Reborn as a Wolfkin

A lot has happened since that day… And it's been only a week. Allisa's birthday is coming up and I already got her gift. I was prepared to get her something nice.

Pretty much, I was Lora's first customer and commissioned a healer's outfit for Allisa. James and Melinda helped come up with it too— it was pretty much a black dress, a white shirt covered by a fancy looking small cloak on top. Paired with it, black heeled boots. But most importantly, a red bow.

Verd and Sage got her a little staff to help channel her magic. Shaun money, but more than last time.

At this point, it just seemed like Shaun was bad with gifts. Since… yeah, he gave us both the same type of gift. But Allisa has no income… so at least he was thoughtful enough to give her a bit more than me.

Anywho, time for a new day.

Ah… right… Shen left four days ago, and I got my room back to myself. That's actually where I'm sitting down, nothing was going on today. Everyone had no plans today, same with me.

Like the cleaning, this is slightly boring. I thought as I looked around my room whilst kicking my legs. Seems like everyone's bored too.

Steph and Zephy were arguing like usual, the latter made a pretty serious cleaning mistake… Something related to sweeping and layering countertops with dust. I expected much worse….

“And I have to figure out what to do.” I mumbled as I got dressed and left my room. “Reminds me of back on earth during summer vacation…”

Like always, the rooms were pristine, mainly due to Steph's work. I couldn't see a speck of dust, even with my enhanced eyesight… Or… My normal eyesight.

Recently, I've noticed my eyesight seems to be as good as a normal person's; even when I focus it is the same as when I was Mathew. Probably due to the injury, I wouldn't be shocked.

“Oh, good morning Miss Yukina.” When I walked into the kitchen, I heard Steph call out to me.

What is happening here?

Zephy's head was completely forced onto the table by Steph.

I didn't bother to ask, I turned around and left the room. These are their usual shenanigans so I shouldn't question anything by now… They really fight like siblings.

They'd randomly argue throughout the house, mainly Steph yelling at Zephy to focus. I don't know if they are, or not. They act completely differently.

I mean… Steph is a human, Zephy is a birdkin. Well… to be fair, Melissa is a catkin, Melinda is a human.

When I got to the front door, their argument ensued again. At this point I closed my ears off from them and left the house.

Huh…I'll just go on a walk as those two are arguing.

So far my regular route became going to the shopping district— People started to wave at me and try to talk to me. Probably because of Shen… However… I just kept to myself.

My social anxiety was severe nowadays. My heart would race, my hands would get shaky… Overall, I felt like a nervous wreck when meeting new people. However the walk does help kill some time.

Another issue is I have to keep my mind preoccupied or the voices would cause my anxiety to worsen. All in itself, I found a way to walk around Ard without going into a panic. Trust me, Shaun finding me that day was embarrassing.

Speaking of which… Those two are spending a lot of time together. I tilted my head to the right when I found myself in front of Lora's new shop. Shaun's loyal to his wife… So I don't think anything bad is going on.

But… I had an itch in my brain as I stared at the doorknob. What are those two doing? Was the question I couldn't help but hold myself back from wanting to know.

Let's… The doorknob was warm, and I heard a click as I turned it. See~

… When the door moved to the side, Shaun was on his feet; he had a rare smile, in front of him stood Lora. His… hand was on her head, whilst I could see Lora was happy.

“Uh…”

“M-Miss Yukina?!”

“I- I'll give you both space…” Before I could close the door, my hand was grabbed and a hand blocked the door.

“It's not what it looks like!”

Then what was that? I watched Lora's face turn rosey. Why are you embarrassed?

“Yukina I was just patting her head.” Shaun popped up behind her. “She's getting used to the monster materials.”

“Y-Yeah! There wasn't anything weird going on!”

… As long as they're not doing anything weird. I managed to pry Lora's hands off my arm and started to rub where she grabbed.

“...” Shaun squinted at me then stated, “Yukina, my heart still belongs to Vivienna… and I am way too old for Lora.”

“As long as you two aren't doing anything weird.” I responded before turning around and readied myself to leave.

“Y-Yukina.. Um, your sister's outfit is ready-”

Already? I widened my eyes at her words and tilted my head. She seems ready for it.

Lora was practically bursting with glee despite the rosy cheeks she had. After fumbling with her hands and words a bit, she pulled me into the room I cleared out.

In the middle was a mannequin, perfectly to Allisa's height and… sizes. It was perfectly as described, when Lora had me feel the fabric it was quite soft and fluffy.

Makes me kind of jealous… I thought as I felt a tightness in my chest.

“So… how is it?” Lora asked me with nervousness in her voice.

“It's… good, exactly how I thought of it.”

“That's great! We can hand it to Allisa as soon as we-”

I stopped her and cut her off. “It's a birthday gift for her… I think she'll love it.”

“I hope she does… I stayed up making it.” Lora proclaimed with a puffed chest. “Speaking of which, when is her birthday?:

“In two weeks.” I replied. Close to the banquet. “We're going to celebrate it in a week… Mainly due to the demi-god banquet.”

“C-Can I come to it?”

I nodded my head. After a bit of time we decided to buy a box that fit Allisa's outfit. When it was all over, I brought it home and hid it under my bed.
