On the watchtower, Xiao Wu was so angry that he dumped the mic on the floor with a bang. He had been screaming until his voice turned hoarse but these people did not listen to him. Forget about leaving; they were now kneeling in front of the gates and even howling like they were being tortured. Were they not afraid of attracting the zombies and causing trouble for their safe base? Maybe that was what they were after!
He hurried down the watchtower and went to look for Bai Meiyue, who was also walking over after hearing the cries of the survivors. He couldn’t help but complain to Bai Meiyue, "These people are shameless. They were the ones who left the safe base and now they are the ones who are making a fuss demanding that we let them inside. Bai Meiyue knew what these people were thinking but she had no intention of playing along, did they think that they could just make her accept them as long as they knelt in front of her and cried a few times? Ignoring the cries of the people outside, she simply said to Xiao Wu, "Just open the small gate and let Yang Wei and her team enter the safe base. If they are not willing, then let them go back with these people."
The fact that Yang Wei had not come out of her car showed that she was waiting for the big gates to open such that she could return to the safe base with great fanfare, as if she were showing off her might. But how could Bai Meiyue allow that to happen?

Bai Meiyue’s attitude was firm and Xiao Wu knew that these people could not enter the safe base, so he nodded and then immediately turned around. Even though he was tired of screaming the same thing, after taking a few people with him, he opened the small gates and aimed the guns at the survivors before saying to Yang Wei’s convoy, "Can you not hear me? Come to the small gate and enter the safe base; if you don’t want to come, then turn around now!"

Xiao Wu shouted at Yang Wei but the woman did not seem to be in a hurry, instead it was the survivors who scrambled to their feet and rushed forward. Seeing this, Xiao Wu shut the door and took aim at the ground.
