Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World

Chapter 247: The Final Round

"You...!" Ourabos looked at the screens with anger, then looked at the Lord with complicated looks.

She knew exactly what he had just done. He hadn’t given them any power or physical assistance — had he done that, she would have had the ability to stop him. But instead, he had given them sufficient information to reach those powers themselves, something that was entirely permitted.

As for that giant, the Lord had helped him physically and increased his lineage’s power and level, yet she still couldn’t stop him, and that was for a single reason only — abominations don’t belong to any planet, have no homeland, and the laws that govern this planet’s creatures don’t apply to them.

Previously, had it not been for the laws the Lord had set using the Primordial Law of Order, stipulating that no one be allowed to surpass the Third Level and reach the Fourth Level except for Immortal-grade talents, the giants would have reached the Fourth Level, and even the Fifth and Sixth Levels.

Even if the world didn’t support those levels, and even if the laws prevented it, even if the laws’ power hadn’t reached that level yet, the giants would have reached those levels regardless.

And that’s because they don’t rely on laws for their progress, but instead rely on devouring everything living and saturated with energy, converting that energy into Chaos energy!

And even if the giants were killed, they would leave behind a quantity of chaotic energy that would harm the planet, but because of Ourabos’s planet’s immense size and the giants’ previously low levels, that chaotic energy hadn’t left any noticeable effect.

But now that there were no longer any restrictions confining them, or laws preventing their progress, their numbers would spread and their power would increase insanely, because of this enormous number of monsters on the Mother Continent, which were considered an excellent food resource for the giants.

And this is why they were called abominations... for wherever they appeared, they corrupted it in a way no other race ever had before, in a manner and degree no other race would ever match... and if they weren’t stopped at the right time, Ourabos herself would become the Lord’s last concern, when he takes control of her!

Ourabos gripped the top of her throne tightly, pressing down on it hard as she looked at the Lord, gritting her teeth... and after some time her expression finally calmed, and she opened her mouth "this conflict of ours has dragged on far longer than it should. What do you say we strike a new agreement!"

"Hehehehehehe, have you finally realized your standing" the Lord looked Ourabos up and down, mocking "but why should I agree to this offer of yours when things are going in..."

"Nothing is going in your favor!"

The Lord wanted to boast and hurl a few insults, but Ourabos cut him off.

"Things aren’t going in either of our favor. If I’m not easy to deal with, then the same is true, I’m not easy to deal with either. Our standing here, face to face, with neither of us having won yet, after more than a hundred thousand years since our conflict began, proves plenty" Ourabos narrowed her eyes, speaking in a sharp voice "how long will we continue like this, another hundred thousand years, two hundred thousand, three hundred thousand, a million years... matters between us will never end this way. You find a loophole, and I find a solution for it. I inflict harm on you, and you bring disasters upon me in return. If we continue like this, neither of us will gain anything, and we’ll both end up losing!"

"Ooh, have you just realized this" the Lord looked at Ourabos slyly "so what, have you finally decided to acknowledge me as your master"

"Don’t even dream of it!" Ourabos waved her hand, looking at the Lord sharply "you haven’t met my three conditions for me to acknowledge you as my master"

"Are you mocking me, you damned spirit, what could you possibly offer that would compensate me for everything you’ve stripped from me all this time, other than becoming your master and slowly reclaiming my power over the coming hundreds of centuries!" the Lord spoke in an angry tone, the gleam of his red eye intensifying further, displaying the extent of his hatred and anger.

"I’m not mocking you, and I don’t think any of this is necessary" Ourabos shook her head, speaking seriously "what do you say to this, if you can defeat me this time, I’ll grant you your complete freedom" then a sly light gleamed in her eyes "but if I win, you’ll leave me half your blood essence, in addition to a hundred symbols of the Primordial Law of Order symbols, and you can become free after that!"

The Lord’s eyes gleamed upon hearing this proposal, whether it be his freedom or becoming her master, both were the same to him, what mattered now was gaining his freedom, and he knew well she wasn’t lying, for world spirits cannot lie... but that didn’t mean she couldn’t manipulate facts and deceive!

Sacrificing half his blood essence... no problem, with enough time, lost blood essence could be recovered. But sacrificing a hundred symbols of the Primordial Law of Order symbols, that was a fragile dream!

These things couldn’t be found lying on the roadside, even if ten people possessing a lineage like Vaelor’s were sacrificed, they still wouldn’t make up for these hundred symbols!

"Agreed" the Lord nodded in agreement, and a simple smile appeared on Ourabos’s face, but she quickly scowled again.

"But if I lose, I’ll only give you a third of my blood essence, in addition to only ten symbols of the Primordial Law of Order symbols" the Lord looked at Ourabos, speaking in a serious tone "and this matter isn’t up for discussion!"

Ourabos narrowed her brows for a while, looking at him with resentment, but she gritted her teeth and finally nodded "agreed"

They had spent more than a hundred thousand years together, and they understood each other more than they’d expect, and Ourabos knew well when the Lord would back down and when he’d insist on something... and she certainly didn’t like seeing the consequences of opposing him when he insisted on something.

"So how shall we play our final round"
