CHAPTER 112: SO ANNOYING!
Within a wondrous space, an otherworldly sight could be seen. Dragons with different scale colors depicting the elements under their control flew across the skies. Eastern dragons, western dragons, and many more. Within the oceans, flood dragons swam, their beautiful blue scales reflecting the clear light from the sun. On the earth, creatures of titanic size roamed. Ancient Basilisks whose length stretched farther than entire mountain ranges. Beasts of reptilian blood roamed across the impossibly humongous world, their fierce roars shaking the skies and rumbling the earth.
If an observant one studied the skies, they would notice the slight movement of its surface every short while, but if one watched the world from the outside void, they would be shocked to see a world serpent coiling around the world several times.
All these mythical creatures, whose mere existence would shake star zones, mingled together without the slightest hostility.
And the reason for that could be found at the center of the world, where a mountain impossibly high stood. Only, it wasn't a mountain at all.
Two impossibly large serpents coiled around each other, one grey, the other black, with two rows of massive pointed thorns protruding down their necks to their tails. The two beasts' heads combined together at the peak to form a throne upon which a man, the only human in this space, sat.
His visage covered by a cloak, he watched as his other two children, a black-and-white-scaled serpent and a grey-and-white serpent, moved through the space bullying each of these fabled mythical creatures to his amusement. The booming sound of his laughter shook the world, his voice containing a shocking magisterial power, and the unquestionable authority of a ruler above all life.
_______
The cloaked figure stood within the void, his tattered cloak rippling without wind. His lone figure was surrounded by millions of enemies, the smallest of which was bigger than a cluster of galaxies. They had schemed and separated him from his children, and despite that, they were the ones showing fear.
A grin flashed within the shadows of the hooded cloak, and within what could not easily be measured by time, the figure moved, and a cataclysmic battle began. Planets in the far distance, measured by millions of light years, winked out, and entire galaxy clusters were erased from existence, from the mere aftershocks of this divine battle.
In what could not even be considered a split second, what remained of the array of enemies fled into the distance, their angry voices drifting into the void as they called out the name of the one they ran from, the one they feared, and the one they hated with all their guts.
"Vael'kor Nyth Azhur... The Final Silence... The Quiet Aeon... The Devourer!"
The power within the cosmic voices of these figures couldn't hide the tinge of worship hidden within.
The cloaked man laughed domineeringly as his name echoed across space and time, chanted by allies and enemies alike.
_______
Kael's mouth stretched wider than should be, his silent scream echoing only within his soul. The three serpents suddenly roared together before their cosmic bodies suddenly plunged down from the pillars. Such a sight would have sent even gods fleeing in terror.
Their impossibly large bodies pierced through space and time as they appeared before Kael's arched figure in the air and plunged back into his body through the entrances they had used before. The sight of their bodies reducing in size the further they dived into him, created a strange dissonance that would have numbed the soul of any outside observer.
Just when their tails were about to disappear completely into Kael's body, a memory silently crept into his mind.
______
Kael saw the figure of a woman whose size could only be measured in infinities, his mind not even having the capacity to process the scene before him, nor how such a sight could even be possible. He couldn't even make out any of her features and could only deduce her sex through an inexplicable certainty deep within his soul.
He saw the infinite-sized figure suddenly wrapped by thousands of serpents, and in what could only be described as mind-blowing, her infinite size was suddenly reduced into a more manageable form, despite how impossibly large she still appeared.
Then started the dance... a union of epic proportions that his mind couldn't process. He saw the two figures, the previously infinite-sized figure and the cloaked man, entwine within the endless void, the serpents coiled around the woman moving with impossible purpose. This was mating, a primal kind, that transcended common sense. It was like watching a cosmic union older than creation itself.
This memory appeared within his mind in what couldn't even be called an instant, and yet, on the outside, Kael's silent scream suddenly sounded out for the first time, filled with unimaginable pain and terror. The agonized roars of the three beasts within him suddenly intermingled with his, and with what could only be called a cataclysmic detonation, Kael's body suddenly exploded into a bloody mist.
The last scene he had seen was too high for his level of existence, too eldritch for his being, and he simply died from witnessing such blasphemy, while his soul collapsed beneath the weight of forbidden knowledge.
Everything happened so fast, the Primordial Instinct didn't even get the chance to come in.
A few tense breaths passed before a system message appeared, almost as if imprinted upon space itself, in the place Kael had occupied before.
[So annoying!]
