[Maximum Thermal Vision Temperature: 9,000°C+]

[Maximum Thermal Breath Temperature: 10,000°C+]

Lynn closed his eyes.

For three seconds, he simply listened.

Every cell in his body was alive.

Not metaphorically.

Literally.

He could hear the faint resonance generated by trillions of cells operating in perfect synchronization.

A harmonious vibration.

A biological symphony.

Power flowed through every fiber of his existence.

When he opened his eyes again, the World Engine's core had nearly gone dark.

The once-brilliant blue energy source now resembled a dying star.

Its light was weak.

Flickering.

Barely visible.

The gravitational pulses had ceased entirely.

The superweapon responsible for crushing Metropolis had become nothing more than an empty shell.

Everything it once possessed had been consumed.

Absorbed.

Converted.

By Lynn alone.

Outside, the battlefield had already begun changing.

Without the World Engine's gravitational suppression, heroes across the city could finally move freely again.

The crushing force pinning them to the ground vanished.

Normal gravity returned.

Lynn looked down at himself.

Physically, little appeared different.

His giant masked form remained unchanged.

The black combat suit remained intact.

The white mask still concealed his face.

Yet the difference was undeniable.

He could feel it.

Every movement carried an entirely new level of power.

He decided to test it.

Heat Vision activated.

Two razor-thin beams erupted from behind the white mask.

Unlike before, the beams were no longer crimson.

Their color leaned toward orange-white plasma.

The surrounding air distorted immediately.

Space itself seemed to shimmer beneath the thermal output.

Lynn aimed at the World Engine's inner hull.

A structure composed of advanced Kryptonian alloys engineered to withstand immense stress and energy loads.

The beam struck.

One second passed.

The alloy glowed orange.

Then white.

Then disappeared.

Not melted.

Not cut.

Evaporated.

A perfectly circular hole appeared in the armor.

Its edges were smooth and glass-like.

As though reality itself had erased the material.

Lynn deactivated the beam.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Compared to his previous Heat Vision, the increase was dramatic.

The earlier version could penetrate limited depths through advanced materials.

This version could likely burn through virtually any known Earth-based substance.

Even vibranium would no longer remain untouchable.

The World Engine continued dying around him.

The energy core had shrunk to roughly the size of a human fist.

Its surface flickered weakly.

The machine's final reserves had been exhausted.

Its purpose was over.

Its usefulness was over.

And so was Lynn's interest in keeping it intact.

He raised his right hand.

Then slowly clenched it into a fist.

Power gathered instantly.

The kinetic energy accumulated through Vibranium Resonance surged into his arm.

A deep violet glow appeared beneath his skin.

The visual manifestation of immense stored force.

Lynn ignored the failing energy core.

Instead, he aimed downward.

Toward the foundation of the World Engine itself.

No dramatic pose.

No elaborate preparation.

Just a punch.

A simple punch.

One combining:

The Immortal Divine Body's evolved physical power.Perfect Kryptonian physiology.Gamma-adaptive strength.Stored kinetic energy accumulated through countless impacts.

The fist landed.

For an instant, nothing happened.

Then the World Engine broke.

Not exploded.

Not detonated.

Broke.

The distinction mattered.

Cracks erupted from the impact point.

Traveling through every structural layer simultaneously.

Armor plates.

Power conduits.

Gravity emitters.

Mechanical tentacles.

Support frameworks.

Everything fractured.

The destruction propagated faster than even the All-Seeing Eye's refresh rate could fully track.

The World Engine ceased being a machine.

It became debris.

The entire structure collapsed into countless fragments.

Order became chaos in less than a third of a second.

Lynn flew through the disintegrating base and emerged beneath the collapsing machine.

He stopped.

Hovering motionlessly in the sky.

Far below him lay Metropolis.

Far above him, the shattered remains of Krypton's greatest weapon scattered across the atmosphere.

Hundreds of tons of debris drifted outward.

Blue energy flickered among the fragments.

From a distance, the destruction resembled a metallic meteor shower.

On the ground, every witness saw it.

The machine that had nearly transformed Earth into a new Krypton was gone.

Destroyed from within.

Superman looked upward.

His enhanced vision tracked every fragment.

Every trajectory.

Every piece of debris.

And at the center of it all—

He saw the figure responsible.

Black armor.

White mask.

Arms hanging calmly at his sides.

Hovering tens of thousands of meters above the city.

Not moving.

Not struggling.

Simply suspended in the sky.

As though gravity itself had forgotten him.

Clark swallowed.

During the Battle of New York, he had only heard stories from Bruce Wayne.

Stories about a mysterious masked individual.

A man who restrained Loki and physically interfered with the Tesseract.

Now he was witnessing the truth firsthand.

And it was somehow more unbelievable than the stories.

This man had destroyed a World Engine.

A machine Clark himself wasn't entirely certain he could have destroyed through direct force alone.

Bruce's voice suddenly came across the communication network.

Calm.

Controlled.

But noticeably faster than usual.

"Attention everyone."

"Debris is beginning atmospheric descent."

"Thor, intercept the larger fragments north of Sector Five."

"Flash, continue civilian evacuation in the eastern districts."

"Everyone else, seek cover immediately."

The debris began falling.

One of the largest sections—an armored casing over thirty meters long and weighing several hundred tons—spun through the atmosphere.

It passed within meters of Superman.

Then crashed into the ruins below.

The impact created a massive crater.

Dust erupted skyward.

Shockwaves rippled through nearby streets.

Yet nobody panicked.

Because the real danger was already gone.

The gravity field had vanished.

The World Engine was dead.

And for the first time since General Zod's invasion began—

Metropolis could breathe again.
