ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]

CHAPTER 140: THE LAST NIGHT EVENT I

Kael quietly sighed in relief when he got the full gist of his sister's power.

As it stood, she had the ability to forcefully break past a person's mental ability and plant a Mind Sigil, which was the basis of her class trait.

With her breakthrough into the first order, she could now establish a temporary telepathic network between herself and up to five individuals. Of course, there was a limit to the range of the network, determined by her Mind stat.

Most importantly, while she could effortlessly plant her mind control seeds in a person she overwhelmed in the Mind stat, she couldn't read their memories or their conscious thoughts.

Yet.

Kael couldn't help but marvel at the range of abilities they each possessed. If someone had told him such a thing would be possible before the apocalypse, he would have outwardly smiled in acceptance, while questioning the person's sanity in his mind.

The group communicated as they came up with ideas for their cooperation, Elena and Daniel who stood at their sides none the wiser.

Just like that, time passed.

And then, the long-awaited time came.

- CRACKLE!

Blue lightning snaked through the skies, lighting their pale faces in the dark. Thunder boomed across the region, and the dark clouds rolled as if looking forward to what was to come.

Yet, in the next moment, the thunder abruptly died away, leaving behind a suffocating silence that seemed to stretch across the entire world, as though even nature itself had fallen still in anticipation of what was about to come.

Kael didn't even realize when he held his breath, a small hope flickering in his heart that his instincts were wrong, and tonight would be just like the recent previous ones.

Unfortunately, his instincts did not fail him once again.

[Congratulations to all Awakened for living up to this point.]

He quietly read the lines of text dancing before his eyes.

[The system has recorded the continued survival and progression of the Awakened races.]

[Tonight's Night Event shall be the final Night Event.]

[The reason is simple.]

[Ten members of the Beast Race have successfully reached the Second Order.]

[The minimum requirement for the lifting of the world's initial restrictions has been fulfilled.]

A gasp of surprise rang within the group, and Kael barely took note of the fact that it came from behind him, and none of those beside him, those who had entered the system trials, reacted in such a manner.

To be honest, he himself was greatly shocked. He had expected the zombies to reach the second order first, after all, not only were they significantly ahead because of the buff they received just six hours after the apocalypse descended, it would also be easier for them to level up compared to humans who had to take their survival into consideration.

Alas, the system didn't care for his thoughts, as the messages continued.

[All Awakened are advised to take full advantage of this final Night Event.]

[After tonight, the restrictions placed upon the world shall be lifted.]

[All races shall play on the same level field.]

[All restrictions placed on beings of the land shall be raised.]

[From this point onward, the survival of each race shall depend solely on its own strength.]

[Grow stronger.]

[Evolve.]

[Survive.]

[And face the true world beyond the protection of the system.]

Kael activated Godly Focus, blue beams shooting out of his eyes. He read through the messages as carefully as possible to absorb every detail and ensure that no important information escaped his attention.

[We wish you a glorious apocalypse!]

Kael's face would have scrunched up in disgust when he reached the end of the system's messages, if it wasn't for his Mythical skill.

'Since when did the system have a sense of humor?

'What could possibly be glorious about a damn f*cking apocalypse!'

Despite the thoughts rushing through his mind, Kael's face remained flat. He raised his head just as a loud ripping sound drifted into his ears.

He was already familiar with such a sound, and sure enough, there, about a kilometer away from the main building, a crack appeared in space, the darkness within like the darkness of an endless abyss that had suddenly opened its eye, swallowing everything around it.

Sparkles of light burst beside him as his group summoned their soul weapons.

Aside from Alice, who had her soulbound weapons always on her, light of magical colors swirled around the others.

Pink light sparked before Rose in the middle of the group, and a long sniper rifle almost 2m long, with intricate runes carved on its surface, appeared in her hands. She raised the weapon as if it only weighed a feather, and rested it on her right shoulder.

Another lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating Nathan's shadow spread out beneath his feet like a spherical pool of darkness. Then two tendrils rose into the air from the darkness, two curved daggers falling from their embrace into his outstretched hands.

Crimson light flashed around Daniel, and a long dark scythe appeared in his only good hand, the scythe blade the color of blood. The characteristic metallic taste of blood spread out, the teacher flashing a small grin when he felt the heft of his partner in hand.

As for Kael, his gauntlets wrapped around his hands, while an unremarkable hilt appeared in his left hand.

A half-meter-long wooden staff with an extraordinary aura around it, hat seemed to be fashioned from a special wood, its surface covered in faint natural patterns that gave it an ancient look, appeared before the quiet Sophia. She let go of Py, who flew to Kael's side before flying a few meters above him.

Kael glared at Jinx in quiet warning. Thankfully, it seemed the little snake knew this wasn't the time to act out.

Yet, when Elena summoned her soul weapon, the eyes of everyone widened in surprise, and even the usually stoic Alice couldn't help but raise a brow, a flicker of genuine astonishment flashing on her face.
