Arc 13: Chapter 15
The Treading Earth was a vast being of earth and stone, akin to a small island that had sprung up from the ocean, growing legs to walk onto land. Amidst the earth, there were strange violet growths, as though fingers emerged from within and wove around the limbs.
It was slowly stomping towards them, but already Song Ming was shuddering at the sight of it. Bianca took her hand, holding it firmly, and that helped calmed her down a little, but it still seemed like she had quite the experience with a thing like this back in the day.
Luckily for them, they were not alone. They hadn’t yet gone far from the territory of the Calm Skies, and while they weren’t provoking the attention of the sect on their own, the Treading Earth was a foreign presence intruding on their lands, and was filled with the remnant energy of the Breach archetype.
No sect could ignore it… and nor could anyone that was interested in furthering their archetype.
Almost simultaneously, they saw two groups emerge above, one seemingly just standing in the calm sky, and the other, a single person, coming from the direction of the Exarch’s forces…
“Mistress, we should get out of here while we still can,” Long Shiyi said, “They will distract one another – especially Jun Jie, he won’t allow this chance to escape him – for some time, but afterwards, they will turn on us. Against one or the other, we would be able to win, but not with both of them present.”
“I don’t exactly want to be sitting around and watching anyway. Let’s go!”
In the skies above, the group from the Calm Skies looked over the situation. They saw a small group of people fleeing the Treading Earth, but their attention quickly focused on the man that had emerged at the same time as they had, and one that was easy to recognise.
“Jun Jie, this is not your Exarch’s territory! Leave before we force you to do so!”
“Only after I claim the energy within that Treading Earth. Until then, run off, cowards.”
“Watch your words!”
Together, the members of the Calm Skies Sect lifted a hand, their energy unleashing into a field around them. It turned the air around them calm, and with the next countless sabres manifested, each one made of wispy white energy, seemingly composed of the remnants of clouds.
Despite that, each carried the power of the fourth realm at the lowest, the product of the Layer of Sabre Clouds skill. Each one of them was able to form a hundred weapons alone, and together, their energy entwined to produce almost a thousand, all packed closely together, almost forming a sheet of sabres.
Jun Jie didn’t respond with words, but action. All of a sudden, an opening within the world enabled a vast hand to reach out from beneath the Calm Skies cultivators, grabbing at the sabres and cultivators alike.
“Strike it down!” the leader of the Calm Skies group called out, and their sabres moved together, turning downward and striking at the vast hand before it could reach them.
They all slashed at the hand, but the majority shattered on collision, only a few managing to pierce through the thick ‘skin’ of the planar construct. Still, it was enough to damage the construct and delay it for a moment as they flew up higher, conjuring another sheet of sabres, first one then a dozen, then a hundred, clinging closely together, a massive concentration of energy.
Although they dodged the first hand, it just led them closer to a breach that suddenly opened up within the sky, fingers pulling the very air apart and spreading violet throughout while peculiar creatures began to crawl in through the rift.
At the same time, Jun Jie reached out and manifested another hand behind them, a vast grasping extremity that bore a vast amount of power within it.
The Calm Skies disciples were clearly surprised, having never confronted someone using the Breach archetype, but they still replied to the attacks in kind, splitting the countless sheets of sabres into two groups, the majority heading for the enormous hand again, and the minority went towards the open rift in the sky.
Together, both of them struck at once, unleashing more force than last time, as though every single one performed a skill of its own in perfect harmony with every other sabre.
At the same time all of the fifth realm disciples raised their hands into the air, channelling a vast amount of energy into the distant clouds above.
For a moment, there was only silence, but then the clouds above suddenly began to crumble down, pieces of them turning into sabres, countless sabres, crumbling down in a rain of death and destruction. They were able to cover the entire battlefield, but the majority of them were raining down on Jun Jie directly, and even when he attempted to move away with a breach, they simply followed, and yet more were conjured up above.
Sabre Skies was a signature skill of the Calm Skies Sect, and with several disciples using it at once, they were able to completely flood the battlefield with their constructs, raining them down more quickly than any rifts Jun Jie could summon.
Thus, he was forced into a retreat, but the Calm Skies disciples weren’t going to simply leave him be, not without a fight. All together, they reached forth and suddenly flew forth, as though became part of the rain of sabres, flying at the same pace towards the Breach cultivator.
All the while, they paid little attention to the small group escaping down below, able to do so thanks to the stray sabres crashing down distracting the Treading Earth.
“Fuck me, that’s so many weapons!” Bianca had to dodge aside as yet another stray blade ended up crashing down beside them, quickly fading away into raw planar energy.
“That’s the Calm Skies for you,” Xue Yaling was calmer, only making minimal movements to escape the sabres, “They’re fond of flooding the skies with these, and occasionally they will end up going astray and hitting things they shouldn’t. On one hand, it’s an added danger for us, on the other, it’s attracting the attention of the Treading Earth.”
Indeed, as soon as the first set of sabres hit, the enormous walking island was already attracted towards the fight, but as they continued, it ensured that they were left alone in their escape.
At this point, their priority was simply to flee and get away, so they did exactly that, running and running…
For a moment, during their lengthy sprint, Bianca couldn’t help but think about her current reality, about constantly having to run away from trouble. It made her rather frustrated, but she restrained herself from turning around and trying to kill the Treading Earth on her own. While her powers could be greatly amplified by her emotions, she doubted that it would make the necessary difference in this case.
However, it only amplified her determination to finally make something of herself once they get back to the Reaper’s Grave – and to finally give it a new name, it wasn’t right that her Demoness Sect resided in some other faction’s home.
She would make people fear and respect her name, and that of her faction. She would ensure that even a thousand years from now – a vast figure for her, but apparently on the smaller side for this world – everyone knew not to cross someone from the Demoness Sect. If she was lucky, perhaps that legacy would continue on for ten thousand years, or hundreds of thousands…
If her legacy was to last that long, she’d hope it were a good one, though what that meant was debatable in and of itself. Ensuring that she was a name to be feared forevermore was certainly an interesting prospect, though having the sect be so far above the others that it must be respected was also a pleasant outcome.
Regardless, for the moment, she just ran.
This time around, Bianca was able to keep running a lot longer, and together, they escaped the area, leaving the fighting and Treading Earth behind them. They couldn’t see how the conflict ended, but it was none of their business anyway.
No, they had something else to worry about, which was the town on the horizon. Song Village turned out to be a lot closer than expected when running like mad, to the point that even Bianca’s resilient body was utterly drenched in sweat, making everything other than the Weave cling to her body – the Weave did that regardless.
Song Ming was no better, blonde strands of her hair clinging to her face, her skimpy outfit turning practically transparent, giving Bianca a gorgeous sight of her pet’s huge tits and ass. For the kitsune, only her tail and fluffy ears were dry… though the temptation to use that tail to dry herself was quite strong, or to grab it and just fuck her ass until she was satisfied…
And her temptations didn’t fade away as she turned her attention to Huang Su. The gorgeous false phoenix was a little less exhausted than the others, but even the slightest bit of sweat was enough to make her look so fucking sexy…
Long Shiyi was the lone exception, as the dragon was incredibly physically fit, similar to Han Rushu. She only had a faint layer of sweat on her skin, making her body shine in the setting sun, making the prospect of licking her abs and properly tasting her so enticing…
‘Fuck, this is what I get for not using my pet regularly.’
It wasn’t too bad, though, as they were about to arrive in a town. Places like this were typically lower realm than the sects, so they would be relatively safe, and then all they’d have to do would be to relax and pass the time in peace.
And yet, that very notion somehow felt far less certain and reliable than she wanted to. The way her luck tended to go, she often ran into unexpected circumstances and surprises, ones that were typically frustrating in the moment but ultimately advantageous… so, if that was to keep happening, would Song Village have the same circumstance?
“Can any of you sense anything from that place? Just in case.”
“I cannot sense anything exceptional, Mistress,” Huang Su shook her head, quietly wiping some sweat from her brow with the back of her hand.
“… I think there’s a necromantic presence in the area, but I cannot confirm if it is simply the influence of the Soul-Binding Monolith, or a sign of activity in Song Village itself,” Long Shiyi disagreed, “I’ve been far too occupied with resolving the Exarch threat to the south, so I hadn’t been looking into the necromancers… but I wouldn’t put it past them.”
“Incidentally… nah, too tired for that… fine, let’s just go in there and see what happens. Surely it’ll be fine, right?”
“You don’t actually believe that, do you?” the dragon shook her head, “The more you let down your guard, the more likely something is to take advantage of it. It’s an inevitability of life.”
“I’d just like a rest… and for you lot to stop being right. Imagine if we could just freely walk down to the Reaper’s- oh, that’s right, this came to mind earlier. We need a better name for that place, one that reflects our sect, rather than that of the Reapers.”
“Oh, am I a part of the sect now?”
“The stress relief fucktoy, yes,” Bianca rolled her eyes, “Just exclusive to me, of course.”
“Really, this isn’t necessary, I have no intention of turning on the one that both defeated me, nor the one keeping me from death.”
“Stop being so hot, then. If you weren’t tempting me to fuck your ass, I wouldn’t be thinking about it all the time.”
“I… That is interesting reasoning, Mistress.”
“Yeah, well, shut up. Fine, we’ll go in and be on guard, and if nothing goes wrong at that point, then we can relax, and I can fuck your ass. Hard. Better?”
“If you insist, but you do have your very own pet right there, do you not?”
“Yeah, so what? She’s got no issues with me using other bitches, right, whore?” Bianca turned to Song Ming, who looked like she was about to cum from the very form of address Bianca chose.
“Y-Yes, Mistress! I would love to see you breed hundreds of women!”
“After finally breeding you?”
“Yes! Please, I want to bear your child, Mistress, I’ve wanted it for so long, I just need it!”
“I know, I know, dear. The moment we figure out how to make that happen, I’ll knock you up with triplets.”
“Yay! Thank you, thank you, Mistress! I love you!”
Long Shiyi blinked, “She is easily pleased, isn’t she.”
“Yeah, unlike some of you. I’m only saving your life, and you insist on being all fussy when I say that I want to use you like a toy. Hmph, the ingratitude at display.”
The dragon didn’t bother replying to her, though her expression suggested she was questioning how life ended up taking her here.
That was none of Bianca’s business, however, and so she just returned her attention to Song Village, a large town that looked to be more advanced than the shoddiest buildings she’d seen, but definitely not as grand as the structures of the Reaper’s Grave had once been. They were primarily stone in the foundation, logs and proper boards for the walls… it looked like a proper place to reside in, and so Bianca wasn’t particularly concerned about that aspect, at the very least.
“Well… let’s move along. If we spend too long discussing sex, I’ll get too hard to walk.”
“You don’t have your cock our, Mistress.”
“No, but I will. Also, honestly, I had no clue it wasn’t… you know, if you’d asked me whether I would want a cock about a year ago, I’d have called you insane.”
“I can call you insane right now, if you wish, Sect Mistress,” the kitsune offered up with a smirk, “But genuinely, if you keep summing it, you’ll get used to it. I’ve only summoned one a few times, and I can feel weird when I reach down and don’t feel it down there.”
“Hmph, youth,” Long Shiyi seemed to almost be amused by them.
“What? Oh, right, since you’re a dragon, you can summon and remove a cock for yourself, so…”
“Indeed. When I was younger, and there were more dragons openly present in our world, it would be common for us to clash in the skies, and the one to lose would remove their dick and be fucked by the winner,” the dragon reminisced, “It was all good fun, really.”
“Was it necessary to do that? Did the other dragons not like the sight of it?”
“It was just a sign of submission, really. If you kept it, it would seem like you still wanted to compete during sex, and then that’d change the whole encounter.”
Xue Yaling looked at the dragon with a strange expression, “It sounds like the dragons just spent all their time thinking about sex.”
“What better things could we have been doing? Humans made for fun partners, but they often needed quite a bit of stretching before we’d actually fit… for other dragons, however, we could get right into the fun,” Long Shiyi said fondly, glancing down, “Not that I’d be able to fuck anyone like this… but at the same time, it’d definitely work in convincing the other dragons that I was accepting being fucked.”
“As you should be, my dear dragon. You will get fucked, and you will learn to enjoy that as the only way you have sex.”
“… I can’t help but wonder if you’ve had some rather bad influences in your life, Mistress.”
Bianca turned to the kitsune, saying nothing, but the meaning was more than obvious.
“Rude.”
“You deserve it, you bitch.”
“Yeah right, cunt…”
