Chapter 131: Welcome To the Verati Library
[A Month after the Aquinas Attack]
[The Great Verati Library]
"Master Percy! Madam Rita! Wake up!"
Lana's loud voice echoed through the library and reached into Percy's upstairs bedroom. Percy let out a low groan as he blinked his eyes open, and he turned to his left as he felt Rita hugging herself close to him. Percy and Rita were both completely naked, and their clothes were thrown around the floor from when they had gotten into bed together last night. Rita pressed her breasts tighter against Percy's arm, and Percy smiled as he turned around and wrapped his hand around her before he kissed her forehead softly.
Rita moaned as she felt Percy's warmth wrapping around her, and she sighed softly.
"Hey, baby. Good morning."
Percy smiled, and he kissed Rita again.
"Good morning, babe."
"Master Percy! Madam Rita!"
Lana's loud voice echoed through the door again, and Percy chuckled as Rita let out a louder groan. Percy caressed Rita's body, and he spoke.
"Come on, let's go out before she decides to come in here."
Rita nodded into Percy's chest, and she spoke softly.
"You can go ahead. I'll be out soon."
Percy smiled, and he gave Rita one last kiss before he got off the bed and began to walk out of the room. As Percy walked, his magic immediately cleaned him up, and a magic circle formed under his feet and put his clothes on for him. Percy walked out of the inner room, and he smiled as Lana ran up to him excitedly!
"Master Percy, I already opened up the library!"
Percy patted Lana on the head softly and thanked her for her help.
"Rita will be out soon. You can get back to work, alright."
Lana nodded and quickly took off, and Percy continued down the stairs and began heading towards the front desk where multiple students were already waiting for him. There were students on the various balconies looking through shelves, and many of the students gave Percy excited waves when they saw him. Since Percy had been here for more than a year now, the students had finally warmed up to him, and it was no longer strange to see multiple students coming up to him and asking him for help with their work.
"Hello, Mr Percy."
Percy looked up as he got to the front desk, and he smiled at the student waiting for him. The student handed Percy the book she borrowed along with her library card, and Percy helped her check out before handing it back to her with a smile before greeting the next student.
Percy turned to the side after a few more students had left, and he raised a brow at the woman who had been sitting there all this time.
"Aren't you meant to be working right now, Viva?"
Viva was sitting in the waiting room at the side, and she had her head buried in her book. But once Percy spoke, Viva flinched, and she looked up with an apologetic look on her face. After the incident in the city, the king had pardoned Hildegard, but there were still a lot of concerns about Hildegard going out of control again, so the Aquinas City Guard had sent an officer to the school to keep an eye on things and make sure that Hildegard was actually safe.
And just like always, there was only one person who knew the Verati Academy well enough to act undercover here!
Viva stood up from the seat, and she smoothed down her maid's gown with a frown before she came over and handed Percy the book. Percy smiled at her, and he told her to grab him a document from downstairs.
"And stop frowning. You'll scare the kids."
"I'm not frowning."
Percy rolled his eyes and chopped Viva on the forehead, and Viva let out a cute cry of pain! A student snickered from the side, but his laughter died quickly as Viva turned to him with a heavy glare! The student quickly looked away, and Viva huffed before she tore off!
"Lana! Where are you!?"
Viva called out while jogging upstairs, and when Lana answered, Viva called out again.
"Come help me look for something!"
Percy went back to work again, as he ignored the two of them, and it didn't take long before his attention was pulled away again as his three little students came up to him.
"Hello, Mr. Percy!"
James, Harold, and Raya were here once again, and James bounced on the balls of his feet as he greeted Percy excitedly! Percy smiled at them kindly and asked them what they were doing here.
"We came to pick Hildegard."
Once Harold said this, a voice called out from upstairs!
"I'll be right down, guys. Just hold on!"
Hildegard quickly slithered down the stairs with Rita following behind her, and Percy watched as most of the students in the school looked towards her curiously as she passed them. There was a large smile on Rita's face as she passed the students and came up to the three of them, and Percy smiled as he watched them. After the incident in the school, the king had pardoned Hildegard for all her crimes, and since Hildegard didn't have anywhere else to go, Percy had offered to allow her to stay in the library for as long as she wanted.
Now, Hildegard always went to school from here and came back here as well, and things had been going great. But even though Hildegard was no longer a criminal to anyone, it was obvious that it would take a while for the other students in the school to get used to her presence. Thankfully, Percy's students had all warmed up to Hildegard rather quickly. Especially Harold. Since they were both in the same year, Harold had made it his mission to help Hildegard with anything she needed, and Percy could tell that they were both great friends now.
"Hey, guys. Thanks for waiting."
Hildegard greeted him with a smile, and Harold said that it was alright. This was the first time that Hildegard would be going to class with some of her actual friends, and she couldn't stop the blush from rising on her face when she saw Harold smile at her! Raya glared at Hildegard when she saw that blush, and Hildegard quickly turned away to avoid Raya's eyes!
"Uhm, I'll be going now! Bye, Mr. Percy, bye Rita!"
Hildegard waved to Percy and Rita as she slithered out of the library, and Percy chuckled as he watched the group of friends leaving. Percy knew that Raya and Hildegard both had feelings for Harold now and that would cause some drama later in the future, but that was something that they had to figure out for themselves later. Percy was just happy that they were getting along so well.
"I'm glad things worked out."
Rita said this with a smile, and Percy hummed and nodded in agreement. Rita leaned over and kissed Percy's cheek before leaving so that he could get back to work.
"Lana! What the hell are you doing!? Stop playing with the Kraken! It'll break free! Lana!"
A loud voice echoed from downstairs, and Rita let out a long sigh with a smile before she began heading down to go and help Viva and Lana. Percy just huffed in amusement as Viva's cries got louder, and he ignored all of that and turned back to a shy young student who walked up to the desk with a confused expression. Percy could immediately tell that he was a first-year, and Percy put on his most welcoming smile as he said:
"Welcome to the Verati library. How can I help you?"
