Chapter 32: NOTICE
Helloooo, MonehBuneh hereee!! <3
So...
Volume One of IBHSMS is officially complete!
Honestly, I don’t even know whether I should call it a volume, an arc, or me simply throwing my thoughts into a document and somehow ending up with over a thousand and something words. 😭 Either way, we’ve reached the end of this part of the journey, and I just wanted to sit down for a moment and talk to everyone who’s been reading, commenting, voting, and supporting this story.
First of all...
Thank you.
Seriously, thank you so much.
When I first started writing this book, it wasn’t something I had meticulously planned months in advance. It was one of those random ideas that suddenly appeared in my head, refused to leave me alone, and eventually convinced me to start typing. At first I genuinely thought, "This will just be a fun little project."
I mean I finally got to play my favorite game "Halo: Masterchief collection" and watched the series and boom!
"Shii, I’m gonna write a sci-fi book!" Said monehbunneh.
Then K happened.
Then Kagu happened.
Then Thira.
Then Lex.
Then Iniko.
Then somehow I ended up creating entire civilizations, languages, military systems, religions, alien species, politics, myths, and enough lore to make my own head hurt(the time zone has my sleeping schedule fcked.)
Safe to say...
This story got a little out of hand.
Not that I’m complaining.
Writing it has genuinely become one of the most enjoyable things(if you remove the sleepless nights part) I’ve done in a long time.
Watching all of you react to certain scenes has been hilarious.
You people scare me.
Keep doing it.
One thing I’ve realized while writing Volume One is just how much I’ve grown.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, you’ll probably notice the writing style changed as the Chapters progressed. Early on, I was still trying to figure out how I wanted the narration to feel. I experimented with pacing, dialogue, action scenes, emotional beats, and worldbuilding. Some Chapters came together beautifully. Others... let’s just say I stare at them sometimes and think, "I can definitely do better than this."
And honestly?
I want to.
That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m taking a short break before Volume Two begins.
I don’t just want to continue the story.
I want to make it better and enjoyable.
Better pacing.
Better worldbuilding.
Better emotional moments.
Better combat.
Better mysteries.
Better lore.
Better writing overall.
You all deserve that <3
This is also my very first science fiction novel, so I’m still learning as I go. Sci-fi is such a huge genre with so many moving parts. You have to think about technology, civilizations, biology, physics, politics, cultures, languages, ecosystems... and then somehow make all of it feel believable while still telling an entertaining story.
Needless to say...
I’ve made mistakes.
Probably a lot of them.
There are definitely moments where someone who’s more experienced with science fiction might read a Chapter and think, "That’s not how that would work."
And honestly?
That’s okay.
I’m learning.
Every Chapter teaches me something new.
Every comment helps me improve.
So if you’ve ever wanted to point something out, ask a question, suggest an improvement, or simply share your thoughts...
Please do.
As long as it’s respectful(idc crush me if need be, I can tank it.), I’m always open to constructive criticism. I genuinely read your comments and hope to connect with my readers.
Now...
About Volume Two.
It will officially begin releasing on August 1st, 2026.
There are two reasons for this.
The first is that I plan to participate in the MGS event, and I want to give that my best shot.
The second—and honestly the more important reason—is that I need a little breathing room to properly prepare what’s coming next.
Volume Two is going to be significantly larger in scope.
A look into how Earth got destroyed.
The mysteries surrounding Shira.
The Vashki Empire.
Nythera.
The Oracle.
The System(revamped, I keep messing up the symbols😭.)
Yada Yada Yada.
Everything starts connecting from this point onward(or will they?)
Because of that, I want enough time to revisit my notes, organize my lore properly, smooth out inconsistencies, and make sure the foundation is solid before diving back into weekly releases.
Don’t worry though.
I’m not rebooting the story or changing everything you’ve already read. There won’t suddenly be entirely different characters or completely rewritten plotlines.
Most of the changes are happening behind the scenes. Think of it as reinforcing the foundation of a building before adding more floors. The blueprint and final result remains the same. I’m simply making the road to get there smoother.
I’m genuinely excited for what’s coming next.
Without spoiling too much...
Volume Two begins answering questions while simultaneously asking even bigger ones.
Some mysteries will finally receive answers.
Others will become far, far stranger.(why? I dunno...I forget my own plot sometimes)
There are characters you’ve only heard about who will finally appear.
Relationships will be tested.
Secrets will come to light.
And K? Let’s just say his life is about to become significantly more complicated.(but it’s okay, life is not always daijobu.)
Before I disappear for this tiny break, I just want to say thank you one more time.
Whether you’ve been reading since Chapter One or you only recently discovered this story.
Thank you for giving it a chance.
Thank you for your patience whenever updates were slower than expected.
Thank you for your comments.
Thank you for your votes.
Every single bit of support means far more than you probably realize.
I hope Volume Two lives up to your expectations—and hopefully exceeds them.
Until then.
Take care of yourselves.
Drink some wota.
Get enough sleep.
Touch some grass every once in a while.
I’ll be quietly working behind the scenes, plotting everyone’s suffering—I mean preparing the next volume.
Thank you again for sticking with me on this journey.
I’ll see all of you on August 1st, 2026.
With lots of love,
MonehBunneh 🩷
