Being a Late Bloomer in the Cultivation World

Chapter 205 - 148: Three-Eyed Silver Toad, Ten Thousand Years Medicine King, Si Qing’s Death

The Sky-Splitting Carving was a bird, so although it was affected by the No-Fly Array, the impact wasn’t great.

Through the Sky-Splitting Carving’s vision, Wei Tu was finally able to see the forest outside the Stone Hall.

’Inside the core area of the Yunze Secret Realm?’ Wei Tu’s brow twitched as he began to speculate about the Stone Hall’s location.

Through the Sky-Splitting Carving’s vision, he saw some familiar landmarks from the core area.

Wei Tu then told Zhao Qingluo, who was at his side, what he had discovered.

The two immediately entered the Stone Hall.

However, to Wei Tu’s surprise, the instant he stepped into the Stone Hall, he felt the power of a Teleportation Array once more.

The scene before his eyes changed.

When his feet touched solid ground, he discovered that he hadn’t entered the grand hall of the Stone Hall he’d seen from outside, but rather a narrow corridor.

The corridor seemed to stretch on endlessly, with no end in sight.

The corridor’s walls were made entirely of dark cyan stone. Only the ceiling above was inlaid with bright Luminous Stones.

’Just like the Barrier outside the Stone Hall, these corridor walls block Divine Sense. What’s more, my Divine Sense is restricted within the corridor; I can only extend it about three paces out.’

’And these walls are incredibly sturdy, comparable to a Tier Two Magical Artifact.’

Wei Tu frowned deeply.

Having his Divine Sense restricted was not good news for him.

’I’ll try the Geomagnetic Primordial Light.’

After thinking for a moment, Wei Tu leaned down and mobilized the Geomagnetic Primordial Light from his Dantian, directing it to seep into the dark cyan stone walls.

Much like his Divine Sense, his Geomagnetic Primordial Light was also hampered by the stone walls, though to a much lesser extent.

Unlike his Divine Sense, the Geomagnetic Primordial Light wasn’t repelled. It seeped into the stone wall, only stopping after it reached a depth of three feet, unable to penetrate any further.

Within the corridor, the Geomagnetic Primordial Light’s range was also greater than his Divine Sense, extending about twenty paces away.

After understanding the restrictions he was under, Wei Tu wasted no time and began searching for the corridor’s exit.

Confusingly, however, no matter how far he walked, the corridor seemed to stretch on infinitely; he could never reach its end.

’Could this be an Array?’

At this thought, Wei Tu’s expression soured. He knew next to nothing about Arrays, his knowledge merely scratching the surface.

After all, his time was limited, and he hadn’t been practicing Cultivation for very long. He couldn’t possibly have had the opportunity to become proficient in all of the Hundred Cultivation Techniques.

’The Alchemy Dao and the Array Dao...’ Wei Tu thought to himself. ’I don’t need to be a master of these two Immortal Techniques, but I absolutely cannot be completely ignorant of them...’

’If I make it out of the Yunze Secret Realm alive,’ he resolved, ’I’m definitely going to study Arrays thoroughly so I can avoid ever being in a situation like this again.’

’Every Array has an Array Hub. As long as I can find it and destroy it, the Array will break on its own.’

Wei Tu calmed himself and began to rack his brain for what little he knew about Arrays, searching for a way to break through.

Thinking of this, Wei Tu felt a sudden wave of gratitude for his Geomagnetic Primordial Light.

Without the Geomagnetic Primordial Light, relying on his Divine Sense alone, he would have been utterly helpless against these dark cyan stone walls that blocked it.

With the aid of his Geomagnetic Primordial Light, Wei Tu began to scan the dark cyan stone walls, inch by inch.

At this point, Wei Tu could no longer afford to be stingy with his Elixirs. Whenever his Magical Power fell by a quarter, he would immediately consume an Elixir to replenish it and prevent himself from entering a Weakness Stage.

His persistence was rewarded.

Two days later, using his Geomagnetic Primordial Light, Wei Tu finally detected a faint anomaly within the stone wall.

His senses told him that deep inside this section of wall, unlike the others, was a pearl the size of an infant’s fist.

Wei Tu retrieved the Ice Flood Dragon Sword from his Storage Bag and began striking that spot on the wall.

The stone wall slowly cracked, cyan stone flaking away inch by inch to reveal a crimson orb the size of an infant’s fist.

The Talisman Sword pried the crimson orb loose.

The crimson orb clattered as it rolled onto the floor.

Just as he had done with the Pitch-Black Finger Bone, Wei Tu ordered the Sky-Splitting Carving to touch the crimson orb to check if it was dangerous.

A moment later, Wei Tu took the crimson orb from the Sky-Splitting Carving’s talons. He examined it but couldn’t identify what kind of Spiritual Object it was.

The corridor remained unchanged.

But Wei Tu didn’t abandon his search for more crimson orbs within the walls.

「Several days later.」

By the time Wei Tu had pried a total of five crimson orbs from the walls, the corridor before him finally changed. A White Jade Stone Gate now stood at its end.

Wei Tu ignored the White Jade Stone Gate for the moment. He continued to search the nearby walls for crimson orbs. After collecting the remaining three and placing them in his Storage Bag, he finally walked to the end of the corridor to carefully examine the gate before him.

The White Jade Stone Gate was tightly sealed and showed no sign of anything unusual. However, when Wei Tu tried to push it with all his strength, it didn’t move an inch.

Wei Tu frowned, his gaze shifting to several other corridors that had appeared near the White Jade Stone Gate, a thoughtful look on his face.

Now, he had two options.

First, he could explore the other corridors in search of a different Opportunity.

Second, he could figure out how to open the White Jade Stone Gate.

Wei Tu didn’t hesitate long before choosing the second path.

After all, there was no way to tell if the other corridors led to a trap or a genuine Opportunity.

After observing the gate from the side for half a day, Wei Tu pressed a spot on its right side. An indentation, shaped like a Token, promptly appeared in the center of the gate.

’Does it need a Nanhua Sect Token?’ Wei Tu began to worry. ’But there aren’t any here.’

He had already searched the entire area around the corridor. Other than the crimson orbs that served as Array Hubs, there was nothing else, let alone a Token.
