The uninvited Rune Winter was visibly shocked after hearing Levi's introduction.

A Great Knight or anything along those lines—he had already seen through that at a glance. The one thing he had not expected was that Levi was actually a wizard, and that he would openly admit it to him.

He gave Levi a deep look before saying, "A wizard... that truly is unexpected... Wizards don't exactly have a good reputation. The Church, especially, cracks down on them harshly."

"So you came here to deal with us?" Yalina's gaze sharpened, the muscles she had just relaxed tensing once more.

"Not at all... My lover is also a wizard... I've just never told anyone before... You're the exception." Rune let out a soft chuckle.

"Your lover is a wizard?" Yalina froze for a moment.

"Yes! She once told me that ever since childhood, she displayed exceptional wizard talent. That was why her teacher—a very powerful witch known as the Raven Queen—took notice of her, transformed her into a raven, carried her away, and raised her by her side while teaching her wizardry." Rune spoke calmly.

But deep within Levi's eyes, stormy waves had already erupted.

This was the second time he had heard the name "Raven Queen."

His mind rapidly recalled the contents of The Raven, eventually locking onto the old witch who tested the male protagonist in the story.

'So she's the Raven Queen? Just how powerful is she?' Levi's eyes flickered slightly as the thought crossed his mind.

Meanwhile, after hearing Rune Winter's words, Yalina lowered her guard, curiosity appearing in her eyes like a girl eagerly following the next episode of a drama.

"And then?" she asked.

"Yes, what happened after that?" Odelle's voice rang out as well.

Rune Winter suddenly heard Odelle's voice and was briefly startled. He looked toward the nightingale that had flown out of the birdcage and perched itself on Yalina's shoulder.

"This is?"

"She was cursed by a witch and transformed into a nightingale. For now, she's staying by my side while I search for a way to break the curse," Levi casually explained.

"A pitiful girl. Much like my lover's misfortune. But fortunately, it seems you encountered a fairly decent wizard. You have my blessings," Rune Winter said to Odelle.

"Thank you. And I hope you can find your lover as well. But could you continue telling us about your story with her? We're all very curious," Odelle replied gracefully.

She made Rune feel as though he were speaking with an exceptionally refined noble lady.

Which, in truth, she was.

Rune nodded.

"In that case, why don't we sit down and talk while we eat?"

"I also brought some food to share with you."

"If you don't mind, of course."

As he spoke, he took out a long white loaf of bread, a large piece of premium ham, and a bottle of wine as red as blood from the pack he carried with him.

"Ah, that little bit of food isn't even enough for you alone," Yalina remarked after glancing at it.

"That may not be true. These things could feed you for an entire lifetime, and they would still never run out," Rune Winter said meaningfully.

"What do you mean?" Yalina asked in confusion.

She could finish all of that in just a few bites. How could it possibly last a lifetime?

But upon hearing those words, Levi's heart stirred.

Those exact items had appeared in The Raven.

He looked toward Rune and took the initiative to say, "If you don't mind, leave them to me. I can warm them over the fire as well."

"That would suit me perfectly." Rune smiled.

Then he used the power of the life-energy seed within his body, extending it outside himself to gently lift the three items through the air before steadily placing them into Levi's hands.

That display instantly stunned Yalina.

Levi, however, remained calm.

After all, his primary profession was that of a wizard—and not just any wizard, but a genuine Second-Ring Wizard who had already stepped into the middle ranks.

Not to mention, unlike ordinary Second-Ring Wizards, he was far stronger than most of them.

No matter how powerful a Sky Knight might be, he still would not be Levi's opponent.

So Levi felt no emotional ripple at all from that display. Compared to it, these three items excited him far more.

Levi's fingers lightly brushed across the bread, ham, and wine.

The Origin Energy within his body immediately reacted, flowing into the three items before returning back into him.

In an instant, three new spell crystals appeared within the sea of Levi's soul:

[Meat Synthesis], [Wine Synthesis], and [Bread Synthesis].

These three spells allowed Levi to directly synthesize meat, wine, and bread from the air itself.

'At the very least, I won't starve to death in the future,' Levi thought to himself.

Then suddenly, in the very next moment, the three spell crystals spontaneously fused together, forming an even more complex spell crystal:

[Synthesis]!

Levi's heart shook as his consciousness touched the newly formed spell crystal born from the fusion.

A sudden realization emerged within him.

This spell was not only capable of synthesizing all kinds of food, but could also synthesize many other substances—or even synthesize different things together.

However, this [Synthesis] spell was incomplete, because it could not synthesize metal.

If it could even synthesize metal independently, then this [Synthesis] spell would become truly terrifying. It would be capable of synthesizing all things.

Perhaps it could even synthesize gods themselves.

But that was likely a power only attainable after training [Synthesis] all the way to the level of a Ninth-Ring Spell.

That was a distant dream that might not come true for ages.

Even so, low-level [Synthesis] already possessed countless practical uses.

In an instant, all sorts of interesting ideas flooded Levi's mind.

His gaze drifted toward his alchemy carriage.

What he was thinking about was whether he could use [Synthesis] to modify the alchemy carriage itself.

Maybe he could create an engine, a gearbox, and four tires. Eight tires would work too. Then there would be no need for horses to pull the carriage anymore.

He could install a steering wheel, turning Yalina from a coachwoman into a driver.

The carriage cabin would also need a complete upgrade—transforming it into a motorhome with a bedroom, kitchen, air conditioning, living room, bathroom, and everything else.

If he could truly accomplish that, then his treasure-hunting journey would become far more comfortable.

Levi felt extremely tempted by the idea.

But he also understood that the current [Synthesis] was only Level 1, not even meeting the minimum standard of a First-Ring Spell. Trying to revolutionize an alchemy carriage into a modern RV was not going to be easy.

But it was no longer impossible.

Levi realized that perhaps he really could live a modernized life within this fairy-tale world.

Maybe he could even create computers and the internet someday.

What would it be called in this era?

Thoughts swirled wildly through his mind while his body remained completely motionless for quite some time.

"Levi, Levi..." Yalina sensed that something was wrong and loudly called out to him.

Levi snapped back to his senses. He nodded toward the worried Yalina and said, "I'm fine. I was just thinking about something and got distracted."

Yalina finally let out a sigh of relief.

She had thought Levi had been secretly attacked by this suddenly appearing stranger using some kind of hidden method.

In her heart, she had already been prepared to fight this Sky Knight to the death.

Even if she clearly stood no chance and would only be throwing her life away, she still would not have hesitated in the slightest.

Rune gave an awkward laugh.

"You really gave me a scare there. For a moment, I thought you believed I had poisoned the food."

"That's truly unfortunate. There's no poison in it," Levi replied casually, clearly in a good mood.

"Hahahahaha..." Rune burst into loud laughter.

A smile also appeared on Levi's lips as he cast Wizard's Hand.

In an instant, multiple invisible giant hands materialized around him.

The Wizard's Hand Levi created were as dexterous as real human hands.

Under the control of his thoughts, they moved together—slicing bread, cutting ham, and pouring wine.

Every time Levi sliced off a piece of bread, cut away a portion of ham, or poured out a glass of wine, the bread, ham, and wine would automatically restore themselves.

No matter how much they cut, they could never be exhausted.

No matter how much wine was poured, it would never run dry.

"Wow!"

Witnessing this miraculous scene, both Yalina and Odelle widened their eyes in shock.

"How can treasures like this even exist?"

"With these three items, there'll never be a need to worry about food again."

A trace of pride flashed across Rune's face.

"This is merely something my lover left behind because she worried I might not be able to find food sometimes," he said lightly.

"Yes! I believe she truly loves me as well. Love goes both ways. For her, I would gladly give up everything," Rune declared with unwavering eyes.

"How touching," Yalina said.

"Mr. Rune, you will definitely find your lover again," Odelle said.

"Thank you." Rune nodded toward the two women in gratitude.

Yalina looked toward Levi.

"Levi, what do you think?"

"I think... we should eat." Levi used wood to synthesize several clean wooden plates, bowls, knives, forks, and spoons. Then, using several Wizard's Hand, he divided the food into portions and delivered them in front of everyone before calmly speaking.

Why did that somehow feel like such a mood-killer?

"..." Yalina was speechless.

"..." Odelle also found herself unable to say anything.

"..." Even the Sky Knight Rune Winter fell silent.

The atmosphere became awkward.

Fortunately, the awkwardness did not last long.

Rune suddenly burst into laughter himself, raised a cup of wine, and said, "Right, time to eat."

With that, he drained the wine in one gulp, grabbed the other food, and began devouring everything voraciously.

"Delicious."

Seeing this, Yalina and Odelle also started eating.

But as they ate, the two gradually stopped moving their utensils and instead stared wide-eyed at the Sky Knight Rune Winter as he feasted enthusiastically.

Although the food Levi prepared truly was delicious, Rune's reaction was way too exaggerated.

"Lord Rune, this..." Yalina could not help but speak up.

"My apologies. It's just that I haven't eaten food this good in far too long," Rune said while stuffing food into his mouth.

His eyes were practically turning red as he continued, "Do you know that for twelve months out of every year, all I eat is this bread, ham, and wine? I'm already sick of it to the point I nearly want to throw up."

"Then why don't you eat at inns?" Yalina asked. "The food there might not be especially delicious, but at least it would give you some variety."

Still eating in huge mouthfuls, Rune replied, "To search for my lover, who was imprisoned inside the Golden Palace by the Raven Queen, I rarely stay in towns. Most of the time I wander through the wilderness searching for even the slightest clue."

"But there are plenty of good things in the wild too. Wild boar, honey, rabbits, pheasants, blueberries, apples..." Yalina continued. "You could roast them yourself for a change of pace. With your strength, that should be easy."

This time, Rune fell silent.

After a pause, he awkwardly admitted, "I... I tried before. But every time I roasted meat, it either turned completely black or stayed raw inside. I even managed to burn apples. After trying several times, I eventually gave up."

Hearing this, Levi—who had been quietly eating roasted venison steak and drinking wine the entire time—raised an eyebrow.

He finally understood why, in The Raven, the heroine had given the male protagonist those endlessly replenishing bread, ham, and wine.

Turns out she was worried that without them, the protagonist might literally starve to death.

Levi could not help finding it amusing.

This Sky Knight Rune Winter felt strangely absurd somehow.

Yalina and Odelle clearly felt the same way.

His explanation left both of them completely speechless.

In the end, they silently resumed eating and stopped talking altogether.

Only the sound of chewing echoed through the area.

Less than half an hour later—

The meal, which was enough to completely feed forty grown men, had been entirely consumed by Levi, Yalina, and the Sky Knight Rune Winter.

Odelle's appetite was too insignificant to even mention.

Rune Winter's appetite, however, was absolutely outrageous.

He alone ate forty percent of the entire meal.

Levi also ate forty percent.

Yalina consumed less than twenty percent.

Rune was a Sky Knight, and his physical attributes far surpassed those of Levi and Yalina, so naturally he ate more.

As for why Levi, despite also being only a Great Knight like Yalina, ate far more than she did—

That was because of Conversion.

This spell rapidly absorbed and converted the food Levi consumed, transforming it into energy for his body while extremely slowly improving his physical attributes.

Of course, that was another matter entirely.

After finishing his meal, Rune let out an enormous belch and contentedly rubbed his stomach.

"This is incredible. I haven't eaten such a proper meal in years."

"Levi, your cooking skills are amazing. If you ever opened an inn, I would definitely become a regular customer," he praised Levi. "Though I probably wouldn't have that much money. Could I pay with something else instead?"

Levi rolled his eyes at him speechlessly.

The so-called Sky Knight protagonist from The Raven somehow felt a little low-class.

At that moment, Rune suddenly seemed to remember something and asked Levi a question.
