Chapter 70: Decisive Fate (Part 2)
[POV Hana Yoshioka]
Uaaaaaa.
Hana watched her wounded big brother in pain. She'd seen how dishonorably they'd attacked him from behind while he was fighting off several heroes. So contemptible. But it didn't matter...
Light flooded the little girl's eye sockets as she ignored her frozen-in-terror older relative and the Nomu swinging its claw at them. The outcome was already predetermined.
The outlines of the surrounding world flickered. Small girl's hands lowered onto the dying boy's body. But the wielder of "Unmei no Rain" was focused on something else. In the darkened, blurred world around her, she saw a thinning, trembling bright red line. Nearby, a pink line and a sickeningly green line writhed. Ignoring the monster's green line, driven mad by possessing multiple Quirks, the younger Yoshioka grabbed the pink one. And pulled it toward the red line. Feeling the growing weight, she focused on her own pale gray line.
"*Line of Fate: Weaving.* "
In the dimension only one little girl could see, three lines began to intertwine. Her immature consciousness, barely handling the strain of frequent Quirk use, was flooded with the life images of the two older people. But as Hana Yoshioka lost consciousness under the onslaught of foreign lives and memories, she didn't worry. Because she saw her big brother's darkness bursting forth.
The frozen Ayame, watching the descending Nomu limb, could only clutch the hand of the boy who'd become such a vital part of her life. The next moment, she shuddered from a sudden feeling of closeness, even kinship. At the same time, prominences of darkness with violet undertones gushed from the boy's body. Spinning in a peculiar dance, vaguely reminiscent of flaming petals of blazing fire, they intercepted the Nomu's strike.
"UAAAAAA!"
The monster, its limb rapidly decaying, tried to jump back, but the Dark Matter tendrils already wrapped around it. The creature's death scream drowned in the dark matter. Mesmerized, watching this, the older Yoshioka breathed heavily, not noticing her hair beginning to take on a crimson hue, as power awakened within her. That widespread, yet so unexplored power of this world.

Inhale.
I snapped my eyes open and stared up with a half-crazed look. My senses from my body and Dark Matter were in complete chaos and contradiction, making it hard to immediately grasp where I was. I felt discomfort in my chest area, and from my spatial awareness, I somehow seemed to be in three places at once! Had I been split into three little Ticci Miccs?
"Ken?"
I focused my gaze on the owner of that familiar voice. Sitting nearby, looking somewhat lost, was Ayame, whose hair now shimmered crimson. Had she dyed it? Her eyes looked more like mine now, too. A stifled groan came from nearby. I finally noticed Hana, unconscious, clinging to my arm. My arm with the sleeve and ribbons from my villain costume. Damn it.
"I can explain everyth—kkh."
"No, Ken, don't talk..."
The girl said, dazed, her eyes wide as she watched me pull the annoying piece of metal out of my chest. Then I finally noticed the size of that piece of metal and remembered how it got there. And I froze. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. I was going to bleed out right now! Why? Why? Why did I have to die so stupidly? I threw the metal away with a sense of disbelief and despair, and put my hand on my chest.
"Huh?"
"Huh?"
Ayame and I stared at the Dark Matter closing my wound and quickly starting to resemble my skin. After a few seconds of silence, there was no wound on my chest. I swore involuntarily.
"Holy s**t."
Then a woman's palm slapped my face. Then the older Yoshioka pressed herself tightly against my chest. Quiet sobs reached my ears, and my already-ruined shirt began to get wet. With something like bewilderment, I hugged the girl, who now felt like a part of me. Just like Hana, lying nearby. And there we lay, the three of us, on the cold, dirty concrete of the sewer. How. Did. Everything. Come. TO THIS?
In response to my emotions, miasma of Dark Matter began to seep from my body. Hastily forcing it back inside, I tried to understand. What was that? Dark Matter, which usually left my body with difficulty even in the Form of Noah, only with a clear command and desire, had now emerged from a simple, brief, hysterical burst of emotion. Focusing on my power, I began to realize something. Control over Dark Matter had become... no different from moving my hand. I didn't need to concentrate, imagine a mental image, and force Dark Matter to move according to that image. Just as a person doesn't need to imagine specific muscles contracting to move their hand, I no longer needed to. A tendril of dark, violet-tinged color stretched from my hand and, following my thought, took the shape of a cross, a triangle, a hexagram...
"Why did you become a villain?"
The question from the girl, who'd stopped sobbing, made me stop this engrossing activity. Guilt arose in my mind. Here my loved ones were worried, in a bad state, and I was playing with a new "skill." I focused completely on Ayame.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? What about Hana?"
"I'm fine. And don't change the subject!"
"Let's talk somewhere better."
Convinced there were no injuries on the fairer sex, I abruptly lifted my body off the ground using Dark Matter tendrils that dug into the floor. The girl squealed briefly and clung tighter to me, and both beauties, the younger and the older, ended up in my arms. For safety, several Dark Matter tendrils gently and carefully wrapped around them, not trying to absorb or destroy them. I looked around, trying to figure out where I was using my Gaze, whose radius had increased.
"The manhole is that way, and my car is next to it."
The girl with the now-crimson hair pointed, not even thinking of leaving my arms. I nodded and headed toward the sewer exit. My consciousness was fully focused on protecting my loved ones and looking for unwanted witnesses. Any found would quickly become non-living. During the few minutes of walking, no one spoke. Hana, who'd been wincing and quietly moaning in pain, began to snore softly, but my worry for her eased only slightly. Somehow, I knew she was okay now. I wondered why? Questions. Questions. Questions. All of them would have to wait. First, I had to ensure the safety of my precious bonds.
I stopped before the ladder leading to the manhole and considered the best way to reach the car. I definitely didn't look fit for a walk among people right now. Someone in a nearby apartment window might see me. The older Yoshioka had already started to pull her hands off me, clearly intending to walk to the car herself, but I decided to do it my way. Becoming invisible with Choice, which no longer "malfunctioned" when touching other people's bodies, I simply climbed up using Dark Matter tendrils, which were also invisible, for lift. So people would see two girls flying through the air. And? Telekinesis and levitation Quirks exist. And with all the chaos in Kamino right now, few would notice a Quirk being used in public. If they did, I could pay the fine myself. I didn't earn all that money for nothing.
I carefully settled Hana in the back seat, then sat down next to her. Fatigue washed over my consciousness, though my body, surprisingly, felt no fatigue or pain from the now-healed wounds. I looked thoughtfully at Hana. Her red silhouette, smelling of camellia, was slowly becoming brighter. What had happened while I was unconscious? Another question among a pile of others.
/I keep examples from outside,
Doubly fate.
What should I do?/
(I think everyone will guess where this opening is from)
A melody played from Ayame's pocket. I looked in surprise at the girl who'd answered her phone. I didn't even know she liked the same band as me.
"Hello."
"Did you find Ken?"
I froze at the sound of that familiar voice. I looked pleadingly at Yoshioka, shaking my head. I needed time to clean myself up and come up with a plausible excuse for my absence. Ayame smirked.
"Yes, Mei, he's with me now."
"Put him on."
Damn it. Damn it. Damn it.

[POV from the outside]
The black limousine stopped at the entrance to the Tosaka family estate, which had only recently been fully restored after the villain's attack. A procession greeted the arriving guests, led by three people. The two heiresses of the Elite Family and the blonde woman in a maid's uniform, on whose face fading bruises were barely concealed by makeup.
"The Tosaka family welcomes the leader of HYDRA, Weiss-san."
They bowed to the man exiting the car. Dressed in a black-gray classic suit, the pale-skinned man removed his black glasses with an elegant motion. His hands, clad in crimson gloves, carefully folded the glasses into a leather case. Dim amber eyes on a barely smiling face examined the greeters.
"Nice to meet you, young heiresses of the Tosaka Elite Family, even under such unfortunate circumstances."
The blonde maid gritted her teeth. The head of HYDRA took a long, drawn-in breath, half-closing his eyes.
"How long it's been since I last set foot in the land of the rising sun. By the way, Agnes, did you know that your father once lived here and even had a family? It would be funny if that boy turned out to be your 'big brother.'"
The chestnut-haired girl who'd followed the man out remained silent. It was impossible to discern emotion in her crimson irises against their black sclera. Adam Weiss smirked.
