Chapter 242: News
"A Vodanium ore mine has been found in the Golden Lion region. We just received word that a warrior of the Golden Lion race found that mine during one of his adventures in one of the dangerous areas of the Golden Lion region. He says the metal was extremely hard and he could not shape it no matter how hard he tried, but because of its intensely shiny black color he kept it as a souvenir. After he saw its description in the Missions Section and saw the reward for it, he quickly reported it right away. Our specialists have already gone to that mine with him. According to estimates, the pure metal we can refine from all that ore will be valued at several hundred tons at the very least!" Ayat said eagerly, and Vaelor nodded with a smile.
A single ton of that metal was enough to make many things, but several hundred tons!
Especially since this metal is one of the basic metals in building spaceships!
"The second piece of good news, Your Majesty, is the discovery of a huge area containing Celestium metal. This news came to us from the Cloud Wings region after the King of the Cloud Wings Kingdom recognized the properties of the metal in the Missions Section. But that metal is not found in the Cloud Wings region. It is found in another region!" Ayat knit her brows and spoke with some worry, because it seemed they had run into a serious dilemma this time!
"That region was discovered by the grandfather of the current King of the Cloud Wings Kingdom during his travels, and he recorded everything in several books. But the region he explored is one of the uninhabited regions, like most of the regions of the continent, and it is also one of the regions of almost certain death!"
This time it was Vaelor's turn to knit his brows, for according to what he saw in front of him on the information tablet, that region contained hundreds of millions of monsters of the Third Level, huge numbers of monsters of the Fourth Level, and even a few dozen monsters of the Fifth Level!
The moment he saw this information, Vaelor frowned deeply and leaned forward.
What is going on? Little more than a month has passed since the limits were removed from this continent. Since when did rising in level and increasing in power become this easy, like drinking water?
Vaelor's thoughts raced at tremendous speed as he wondered about the cause of these undesirable changes.
"Some of our strongest warriors have already gone to that region using the teleportation arrays, accompanied by the King of the Cloud Wings Kingdom, and they have already confirmed the accuracy of those records, but..." Ayat frowned at this point and prepared to say something that was not recorded on the information tablet.
"But shortly after they arrived, they were detected by the monsters and attacked immediately. A fierce battle broke out between our warriors and dozens of monsters of the Fourth Level, and several monsters of the Fifth Level took part in that battle too." Ayat paused for a few seconds and clenched her fist slightly. "Only a single warrior from our side survived that battle, along with the Falcon King, after they finally managed to use the teleportation array. But in return, eleven warriors from our side fell in that region at the hands of the monsters!"
Faced with this shocking news, Vaelor did not seem affected in the slightest. He stayed fixed in place looking at the information tablet and nodded toward Ayat while he was busy thinking!
And when Ayat saw this response, she continued her work right away...
"The third piece of good news, Your Majesty, is the discovery of a reservoir of Astrol ore in the Nature Forest region. That reservoir surfaced and formed a lake of Astrol ore thousands of years ago, and because of its extreme difficulty in reacting with any other substance in its raw state, it has been preserved until now." Ayat explained, and a small smile finally appeared on Vaelor's face along with some signs of surprise...
"The ancestors of the Nature Elf Kingdom had already found that lake thousands of years ago, and because they could not benefit from it, no one approached it or consumed anything from it. But they kept it secret and sealed off the area around it because of the great energy they sensed from that ore, in the hope that someone might come in the future and discover the use of this substance!" Ayat smiled instinctively at the ways life unfolds, and at how such a huge amount of Astrol had fallen into their hands while they had not put in much effort for it...
"The specialists went with the proper tools, together with King Dee, the King of the Nature Elf Kingdom, to that lake, and after inspecting it, they estimated the quantity at several tens of billions of tons of Astrol ore!"
Several tens of billions of tons at the very least!
Vaelor's surprise grew at this statement, and his happiness grew along with it. This was a suitable quantity that would last them for several coming years of heavy use... and after those years passed, they would surely discover more reservoirs of Astrol ore.
Astrol ore is always beneath the ground at deep distances estimated at hundreds of meters at the very least, and the reservoirs that contain it are tightly sealed. And the fact that this ore had come out to the surface meant that there was surely a great quantity of Astrol ore in the Nature Forest region... far greater quantities than what was visible above the surface now, and surely there were other reservoirs in that region!
And with this news, Vaelor's kingdom would finally begin its true renaissance!
They had the best craftsmen in every industry, users of the Cosmic Formation Law. They had the materials required for manufacturing, they had the techniques, they had sufficient financial support, and they had control over the entire region, so no enemy slowed them down and no wars occupied them... but what they did not have was a source of energy!
The source of energy that would power all these things. The source of energy without which most of these things would be useless.
But now that they had found it, the true renaissance would begin to appear, and the wheel of progress would begin to accelerate several times over!
"As for that person from the Golden Lion race who found the Vodanium mine, give him one hundred Prime for every ton of that metal." Vaelor leaned back, set the information tablet aside, looked at Ayat, and began giving orders. "And don't forget to film him while he is given the rewards and show that recording in all the Banks, to motivate all the warriors, explorers, and visitors, so that they also know that we do not cheat anyone out of what is due to them."
Vaelor knew that pure Vodanium metal was sold in the Eternal Night Heaven for thousands or tens of thousands of Prime even for a single ton, depending on its quality and purity, and on whether you would get a discount for buying large quantities or not. And that single ton already went into building several spaceships, in addition to several other, less valuable metals carrying the properties of the Law of Space, and other metals such as Celestium to strengthen the properties of those metals, along with other metals as well.
But Vaelor rewarded that explorer with this small price here for two reasons only.
First, because no one can benefit from this metal in this world except Vaelor's kingdom.
Second, that person only discovered the place and does not own it. As for the ownership of that place, it falls within the Golden Lion region, which by its nature belongs to Vaelor. So here he only guided them to the place and is not selling them anything he owns.
"As for the Nature Elf Kingdom and that Astrol lake, bargain with them to buy that area from them. Offer them one hundred thousand Prime at first, and the maximum for the purchase is two hundred thousand Prime. If they agree, good, and make other deals with them to search for Astrol within their kingdom's lands." Then he smiled, and a sly smile appeared on his face. "And if they don't agree, put them on the blacklist!"
"As you command, My Liege." Ayat bowed her head, obeying King Vaelor's order, but she knit her brows slightly.
The blacklist. This was the protocol put in place in case any kingdom not belonging to Vaelor dared to oppose him or oppose the Bank... No armies would move, and not even a single soldier of Vaelor's kingdom would move against that kingdom, and not a single weapon would be raised even against it. But in return, death at the hands of Vaelor's soldiers would be far more merciful and far better than what would happen to that kingdom!
