I Have a God Simulator

Chapter 65 - 60: I Ride a White Horse on the Highway

Luh Yao selected the [Ghost White Horse].

Just like before, the other [Giant Stone Totem] card returned to the tree. The Silvanus Tree then dissolved into countless pixel particles and vanished.

A message appeared in the simulator.

[The Silvanus Tree has fallen into a slumber.]

[The forest awaits its awakening. Please construct a Forest House to allow the forest creatures to grow further. The Silvanus Tree will once again grant a treasured reward in gratitude.]

’Forest House?’

’What’s that now?’

Luh Yao was eager to try out his newly acquired horse, but he believed in doing things in order. First things first.

He first scanned the forest and found two Tree People.

The young Tree Person wasn’t growing very fast. It was only LV2, still in its juvenile development stage.

Meanwhile, the original Tree Person now had an additional title above its head: [Forest Soul].

...

[Tree Person LV20] [Forest Soul] [Isabelle Creation]

Life Value: 990/990 (1580/1580)

Mana Value: 222/222

Damage: 20

Defense: 25

Speed: 7

[Thick Hide]

Innately possesses high Life Value.

[Self-Reproduction]

Can produce new offspring.

[Leaf Shooting Lv15]

Fires leaves to attack enemies from a distance.

[Rebirth LV15]

Continuously recovers Life Value when it rains.

[Forest Element LV1]

A Forest Elemental Creature that contributes to the rapid growth of the forest. All of its attributes are enhanced within a forest. The effect depends on the ability’s level and Life Value.

[Forest Soul LV1]

A Symbiont of the Forest Soul. It cannot leave the forest, but it can heal other Forest Elemental Creatures.

...

Luh Yao studied the Tree Person’s panel repeatedly.

It wasn’t a special unit like a Hero. It didn’t have the six core stats, only a combat data panel. In other words, the Tree Person belonged to the broad category of monsters.

The difference now was that the Tree Person had become a host for the Forest Soul. It had to remain in the forest forever and was now moonlighting as a forest Druid.

Luh Yao asked Isabel what a Forest House was.

"My Lord, a Forest House is a wonder-type building belonging to the Forest Element. It requires a God to use the power of a Miracle and forge it with the Fire of Faith."

Isabel said.

’A wonder?’

’Never mind then.’

Luh Yao immediately put it out of his mind.

He then dragged the [Ghost White Horse] and dropped it onto Isabel, letting her equip it.

An extra health bar of (200/200) immediately appeared after Isabel’s Life Value, and her defense and speed increased by the corresponding amounts.

In addition, a new ability appeared on her personal panel.

...

[High-Level Disguise LV5]: Enters a disguised state that can only be seen through at close range. If not seen through, the first attack is guaranteed to deal double damage.

...

After equipping the [Ghost White Horse], Isabel’s entire appearance changed. She was now dressed in a black robe and riding a white horse, her movement speed greatly increased.

The [Ghost White Horse] was an Artifact in essence, not a creature, so its Spirit of the White Horse form could be toggled on and off. However, the bonuses remained unchanged; it was merely a cosmetic difference.

Seeing this, an idea suddenly occurred to Luh Yao.

’I wonder if I can ride this horse in the real world?’

He tried dragging the [Ghost White Horse] out of the [Sacrificial Offering] slot in the Divine Hall.

A small white horse sculpture appeared on his computer desk. It was tiny, small enough to stand in his palm, but the craftsmanship was exquisite. The mane and muscle lines were carved with lifelike detail.

To be safe, Luh Yao had Isabel come over from the Divine Hall as well. She changed into normal clothes to go out with him and test the horse on the road.

The motorcycle factory dormitory where Luh Yao lived was next to the city’s ring-road expressway. A walk of a few hundred meters away from it led to an increasingly desolate area.

This area had once been a planned direction for the city’s expansion. But because compensation negotiations for demolishing the old houses stalled, the project was shelved, and the city’s development focus shifted completely to the south.

The old houses gradually became uninhabited, leaving only a few auto repair shops and building material centers. During the day, it was bustling with vehicles, but at night, it was dead silent, with hardly a soul in sight.

Luh Yao chose this place to test the horse precisely because it was so deserted.

He walked to a hidden intersection and looked at Isabel, who was beside him in a hoodie and sunglasses. "We won’t be discovered, right?"

"My Lord, High-Level Disguise is a very powerful Stealth ability. Even a Blood Knight couldn’t see through it without getting close."

Luh Yao grumbled to himself.

’That’s in your Pixel World. This is the age of technology.’

’If a surveillance camera gets me arrested on the spot, that would be a huge problem.’

But he had already prepared for this.

Luh Yao pulled up his hood, put on sunglasses and a mask, and had Isabel do the same. This way, even if they were seen, their identities wouldn’t be easily exposed.

Once everything was ready, he held the [Ghost White Horse] statue and activated its horse form with a thought.

The white horse stone statue went POOF, dissolving into a cloud of white mist that coalesced into a tall white horse without a single stray hair.

The Ghost White Horse’s coat was glossy and its body was agile, standing about two meters tall. It knelt submissively, but its eyes glowed with an eerie green light, like two wisps of Ghost Fire.

Luh Yao took out his phone and aimed the camera at the white horse.

As expected, the camera feed was empty. The High-Level Disguise truly couldn’t be captured by a camera.

Luh Yao and Isabel mounted the horse, one behind the other. He then took a selfie with his phone and found it only captured the empty street. The [High-Level Disguise] worked on the riders as well.

The tall Ghost White Horse straightened up, its front hooves tapping lightly on the ground as if warming up.

Isabel, sitting in front, said considerately, "My Lord, you only need to think it, and the Ghost White Horse will understand. This is a very useful high-level Artifact."

"Please hold on to me, the horse is about to run."

Luh Yao had nowhere else to grab, so he could only wrap his arms around Isabel’s waist.

Isabel gently squeezed her legs, and with a single bound, the Ghost White Horse transformed into a white afterimage and flew down the street.

The speed it unleashed far exceeded Luh Yao’s imagination. The trees lining the street flew backward, and a fierce wind rushed into Luh Yao’s nostrils and through the gap in his lips. It made his hood flap loudly and gave him a sense of speed he had never felt before.

He asked questions as he rode and quickly learned the simple riding technique.

Luh Yao had Isabel pull over and stop the horse.

"I want to sit in front. You stay behind me and keep watch."

So, Isabel moved back, sitting on the rear of the horse’s back to let Luh Yao take control of the white horse from the front.

Luh Yao grabbed the mane and gave the command, "Go!"

The white horse shot forward like an arrow released from a bow.

The entire ride felt as smooth as walking on flat ground for Luh Yao. There was no bumping or instability, and it even felt a bit unreal.

The wind from their high-speed travel scraped across his cheeks with a slight sting, making Luh Yao realize this was not a dream or an illusion.

The white horse possessed both speed and agility. It leaped over rocks and railings on the ground and nimbly jumped over the head of a man on a bicycle—who didn’t notice a thing.

Finally, under Luh Yao’s control, it leaped onto the main road and galloped wildly, leaving car after car behind.

The white horse continued to accelerate, charging onto the ring-road expressway as a streak of white light.

Luh Yao drove this horse-shaped supercar, overtaking vehicles all along the way. After racing for half an hour, he guided the horse off the expressway.

He felt both thrilled and regretful.

’Such a great mount, and I can only ride it occasionally in the middle of the night.’

’Drawing too much attention from the Committee and other players would be a loss that outweighs the gain.’

’Safety first.’

’A shared bike might be a little slow, but it fits my persona as a working stiff better.’

...

「The next day, at the office.」

It was the middle of the month, so Luh Yao wasn’t very busy today. Boss Huang had gone out early to negotiate a contract, so everyone in the office started to happily slack off.

After organizing his documents and reports, Luh Yao was about to put on his eye mask to take a short nap.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sister Peng next to him with a strange expression on her face.

She was looking at a photo on her phone.

The photo showed Fu Chenggang. Beside him, Sister Peng was making a peace sign, a smile on her face.

Behind them, two other people were standing to the side, picking out a head of cabbage. It was none other than Luh Yao and Isabel, who was wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.

Sister Peng turned her head, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "Luh Yao, this person... who is she?"
