After dinner, the men sat together to discuss who would take care of Su Mo that night.

It was supposed to be his turn last night, but his wife had been in a temper and wouldn’t let him in the room, so he had been switched with Fei Yan.
That evening, Su Mo enjoyed a long, comfortable bath. Little Nine had given her a new body wash and body oil today.
Little Nine explained that because her Beast Husbands’ affection levels had been rising so quickly lately, the System Space had given her products with an improved formula.
After applying them, Su Mo couldn’t help but marvel. ’These really are upgraded products.’
The fragrance was even lovelier, and her skin had visibly become fairer and more radiant.
She took a mirror out of the System Space and was stunned by the heavenly beauty of the face that stared back at her, its fair skin tinged with a rosy glow.

A sudden idea struck Su Mo. "Little Nine," she asked, "can the lab analyze the components of this formula?"
Little Nine replied, "Why analyze it? This bottle will last a long time! If you run out, I’ll just get you one with an even better formula."
Su Mo said, playing with the bath bubbles, "So I can analyze it, have the lab mass-produce it, and sell it at the market!"
Little Nine was speechless. "You really are obsessed with money... But I guess it’s not impossible. It’s worth a shot!"
When Su Mo had dressed and stepped outside, her eyes immediately met those of Mo Xiao, who was waiting for her.

Someone gently lifted her into their arms and placed her on the bed.

As her soft fingertip roamed freely, Mo Xiao felt as if she had set his entire body on fire.
He suddenly grabbed her mischievous hand, forcing himself to sound calm as he refused. "No. The wedding date cannot be postponed. I’ve already notified the guests."
"What’s the big deal? We can just send someone to make another round of announcements."
Su Mo began stoking the flames with her other hand.
His breathing grew ragged in her ear. Finally, Mo Xiao couldn’t hold back any longer. He rolled over, pinning her beneath him with her hands trapped above her head.
His dark eyes met her luminous ones, his tone filled with resignation. "Be good, Mo’er. Don’t tease me anymore. I want... to wait until our wedding day."
Su Mo raised an eyebrow.
’And who was it this morning who told me he couldn’t wait any longer...?’
"Why do you insist on waiting until that day?"
"Because..." He lowered his head, kissing her forehead, her cheeks...
His voice was low, hoarse, and tender. "I want you to remember me so completely. I want that day to be so fresh in your memory, so deeply ingrained, that you can never forget it. I want you to forever remember the way I love you..."
After waiting this long, he didn’t mind waiting a few more days.
He was unwilling—unbearable, even—to miss such a rare opportunity to make her remember him.

Mo Xiao rolled onto his side, pulling her into his embrace. "Sleep now, Mo’er."
Later that night, Mo Xiao opened his door and made a beeline for the creek behind the mountain.
Yue Ying heard the commotion outside and gritted his teeth in anger. "That damn snake is so calculating!"
When Mo Xiao finished his cold bath, he looked up to see Fei Yan sitting on the branch of a nearby tree, though he hadn’t noticed him arrive.
Their eyes met, and Fei Yan leaped down from the branch.
He seemed to want to say something, but the moment he opened his mouth, he found he didn’t know what to say.
Fei Yan’s brow furrowed slightly. "Is our wife asleep?"
Mo Xiao nodded and started to walk away.
As he watched Mo Xiao walk away, Fei Yan couldn’t stop his hands from clenching into fists.
He had tried to convince himself not to care, but at the thought of what might have happened, a knot of frustration tightened in his chest.
He cared for her far more deeply than he had imagined.
「The next day.」
When Su Mo woke up, only Ye Yuan and Cang Lan were in the courtyard.
The others were nowhere in sight. Su Mo figured they were all busy and couldn’t be bothered to ask.
She was planning to go into town today to find the original owner’s father and mother.

When Mo Xiao returned, he only found Ye Yuan and Cang Lan in the courtyard; Su Mo was nowhere to be seen.
He couldn’t help but frown. "Where is our wife?"
Ye Yuan explained, "Our wife had Fei Yan accompany her to town."
