Liu Che shrugged. "It’s quite a simple phenomenon if you look at it carefully. I don’t know if it is because of the continuous evolution reactions or something else. But the mist seems to have developed its own sentience; as long as I manipulate it well enough, it can create a barrier that can keep the enemy at bay. Worst comes to worst, as long as they try to attack our safe base, they will be poisoned."
"Does your mist work on humans and zombies?" Bai Meiyue asked with a tilt of her head. She had indeed heard about such poisonous mist in the past. Back then, in her previous life, she used to be envious of the safe base that had such a wonderful defence system. But now that defence system was her own.
She could always barter off more defence equipment but it would be difficult for her to come up with an excuse. If possible, it would be better if the ability users started developing abilities that could defend the safe base.
Hearing her question, Liu Che hesitated. "I am still developing this skill. If it’s a small area, the poison’s effects will naturally be higher than in a larger area. "That is enough." Bai Meiyue did not expect much to begin with. As long as the mist could send the people away, it would be enough. "I am sure." Bai Meiyue nodded. She did not want to wish for the ability users to push themselves too much. What if they ended up causing trouble for themselves? She did not want Liu Che to take such steps or else who knows what might happen to him?

While Bai Meiyue was dealing with security measures of the safe base, Bai Wenxuan was leisurely taking a stroll around the safe base, though it could be said that he was just taking a stroll; his eyes were never resting. He was keeping an eye on everything and anything. Even the smallest thing was being observed in detail.
"It seems like the safe base has everything." He remarked while casually looking at the fishery that was opened not far from the mansions.
"Indeed," Fox, who was pushing the wheelchair, agreed with his comment. He then said to Bai Wenxuan, "It seems like you are trying to take notes. Are you planning on implementing these things in the safe base at the capital?"
"Even if I want to do it... there is no point... we do not have the resources. Do you think I can get my hands on something like this?" Bai Wenxuan glanced at the man behind him with a little chuckle. The fish in the seas had long been mutated. There was nothing he could do. Where was he going to catch fish that had not been mutated? He tapped his fingers on the wheelchair and continued, "More than that, I am more interested in how Bai Meiyue was able to create this safe base. The way she has intricately designed this entire safe base is not something that I have seen before." He was not lying. This was something that Bai Wenxuan could not understand.
Was it because no one thought much about this small safe base or Bai Meiyue was deliberately hiding herself? Knowing Bai Meiyue, it must be because of the latter reason.
"If you want to talk about it, then how about discussing this matter with Xu Jinyue?"
"Xu Jinye?" Bai Wenxuan raised a brow and questioned. "Who is this woman now?"
"She..." Fox did not know how to explain about Xu Jinyue. It would be wrong for him to say that the woman was not serious and it would be wrong for him to say that she was a serious woman. Xu Jinyue was the kind of person who did whatever she wanted but somehow she was the only one who knew everything about the safe base. Fortunately, she was loyal to Bai Meiyue or else it would be really problematic for them.
He waved his hand, temporarily throwing away the worries in his heart. "Anyway, she is the only one who can tell you about everything that goes on in the safe base as well as the functioning. You might as well discuss these matters with her. As long as you can make her open her mouth, you will not have to worry about anything." Fox did not want to betray Bai Meiyue but he also wanted to help Bai Wenxuan.
With Bai Wenxuan learning the principles of how to run a safe base, it won’t take long for the Bai family to establish itself in the capital. That way, he could get his hands on the military fighter planes as promised and Bai Meiyue would not look at him like he was a liar every day.
