Chapter 51. I’m Not Letting Go
From Ren’s perspective.
Damn.
This was too easy.
I thought Yuki would figure it out. After everything that happened, after I broke Momo right in front of her with one strike, I was sure she would at least wonder for a second: “Why is he so confident doing all this? Why do they listen to him like he’s their owner?”
But she looked at me with eyes full of shock, arousal… and gratitude.
No suspicion.
Not yet.
What happened with Momo was ugly.
I really did promise them freedom once they played their part.
But the moment I saw her cum and piss herself from a single punch to the uterus, it became obvious — I wasn’t letting this one go.
She was dependent now.
Not just emotionally.
On a physical level.
Without this level of pain and pleasure, she wouldn’t be able to function normally anymore.
And if I could break one… why not take all three?
It would be easier to get to Nana and Suzu through Momo.
They were still clinging to their boyfriends, to their “normal” lives.
But once they saw their friend walking behind me like an obedient little bitch… curiosity would do the rest.
And then I could go further.
Make them dependent on my cock while still keeping their boyfriends.
Let those guys carry their purses and raise their children. And I would come whenever I wanted and fuck them in ways their “normal” boyfriends would never be able to.
I was a little surprised by my own thoughts.
But only for a second.
They had already become a part of me a long time ago.
I could pretend to be calm and reasonable for as long as I wanted. I could say the right words, protect the weak, and act like I was guided purely by justice.
But deep down, I remained a hypocrite.
The moment I loosened my control, my real instincts took over immediately.
I didn’t just want to change the original plot.
I wanted to trample it.
To subjugate even those who were previously considered secondary characters.
To make sure that not a single important figure in this story could exist independently of me anymore.
A dangerous desire.
But I would deal with it later.
Right now, something else was more important.
— Yuki, let’s go.
I slowly turned my gaze to Hayato.
It seemed this idiot had finally decided to bury himself completely.
He stood there, holding his hand out to Yuki, looking at her like he still had the right to take her away from here.
Like after everything that had happened, he could just say “Let’s go” and she would obediently follow him.
He probably thought it looked noble in his head.
He had finally gathered the courage.
Decided to protect his girl.
Too late.
And so late that any action from him now looked like a pathetic attempt to save what little dignity he had left.
Yuki looked at his outstretched hand.
Before, there would probably have been relief on her face.
Now there was only tiredness.
Hayato noticed it too.
His fingers twitched slightly.
— Yuki…
She didn’t answer.
So he looked at me.
There was finally anger in his eyes.
Convenient.
It was much easier for him to get angry at me than to admit his own helplessness.
— You’re not normal, — he forced out. — What you did… that’s not helping.
I looked at him in silence for a few seconds.
— And what did you do?
Hayato froze.
Of course, there was no answer.
I took a step toward him.
He tensed up but didn’t step back.
At least something.
— She brought you here because she asked for help, — I said. — Not with words. Because she couldn’t say it directly.
Hayato frowned.
— What are you talking about?..
— You looked her in the face. Heard her voice. Saw how she was behaving. And you didn’t notice anything.
His anger started to fade.
Confusion took its place.
And then fear.
He slowly turned to Yuki.
She looked away.
That was enough.
Hayato went pale.
— I… didn’t know.
Of course.
The most convenient excuse.
— Yuki didn’t tell me anything, — he continued. — How was I supposed to understand?
I felt irritation rising inside me.
— Enough with the pathetic excuses.
He looked at me again.
— What?
— Enough with the pathetic excuses. You’re a man. You should have protected your girlfriend. Instead, you sat there red-faced with other people’s hands down your pants, letting them do whatever they wanted to you while she watched.
Hayato clenched his fists.
— I was confused.
— She was confused too.
— I didn’t understand how serious everything was!
— And you were only supposed to understand after someone else solved the problem for you?
He flinched.
Got him.
Yuki finally raised her head.
Her eyes were red, but there were no more tears.
She looked at Hayato calmly.
Too calmly.
That was how people usually looked at someone they no longer expected anything from.
Hayato felt it too.
— Yuki, listen…
He reached out to her again.
She stepped back.
Just half a step.
But it was enough.
Hayato froze like she had hit him.
— I tried, — she said quietly after a long silence.
Hayato frowned.
— When?
She looked him straight in the eyes.
— This whole time.
He opened his mouth.
But Yuki didn’t let him speak.
— I wasn’t waiting for you to beat them up… — Her voice was quiet. Almost colorless. — I didn’t want you to fight. I didn’t want you to put yourself at risk.
She clenched her fingers.
— I just wanted you to notice that I was scared.
Hayato went even paler.
— Yuki…
— But you didn’t notice.
— Now I understand.
Something changed in her eyes.
Not anger.
Disappointment.
Much worse.
— Now, — she repeated. — After someone explained everything to you.
— I can fix this.
— You can.
Hayato seemed to come back to life.
But the next sentence killed his hope again:
— Just not today.
— What does that mean?
Yuki looked at his outstretched hand.
Then at me.
Just for a moment.
But I noticed.
And Hayato did too.
— I’m not going with you, — she said.
— Yuki, we need to talk.
— We already talked.
— No. You were silent.
She smiled bitterly.
— That’s the problem, Hayato.
He froze.
— You only hear me when I speak directly. And when I can’t… it’s like I don’t exist to you.
For a few seconds, no one said anything.
The wind moved through Yuki’s hair.
Hayato stood in front of her, clenching and unclenching his fingers.
He still seemed to be searching for the right words.
But some things couldn’t be fixed with words anymore.
Finally, he looked at me.
— Is this what you wanted?
Interesting question.
I could have lied.
I could have said I didn’t care.
That I was just helping Yuki.
That their relationship had nothing to do with me.
I would have answered that way before.
But for some reason, I didn’t want to now.
— No, — I said. — You did this yourself.
Hayato jerked like I had hit him.
After that, he didn’t say anything else.
He only looked at Yuki.
Waiting.
Maybe hoping she would stop him.
She didn’t.
Hayato turned around and walked toward the exit from the roof.
His footsteps sounded too loud.
The door closed.
We were left alone.
I looked at Yuki.
She was still staring at the door.
— Do you regret it? — I asked.
Yuki didn’t answer right away.
Then she slowly shook her head.
— I don’t know.
Honestly.
She was always too honest when she stopped being afraid.
I stepped closer.
— Phone.
Yuki flinched, as if she had only just remembered she was still holding it.
She turned off the camera and held the device out to me.
But she didn’t let go.
Our fingers touched.
She looked down at my hand.
I barely held back a smile.
— Something wrong?
— No.
Too fast.
— Liar.
Yuki frowned.
— Are you always this annoying?
— Only around you.
She looked at my hand again.
Then asked quietly:
— Are you really going to take Momo for yourself?
I paused.
So that’s what was bothering her.
— Jealous?
— No.
— Second lie in the last ten seconds.
Yuki sharply pulled her hand away.
— I’m not jealous!
— Then why are you asking?
She turned away.
Her ears were red.
— You just… hugged her.
I didn’t say anything.
— And stroked her hair, — she added even quieter.
Something stirred inside me.
A dangerously pleasant feeling.
— You were watching very carefully.
— I was recording!
— Of course.
Yuki sharply turned back to me.
— And anyway… why were you smiling at her like that?
I slowly leaned closer.
— Like what?
She stepped back.
— You know how.
— I don’t.
— Kindly.
I thought about whether I should keep teasing her.
I should.
But she had already been through enough today.
— I needed to calm her down and make the others submit.
Yuki looked at me carefully.
— So all of that was just an act?
— Not all of it.
She froze.
— Then what wasn’t an act?
I looked her straight in the eyes.
— The part where I came because of you.
For a few seconds, Yuki stopped breathing.
Then she suddenly grabbed my shirt.
— Then why did you leave me?
There it was.
Not Hayato.
Not Momo.
Not the blackmail.
This was the question that had been sitting inside her the whole time.
I looked away.
— Because you chose him.
— And because of that you decided I didn’t need you anymore?
— I decided I shouldn’t interfere.
Her fingers gripped the fabric tighter.
— And I decided that I had become unimportant to you.
— That’s stupid.
— Then say it.
I looked at her again.
There were tears shining in Yuki’s eyes.
— Say that I’m not unimportant to you.
A simple request.
Why was it so hard to answer?
I could lie to anyone.
I could pretend.
Manipulate people.
Predict their reactions.
But next to her, all that confidence disappeared somewhere.
— You were never unimportant to me, — I said quietly.
Yuki closed her eyes.
Then she pressed herself against me.
Just buried her face in my chest and froze.
I felt her shoulders trembling.
I raised my hand.
But stopped.
She noticed.
— Stroke my hair.
— What?
Yuki clutched my shirt even tighter.
— You stroked hers.
She looked up at me with wet eyes.
— Now stroke mine.
I placed my palm on her head.
Slowly ran it through her hair.
Yuki exhaled.
And pressed herself even closer.
— That’s right, — she whispered.
I pulled her closer to me.
Yuki was so small and fragile in my arms that it almost felt wrong.
But her large, firm breasts pressed tightly against my chest immediately destroyed that image of an innocent girl.
She was no longer the quiet, frightened Yuki she had been at the beginning.
And at the same time — still not the version of her I wanted to see.
For a few seconds she simply stood there, face buried in my chest.
I could feel her breathing.
Gradually, it became calmer.
— Well then, — I said, — shall we continue our training today?
Yuki froze.
She squirmed a little in my arms, pressing her face harder into my chest, and muttered something quietly.
The words were unclear, but I felt her fingers tighten on my shirt.
Smack.
I sharply, but not too hard, slapped her on the back, right between her shoulder blades.
Yuki’s whole body jerked, and she let out a quiet but very telling moan.
Not from pain.
From something else.
— Remember this, — I said calmly, still holding her tightly against me.
— From now on, you won’t get rid of me so easily. I’m going to teach you how to be a better version of yourself. And you’ll be under my protection again. You’ll be able to become that cheerful Yuki you used to be.
She didn’t answer right away.
She simply wiped her face against my shirt, then hugged me even tighter.
When she finally lifted her head, there were no longer only tears in her eyes.
There was confidence now.
And arousal.
— I hope you prepared a proper costume and lesson… — she said quietly. Her voice trembled slightly, but there was no longer the previous helplessness in it.
I smirked.
— After this lesson, you’ll be able to break through your last limits. And finally understand what you actually want.
Yuki looked me straight in the eyes.
And unexpectedly smiled.
A real smile.
— You can feel my confusion, — she whispered.
— You know exactly what to say. And you know that I’m already… dependent on you.
I didn’t reply.
I simply ruffled her hair and lifted her into my arms in one motion.
She let out a small squeak of surprise, turned red, and immediately bit my neck. Not hard, but enough to feel it.
— Why do you treat me like this… — she muttered into my neck.
— I have a boyfriend…
I snorted and started walking through the now-empty school corridors. Her weight was barely noticeable.
— He doesn’t have any balls, — I replied calmly.
— And he’s not fulfilling his duties yet.
Yuki tried to bite me again, harder this time.
But I simply tensed the muscles in my neck, and her teeth slid off without doing any damage.
— Thick-skinned bastard… — she muttered quietly.
— Don’t talk about Hayato like that. He… was my first love.
For a second, something heavy and unpleasant settled in my chest.
Like something solid had gotten stuck in my throat.
How hard it is to burn this bastard out of her, I thought.
Especially when she kept defending him herself.
Still, there was no need to rush.
Hayato had already done half the work for me today.
He showed Yuki what happens when she trusts her safety to a weak man.
All I had to do was stay close.
Catch her when she fell.
Say the right words.
And, of course, demonstrate my masculinity in bed.
Gradually become the one she turned to first.
I pulled her a little tighter against me.
Yuki noticed.
— What’s wrong?
— Nothing.
— Liar.
I looked down at her.
— I was just thinking about how much longer you’re still going to keep defending someone who couldn’t protect you.
Her smile disappeared.
— He was confused.
— Of course.
— Don’t say it like that.
— Like what?
— Like he’s useless.
I stopped in the middle of the corridor.
Yuki looked up at me questioningly.
— I didn’t say that.
— But you thought it.
She knew me too well.
— So what if I did?
She frowned.
— Ren…
— Yuki, I’m not asking you to leave him right now.
I left the last part unsaid.
Not yet.
— Then what do you want?
I looked into her eyes for a few seconds.
There were too many answers.
All of them sounded wrong.
Too honest.
— I want you to stop defending people who hurt you.
Yuki looked away.
I started walking again.
After a few steps, she quietly said:
— You hurt me too.
I stopped.
— When you disappear, — she added. — When you decide everything on your own. When you talk like you know better than me what I need.
Unexpected.
And uncomfortably accurate.
Yuki looked at me again.
— So don’t act like you’re so much better than Hayato in every way.
I smirked.
— Not in every way.
— Exactly.
— But in the most important ones — definitely.
She rolled her eyes.
— Arrogant prick.
— And yet you’re still in my arms…
Yuki opened her mouth.
Then demonstratively turned her face away.
But she didn’t try to get down.
Of course.
I continued walking down the empty corridor.
Her head gradually lowered onto my shoulder.
Her fingers were still gripping the collar of my shirt.
She could call Hayato her first love as much as she wanted.
First didn’t mean last.
And it definitely didn’t mean the most important.
