AnimeMan: The 13th Princess’s Overpowered Servant

Chapter : 627

Chapter : 627

He swallowed his food. He crumpled the empty potato chip bag into a small ball. He tossed it lazily into a nearby puddle. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He prepared to stand up.

He needed a plan. He needed to break the dark dome. But he could not use a flashy spell. He could not summon a giant dragon. The entire room was full of people. Sayma would see him. Laxmi would see him. The 4th Unit would see him. He had to keep his secret safe. He had to look like a complete slacker.

"I need a very subtle, totally accidental solution," Ken thought. He searched his pockets. His fingers brushed against a small, round object.

He pulled his hand out. He looked at his palm. He held a simple, ordinary copper coin. It was just a piece of pocket change. He got it from a street vendor a few days ago.

A massive, goofy smile spread across Ken's face.

"This will work perfectly," Ken smiled lazily. "It is time to execute a flawless tactical stumble. I am going to drop some loose change. It is a very common mistake."

---

Ken Eliot held the ordinary copper coin in his hand. He looked at the dull metal. It did not look special. It looked like a boring piece of money.

He closed his sleepy dark eyes for a fraction of a millisecond.

He tapped into his boundless, god-like magical reserves. He did not chant a single word. He did not make his hands glow. He kept his magic completely hidden. He channeled a massive, overwhelming amount of pure light mana. He pushed the pure energy directly into the small copper coin.

He compressed the magic tightly. He squeezed the radiant energy into the metal. The coin absorbed the immense power. It became a vessel for an apocalyptic amount of light. It felt exactly like holding a tiny, concentrated sun. But it still looked like a boring, dirty coin.

"Anime logic dictates a very simple rule," Ken analyzed casually in his mind. "Darkness always loses to pure light. It is basic elemental weakness. The assassin uses shadows. I just need to turn on a very bright flashlight. It will shatter his edgy domain instantly."

Ken opened his eyes. He slouched his shoulders as far as they could possibly go. He stepped away from his safe stone pillar.

He walked right into the chaotic battlefield.

He dragged his cheap shoes on the wet marble floor. Scuff. Scuff. Scuff. His white shirt flapped loosely over his belt. He looked completely out of place. He walked right past a struggling aquatic golem. He ignored a 4th Unit soldier swinging a broadsword. He acted completely oblivious to the massive danger around him.

"Hey guys," Ken mumbled lazily. He walked toward the center of the room. He aimed his path directly at the massive pitch-black dome. "This floor is incredibly slippery. Someone really needs to bring a mop. It is a massive safety violation."

Laxmi turned her head. She saw Ken walking into the open. Her golden eyes widened in shock.

"Ken! Get back!" Laxmi yelled loudly. She threw a fireball at a charging guard. "It is too dangerous out here! You do not have a weapon!"

"I am just stretching my legs!" Ken called back playfully. He gave her a goofy wave. "Sitting on rocks makes my back stiff. I need to do some light walking. Doctors recommend walking."

Sayma pushed her glasses up frantically. "Ken! Return to the perimeter immediately! You are entirely unprotected!"

"I am very agile," Ken lied smoothly.

He reached the edge of the pitch-black dome. The dark magic swirled like thick ink. It looked incredibly intimidating. The air around the dome felt freezing cold.

Ken put on his absolute best acting performance.

He took another step forward. He intentionally placed his foot directly onto a wet, slippery patch of moss. He shifted his weight entirely to the wrong side. He threw his arms wildly into the air. He let his legs fly out from under him.

"Whoops!" Ken shouted loudly. His voice cracked with fake, highly exaggerated panic.

He performed a spectacular, completely ridiculous, clumsy dive. He tumbled forward through the air. He flailed his limbs like a terrified cartoon character. He looked like an absolute fool.

"Ahhhh! A ghost crab grabbed my ankle!" Ken shrieked at the top of his lungs. "I am falling! The floor betrayed me! Save the snacks!"

He crashed heavily onto the wet marble floor. He slid across the smooth stones. He slid right up to the very base of the massive black dome. He landed on his stomach. He groaned dramatically.

As he hit the ground, Ken opened his right hand.

He tossed the charged copper coin.

The toss looked like a complete accident. It looked like he simply dropped his pocket change during a clumsy fall.

The dull copper coin flew through the air. It hit the wet marble floor right at the base of the pitch-black barrier.

Clink.

The sound was very small. It was very quiet. But the magical reaction was absolutely instantaneous.

The coin released its compressed energy.

A blinding, brilliant explosion of pure white light erupted from the tiny coin. The light was absolutely magnificent. It did not create a fiery blast. It did not create a shockwave. It just created pure, unadulterated radiance.

The white light washed over the pitch-black dome. The radiant energy crashed into the dark magic. The elements collided violently.

The shadow domain could not withstand the immense, god-like power. The pure light pierced straight through the thick, inky walls. The dark magic sizzled loudly. It sounded like water hitting a hot frying pan.

CRACK!

A massive, jagged crack appeared on the surface of the black dome. The crack spread rapidly. It spider-webbed across the entire sphere in a fraction of a second. Bright white light poured out of the cracks. The dark magic groaned under the overwhelming pressure.

With a final, deafening shattering sound, the entire Shadow Domain exploded.

It shattered exactly like a giant glass Christmas ornament. Millions of tiny, black shards flew into the air. The shards instantly evaporated into harmless gray mist. The darkness was completely, utterly erased from the room.

The blinding white light flooded the entire underground chamber. The light was so bright it washed out the shadows in every single corner. The aquatic golems hissed in pain. The 4th Unit guards covered their eyes. Sayma shielded her face with her arms. Laxmi squinted against the brilliant flash.

The light slowly faded away. The room returned to its normal, dim illumination.

The black dome was entirely gone. The center of the room was completely visible again.

Princess Iris and Naomi stood in the exact spot where the dome used to be. They looked exhausted. Naomi held her twin silver daggers. She breathed very fast. Sweat rolled down her face. A small cut marked her shoulder. Princess Iris held her silver rapier. She looked perfectly determined.
