Chapter 192
"And now," the announcer cried, "something softer, something sweeter, something that says 'innocence with a bite'!"
The second spider girl sashayed onto the stage. Her look was a stark contrast to the first model's edgy style.
She wore a gown made entirely of the softest, fluffiest white materials, piled and layered like clouds. The bodice was tight, emphasizing her figure while the skirt billowed out dramatically. Thousands of tiny, sparkling gems like captured dew drops were meticulously sewn onto the fabric, shimmering after her every movement.
Delicate silk ropes like fine threads coiled around her arms and neck like jewelry.
Her hair was styled in loose waves, adorned with intricate spiderweb lace. She carried a small, iridescent clutch made from a hollowed-out beetle carapace.
Her makeup was soft and dewy, rosy cheeks and innocent, wide eyes. She walked with a bounce in her step, twirling at the end of the catwalk, the skirt flaring around like a dandelion puff. She blew a playful kiss towards her mothers.
"Introducing 'Dew Drop Dreams'! Pure, ethereal, and utterly irresistible. For the spider princess who wants to enchant, or ensnare… at least, not yet!"
The audience clapped enthusiastically. Lyssandra found herself genuinely impressed. The craftsmanship was impeccable, the designs surprisingly sophisticated. The children had taken their natural talents and applied them with flair.
Morgana beamed, her eyes gleaming with pride. "See, Mistress? Our daughters are talented. They create beauty even amidst the darkness."
"Indeed," Lyssandra murmured, leaning back comfortably between Morgana's breasts, a genuine smile playing on her lips. "They are extraordinary."
As the applause for the ethereal gown died down, the announcer's voice crackled with fresh energy.
"And now! A special treat! Proving that our Silkwalker creations are not just for us eight-legged beauties!"
"Feast your eyes on the epitome of human grace and style! A vision of modern allure! Our next model, on loan from the Mistress's esteemed staff!"
The spotlights dimmed briefly. When they flared back to life, a very different figure stepped onto the catwalk. It was a young human woman, one of the recently rescued maids. She was slender, with soft brown hair and wide, doe eyes currently filled with nervous apprehension. Gone was her usual, sexy maid uniform. Instead, she wore a bikini. But this was no simple swimsuit, it was a masterpiece of modern design.
The top was structured, almost architectural. It consisted of interlocking panels of iridescent fabric in shifting shades of blue and green, mimicking a peacock's tail. The panels were connected by thin, invisible threads, creating geometric cutouts that hinted at the curves beneath while maintaining an air of sophistication.
The bottom was a high-waisted brief, hugging her hips. The silk was so fine and tightly woven, it seemed to glow with an inner light. Delicate, sparkling filaments trailed down her thighs like liquid stardust.
She walked hesitantly at first, her steps small and uncertain. She kept her eyes downcast, deep blush staining her cheeks, hands fidgeted nervously.
"Presenting: 'Peacock Promise'! Modern beach chic meets couture craftsmanship. Striking colors, intricate detailing, and a silhouette that flatters any figure. For a woman who desires elegance in any environment!"
As the girl reached the end of the catwalk, she paused, still staring at the floor. The announcer prompted, "Show us the full effect, dear!"
Taking a deep breath, the maid forced herself to look up and slowly turned in a circle, the iridescent silk catching the light and shifting colors instantly. She managed a tremulous smile towards Lyssandra, her blush deepening to a fiery crimson. She was clearly uneasy being on display in such a revealing outfit but her inherent beauty and the stunning design shone through her shyness.
Murmurs rippled through the small audience. Morgana leaned forward slightly, her eyes narrowing while she appraised the outfit. "Interesting adaptation," she murmured, her voice thoughtful. "Using silk for garments… the structure holds well."
The spider girl on the right bounced excitedly. "She looks so pretty, Mommy! Like a sparkly bird I saw in the book!" she clapped her hands. "We made the fabric shimmer extra bright!"
The girl on the left nodded eagerly. "The panels were tricky! Took ages to get the angles just right!"
Lyssandra observed the maid's shy demeanor. "She seems… somewhat reluctant," she noted, her tone dry. "A natural model, she is not. But the design itself is quite impressive."
She ran a critical eye over the interlocking panels, the subtle hints of skin through the cutouts, the way the silk clung to her body. "Modern, daring yet sophisticated. Not something I'd expect to see fashioned from spider silk in this form. Our children have exceeded yourselves."
The maid, hearing the faint praise despite her distance, managed another nervous smile before scurrying off the stage, her blush still fierce. The spider girl children laughed, swelling with pride at their mistress's approval.
"Thank you, Mommy!" the girl on the right chirped. "We worked very hard on the dye technique! We used crushed moonstone beetle carapaces mixed with the material!"
The announcer, seeing the girl depart, smoothly transitioned. "Ah, the blush of a true maiden! Isn't she precious?" she called out. "But now! Prepare your senses! For our next creation is… electrifying!"
"From the beach to the streets!" the announcer declared as the stage lights shifted to a warmer tone. "Practicality meets panache in our next ensemble!"
A different human girl stepped onto the catwalk. This one carried herself a bit more confidence, her chin held slightly higher. She wore an outfit that, while clearly modern in design, seemed utterly out of place in this era setting.
It was a sleek, tailored jumpsuit. The fabric was a deep, rich indigo that had a subtle sheen. The cut was impeccable – fitted at the waist and hips with wide, slightly flared legs. The shoulders were sharply tailored, and a discreet zipper ran diagonally across the front, from shoulder to hip.
Over this, she wore a cropped, boxy jacket in a slightly lighter shade of blue. It was structured, almost armored-looking with padded shoulders and high collar. The fabric was thicker, sturdier spider silk, quilted in geometric patterns that echoed the cut of the jumpsuit. The jacket was fastened with large, metallic-looking buttons made from polished beetle wings.
Her feet were clad in simple, ankle-height boots made of the same tough silk, soled with a resilient, grippy material suspiciously like cured lightning wolf hide.
She walked with purpose, her movements fluid and practical. At the end of the catwalk, she paused, striking a powerful, almost defiant pose – one hand on her hip, the other gesturing sharply at her outfit.
"Introducing 'Urban Armor'!" the announcer proclaimed. "For the woman who conquers the city! Stylish, functional, and utterly modern. Durable silk for any adventure, with a silhouette that demands respect!"
The audience spoke appreciatively. This outfit, while obviously anachronistic, was undeniably impressive in its craftsmanship and design. It spoke of protection, mobility, and an undeniable sense of contemporary style.
The spider girl children on either side of Lyssandra leaned in excitedly. "We used extra-strength silk for this one!" the one on the right said. "And reinforced stitching on all the seams! It's almost as tough as real armor!"
"The jacket was the hardest!" the other added. "We had to design the pattern to be flexible but still protective. And the buttons! They took forever to shape!"
Lyssandra watched the girl walk, admiring the practical cut and the clear strength of the fabric. "Impressive," she commented, genuine admiration in her voice. "Functional and fashionable. This could actually be worn for… well, if such things existed here. It shows great foresight."
Morgana nodded slowly. "The weave on the jumpsuit is particularly fine. Excellent tension control, daughters."
The model executed a sharp, military-style turn at the end of the catwalk and strode back, her posture radiating confidence.
"And now," the announcer's voice lowered dramatically, the stage lights dimming to a single, intense spotlight, "for the grand finale… a creation embodies the very essence of our Mother, our Mistress! A vision of power and seduction!"
The stage plunged into near darkness, the single spotlight a stark circle of white. Dramatic, low drumming vibrated through the room – likely created by the spiders rhythmically tapping their legs on the floor backstage.
Silence fell over the audience while they waited.
Suddenly, a crack of sound echoed and the sharp SNAP of leather.
From the shadows at the back of the stage, a figure strode into the light. It was another spider girl, but utterly transformed. She wore a skimpy, provocative outfit which was pure, unadulterated dominatrix crafted from the deepest, shiniest black material, clinging like a second skin.
The top was essentially a bra made from interwoven straps, snugging her small breasts while leaving ample skin exposed. The bottom was a high-waisted thong, the fabric vanishing between her thighs. More straps crisscrossed her hips and wrapped around her legs, accentuating every curve.
Her chitin legs were highlighted by glossy, wet-look silk bands. She wore thigh-high boots made from the same gleaming material, ending in needle-sharp points tapping ominously on the stage.
But the pièce de résistance was the weapon she carried. Coiled in one hand was a long, braided whip, its handle wrapped in leather, the cracker tipped with a gleaming obsidian shard.
Her hips swaying, eyes gleaming with cold intent. She prowled down the catwalk, the single spotlight following her every move.
She reached the end and stood, one hip jutted out, the whip coiled menacingly beside. She slowly ran her free hand up her side, trailing her fingers along her exposed skin, her gaze swept over the audience, intensity burning in her eyes.
