, the connection between the Wilderness Tribe and their God was severed.

The divine punishment from the heavens sent the surrounding Wild People scattering in terror.

"The God, the God is angry!"

"Why?"

"The God is not pleased!"

"The Blazing Chicken was bad, the Sacrificial Offering was bad!"

"The Prophet was executed, the Prophet is dead!"

Luh Yao didn’t stop there. He spammed 50 [Lightning] strikes, bombarding the Divine Statue in the center of the village.

Amidst the continuous flashes of lightning, a barrier of white light appeared over the Divine Statue. However, the barrier only lasted for a second before shattering and disappearing.

No longer protected, the Divine Statue was obliterated by the barrage of lightning, reduced to a pile of grayish-white dust.

A notification appeared in the simulator.

[The Faith of Yangwu God has completely disappeared from this area. Their Believers will begin to search for a new God.]

Luh Yao was mostly satisfied with the results of his blitz.
