Levi had spent quite a bit of time searching for the Magic Herb Garden and Rapunzel.

"The person I brought to save Rune's life," Levi replied casually, his gaze fixed on the unconscious and dying Sky Knight.

At those words, hope immediately appeared in Little Red Riding Hood's and Odelle's eyes.

Rapunzel, however, wore a grave expression.

She walked over to Rune's bedside and carefully examined the bloody wound in his body. As though sharing his pain, her eyes immediately grew moist.

"Levi, your friend is hurt far too badly. My abilities are limited. I'm afraid I can't save him."

The moment those words were spoken, Little Red Riding Hood's and Odelle's hearts sank.

Little Red Riding Hood's eyes immediately reddened again.

Rapunzel's eyes reddened as well.

Looking at Rune with a pained expression, she said, "I'm sorry! He must be in so much pain!"

Tears flowed from Rapunzel's eyes like pearls, falling endlessly onto Rune's wounds.

Rune's injuries began visibly improving before their eyes.

Without drawing attention to himself, he moved closer to Rapunzel.

His hand "accidentally" brushed against Rapunzel before coming to rest on Rune's cheek, where he flicked away a speck of dust that did not actually exist.

Levi shook his head.

The light immediately vanished from Little Red Riding Hood's and Odelle's eyes.

Then Levi's voice reached their ears.

"He will. But it will take time."

By now, Rapunzel had stopped crying. Surprise filled her eyes as she looked at Levi.

"Your spell... seems very similar to my..."

Of course it is. I copied it from you.

But that was the greatest secret Levi possessed.

There was no way he could reveal it.

So he simply nodded.

"Yes. It's Healing."

"I don't think your spell can cure him," Rapunzel said hesitantly.

"That's why I went looking for you."

"I'm sorry. I disappointed you."

Rapunzel immediately looked embarrassed again, as though everything were somehow her fault.

What an innocent... innocent girl.

"I'll go find my godmother. If she's willing to help, she can save him."

At those words, hope rekindled in Little Red Riding Hood's and Odelle's eyes.

Rapunzel's godmother was most likely out trying to save Snow White right now. There was no telling when she would return.

By the time she did, Levi would no longer need her help.

After a moment's thought, he said to Rapunzel, "I need time to increase the power of this spell. As long as you can keep Rune's condition stable and prevent it from worsening, that'll be enough."

"Just give me time."

Levi spoke with complete confidence.

Then he turned toward Rapunzel.

"So, Rapunzel, you're very important."

"Me?"

Rapunzel blinked in surprise.

Levi nodded.

"I need you to help maintain Rune's condition and keep it from getting worse. Cry for a while... I mean, keep it up for a while."

"Ah! Alright."

Under Levi's gaze, Rapunzel agreed.

Levi nodded in satisfaction.

"Then I'm counting on you."

He then turned to Little Red Riding Hood and Odelle.

"You two should take turns resting. Otherwise, you won't be able to keep going much longer."

The two women fell silent for a moment before nodding as well.

Levi said nothing more and returned to his room.

He still needed to continue practicing Healing and raise its level.

The reason he wasn't using Rune as a training target was that Healing couldn't be cast repeatedly on the same person.

Overuse would not heal Rune's injuries.
