Dai Jin went stiff and slowly turned his head.

He saw Su Mu just a few steps away. The legendary Five Flames Heaven-Shaking Bow was already drawn taut like a full moon, and on its string, a crystalline, blood-red arrow had taken shape.

The arrow was pointing right at him.

Wan Qing had already taken two steps back and was watching Dai Jin with a cold sneer.

"Inspector Dai, I warned you not to get too cocky. You’re not invincible," Wan Qing sneered.

"Captain Wan, even if you kill me, it won’t solve anything," Dai Jin said slowly. "The Shennong Hundred Herbs Sect will see this matter through to the end.

The Hundred Herbs Blood Exchange Method absolutely cannot be allowed to spread to outsiders.

I am an Inspector. If I die here, everyone in the Wuling Taiping Bureau will be implicated."

He didn’t dare provoke Su Mu, so he could only appeal to Wan Qing by laying out the stakes. His tone was incomparably softer than before.

"Su Mu, lower the arrow," Wan Qing finally said, his expression shifting.

"Alright."

The corners of Su Mu’s mouth lifted slightly.
