Alloy Composite Bow
An hour later, Rangga's boat finally docked at the small pier on his home island.
The moment he stepped ashore, a blue screen appeared before him.
《Would you like to unload your boat's entire inventory?》
Rangga immediately selected Yes.
A brilliant light appeared once again in the middle of the island.
As it faded, all of the resources from today's expedition were neatly arranged on the ground.
Wood ×31
Alloy Plate ×27
Synthetic Fiber ×27
Composite Alloy Bow Blueprint 1/3 ×1
Composite Alloy Bow Blueprint 2/3 ×1
Composite Alloy Bow Blueprint 3/3 ×1
Sea Pandanus Fruit ×12
Rangga ignored the other materials. Instead, he crouched in front of the pile of Sea Pandanus Fruit.
"...I hope this is enough."
Another blue screen appeared.
Send Resources to Earth
0 / 5 kg
Rangga picked up one medium-sized fruit and held it toward the screen and it immediately dissolved into light.
2 / 5 kg
He raised an eyebrow.
"Huh... These things are pretty heavy."
He picked up another fruit of roughly the same size and it disappeared as well.
4 / 5 kg
Looking at the remaining fruit, he selected one that was slightly smaller. As soon as it touched the screen, a warning appeared.
Item weight exceeds the remaining shipment capacity.
The System will only send the remaining weight available, up to the maximum limit of 5 kg.
Rangga stared at the warning for several seconds.
"...Eh, whatever."
He shrugged. Before pressing the confirmation button, he looked up at the sky.
"Sorry... This is all I could send today."
Then he pressed Send. Instantly, the fruit inside the shipment window dissolved into light and vanished, beginning its journey toward Earth.
At the Garuda Nation's Presidential Palace, another brilliant light appeared at the resource reception area.
Moments later, tens of thousands of Sea Pandanus fruits materialized across the designated zone.
The personnel exchanged confused glances.
"Sir... What kind of fruit is this? I've never seen anything like it."
General Suryo walked toward the pile of bright red fruit. After observing it for a moment, he gave his orders.
"Move everything... Send representative samples to the laboratory."
One of the officers hesitated.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"But, sir... What are we supposed to use these for?"
General Suryo slowly shook his head.
"We don't know yet... Store them first. We'll wait for the researchers to determine how they're supposed to be processed."
"Yes, sir!"
The personnel immediately began loading the fruit into containers for transport to the national research center.
Meanwhile, clips of Rangga's shipment quickly spread across social media.
«"Sorry... This is all I could send today."»
That single sentence made countless Garuda citizens chuckle.
"Haha, Rangga's apologizing again."
"He sounds like he's sending groceries home."
"As long as you're sending something, bro. The scientists can figure out how to eat it."
"Poor guy. He looked completely lost trying to decide what to send."
Compared to the previous days, the atmosphere online felt much lighter. At the very least, everyone knew one thing.
As long as the Pioneers could still send supplies back to Earth... they were still alive.
Back on his island, Rangga immediately carried the three blueprint fragments to the Crafting Table beside his hut.
Curious, he placed them on the work surface. The instant all three sheets touched the table, they emitted a golden glow.
Within seconds, the blueprints dissolved into particles of light and disappeared.
"Huh?"
Rangga leaned closer as the Crafting Table interface changed. A brand-new section appeared at the bottom.
Craftable Equipment
Composite Alloy Bow
4 Wood
10 Alloy Plates
15 Synthetic Fiber
Alloy Arrow
1 Alloy Plate
2 Twigs
1 Synthetic Fiber
A broad grin spread across Rangga's face.
"Now that's more like it... Finally... A real weapon."
Without hesitation, he selected Composite Alloy Bow.
The required wood, alloy plates, and synthetic fibers glowed before disappearing from the material piles.
He didn't stop there. Rangga repeatedly selected Alloy Arrow until he had crafted ten arrows.
One batch of materials after another dissolved into light. Moments later, a gentle glow appeared atop the Crafting Table.
As the light faded, a sleek silver-gray bow rested on the workbench.
Beside it lay ten alloy arrows fitted with metal arrowheads that looked far sharper than the stone ones.
Rangga slowly picked up the bow. The instant he gripped it, he noticed the difference.
"...It feels lighter... but somehow stronger."
He picked up one alloy arrow, nocked it, and slowly drew the string. The bow flexed smoothly beneath the tension.
Unable to wait until tomorrow, Rangga walked beside the hut with a single alloy arrow in hand.
Yesterday's practice target still stood nearby.
He nocked the arrow and took a deep breath then released.
Whoosh!
Thunk!
The alloy arrow flew far faster than any stone arrow. It punched straight through the wooden target, leaving only the fletching visible.
Rangga's eyes widened.
"Whoa..."
He walked over and shook the target.
The arrow had buried itself so deeply that it took real effort to pull it free.
"If this hits one of those robot animals... it'll probably punch right through instead of bouncing off."
Rangga nodded with satisfaction.
He removed the alloy arrow, carried the bow and the rest of his arrows inside the hut, and carefully placed them in one corner.
After making sure everything was neatly stored, he stepped back outside.
His eyes immediately fell upon the growing piles of wood, stone, alloy plates, synthetic fibers, and countless other materials stacked beside the hut.
He scratched his head.
"Damn... I need a warehouse. At this rate... my whole island is going to turn into a storage yard."
He opened the island status screen. His gaze settled on the upgrade requirements that were still incomplete.
"Hmm... I should probably upgrade the island first... Maybe that'll unlock some new buildings."
With that thought in mind, Rangga once again organized the day's haul so nothing would remain scattered around the hut.
Before he realized it, the sun had sunk beneath the sea once more.
After spending nearly the entire afternoon organizing his supplies, Rangga finally finished arranging everything beside the hut.
Sitting cross-legged, he counted his remaining resources one by one.
Wood ×54
Stone ×5
Copper Ore ×5
Alloy Plate ×7
Synthetic Fiber ×2
Mango ×4
Banana ×4
Coconut ×8
Sea Pandanus Fruit ×9
Rangga let out a long sigh.
"Damn... Keeping track of all this is exhausting."
He reopened the island status screen.
Level 1 Island
Upgrade Requirements
Wood: 54 / 50 ✔
Stone: 5 / 50
Plant Fiber: 25 / 150
Rangga nodded.
"The wood's done... Now I just need the stone."
Without wasting any time, he opened the crafting menu. His broken stone axe was immediately replaced with a new one.
A moment later, he crafted another stone pickaxe to replace the one that had broken while mining.
The required materials glowed before transforming into two brand-new tools atop the Crafting Table.
Rangga picked them both up and nodded in satisfaction.
"Tomorrow... My priority is gathering stone."
He leaned the axe and pickaxe against the wall of the hut before sitting down beside the campfire, ready to bring his third day in the strange new world to an end.
