The soft morning light poured through the large glass window of the hotel room, spilling across the bed.
Lynx opened his eyes slowly. He felt completely fresh, his mind clear and his body full of power.
Beside him, Kira was still fast asleep, her face buried in the soft pillow with a peaceful smile. Her skin had a smooth, healthy shine to it.
The long night of Yin Yang energy trade had completely changed her physical foundation. The heavy fatigue that usually came after intense session was nowhere on her body.
Instead, her body was overflowing with pure energy.
Lynx sat up on the edge of the bed, being careful not to wake her. He focused his mind for a quick second, pulling up Kira’s status screen to check the results of their night together.

Kira looked at him with warm eyes, her chest rising as she took a deep breath. "Thank you, Lynx. I will not make you look bad out there today."
"I know," Lynx said. "Get dressed now. We have to move."
Lynx stood up and grabbed his dark school uniform jacket. In a flash, he used Instant Teleportation and vanished without making a single sound, reappearing right inside his own hotel room.
He fixed his shirt, checked himself in the mirror, and opened his door.
At the exact same time, Kira opened her door across the hallway. They stepped into the corridor together, making it look as if Lynx had slept in his own room all night.
They walked down to the main lobby where the other students were already waiting. The mood in the lobby was quiet and tense.
You could see the nervous looks on the faces of the first years and third year students. They were stretching their arms, checking their rings, or staring at the floor.
When Lynx and Kira walked into the room, everyone turned to look at them.
Kira looked stunning. Her hair was tied back, her skin was clear and bright, and she walked with total confidence.
Ophelia, Ava, and Lira immediately noticed the huge change in Kira. They looked at Lynx, then looked at Kira, and instant smiles popped up on their faces.
Ophelia walked over to Kira and leaned in close, whispering with a grin, "Look at you glowing. Lynx spent the night in your room, didn’t he?"
Kira’s face turned bright red, but she did not deny it. She just looked down and gave a soft nod.
Ava laughed softly, shaking her head. "I knew it. The guy just cannot rest."
Lira smiled warmly at Kira. "I can feel your aura is completely changed now. It’s stronger. That is what matters most."
Strangely, when all fifty students were finally present, the professors did not say a single word.
Professor Selene, Professor Rose, Professor Henry, Professor Jace, and Professor Mira just stood near the door.
They looked at the students, gave a firm nod together, and turned around to walk out.
Outside the hotel, a massive dark automobile was waiting. It was custom made, big enough to fit all fifty students and the five professors inside.
The driver was a quiet worker sent by the Void Empire government.
The students walked inside one by one and took their seats along the rows. The air inside the vehicle was heavy and quiet. Nobody was talking loudly.
Students were mentally focusing their mana and control over their affinities, or looking out the tinted windows as the automobile moved through the streets.
Every now and then, some students would throw Lynx quick looks. It was obvious to everyone that Lynx was their main man. Not Julian or even Eleanor.
Lynx sat near the middle with his beautiful women around him. He did not have any expression of fear or nervousness on his face like the rest.
While others were sweating, Lynx was just sitting back, casually talking to his girls, holding Kira’s hand, and making Lira laugh softly.
Seeing Lynx so relaxed helped calm the nerves of the other students a little bit.
After fifteen minutes, the automobile slowed down and stopped.
They had arrived at the Grand Central Void Arena.
Even from inside the automobile, they could hear the massive noise coming from the arena.
It was like thunder, shaking the doors of the vehicle. Outside, three other big automobiles were parked, with students from the Void Empire, Heather Empire, and Beacon Empire stepping out into their assigned pathways.
The whole area was buzzing with noise. The stadium was completely filled up.
The professors led the Aether students through a private side entrance and into a large holding room built under the stands for a final talk.
The five professors stood in front of the fifty students.
Professor Henry stepped forward first, his face hard and dark. "Listen up. This is not a regular school test. This is the big stage."
Professor Rose walked up next to him. Her usual stern look was gone, replaced by super stern cold eyes.
"The rules are simple. There are two hundred students here in total. Fifty from each of the four empires. Round 1 will cut the number down from two hundred to one hundred. That means one hundred fights total, done over ten days. Ten matches per day."
Professor Jace spoke next, his voice heavy. "Each match has a strict ten minute time limit. You win by knockout, surrender, ring out, or referee stop. If time runs out, the judges decide based on who did more damage."
Professor Mira pointed her finger at the group. "Do not worry about fighting your own teammates today. They set the table so that no two students from the same academy will fight each other in this first round. It is purely empire against empire."
Professor Selene walked to the center, her sharp blue eyes sweeping over every single student. "I want you to hear me clearly. We have not held the title of the Strongest Blessed Academy on this continent for ten long years."
She paused and continued. "Today, that changes. If you see that your opponent is too strong for you to beat easily, you do not just drop your hands! You fight like a mad person. You drag them down with you! You make them bleed for every step! Losing is not an option for any of you today!"
