While Ebonara and Hyun-woo were sleeping peacefully, something way messier was happening in the treehouse of the three Gorgon sisters.
Stheno, the fiery middle sister, was sprawled in her vine-woven hammock on the middle-floor balcony, golden tail dangling lazily. She wore her red tank top and gray joggers, snake hair hissing softly as she scrolled through her phone. It was covered in stickers of small cartoon snakes. It looked weird, but somehow, it suited her.
Upstairs, Medusa was polishing a petrified statue. Her phone buzzed against the table.
Euryale was coming up from her garden to talk to her sisters—they still hadn’t discussed the weird situation where she had found them earlier. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, her phone buzzed, too.
Euryale saw that the message came from their group chat—"Guardians Group Chat"—and nearly dropped her phone.
Pinned at the top was a brand-new video from Ice Queen ❄️.
She hit play.
It was crystal-clear footage: the exact moment earlier that day when the whole crew rushed to the treehouse after Mother felt the "breach."
It caught both Medusa and Stheno playfully pinning a shirtless, root-bound Hyun-woo to the sofa—Stheno’s tail draped over his thigh, Medusa leaning in close, both looking way too into it. Hyun-woo’s panicked "This isn’t what it looks like!" was perfectly audible.
