By the time Ciyi and Xiao Bai dug a canal through the soil right under the thick wall, they couldn’t help but feel tired. Since he was such a shitty person, he should get a taste of how bad shit tastes.
When Bai Meiyue saw Ciyi return, she was surprised to see that the little one had returned with crystal nuclei with her. From the look of sheer disgust on her face, it seemed like she was utterly annoyed by something. Bai Meiyue couldn’t understand what made her react in such a manner and asked, "Where were you and where did you get these many crystal nuclei?"
She then looked at Xiao Bai and the rest of the weasels, who had dodged and ducked through the waves of the zombies and brought the crystal nuclei to the tenth floor. His expression alone brought a look of disgust on Bai Meiyue’s face. She said to him in a disgusted tone, "What is it? Just say it without making me throw up."
"We just wanted to help you." Lu Jingguo spread his hands helplessly as if he was hurt by the accusation that Bai Meiyue made against him.
Bai Meiyue arched a brow. "And what can you help me with?"
She crossed her arms and looked at the man in front of her with a side of her lips curled up. "What kind of help can you give me?"
She then heard Luo Jingguo say, "For example, my sister will help your ice bridge with her own abilities. This way, this bridge will not collapse."
"And what do you want in exchange?"
"Look at you, you cannot deal with the situation at the moment. We are all trapped inside this zombie wave, and I guess the people who will be coming to rescue you will be in the same situation as well. So, isn’t it better for us to cooperate to get out of this predicament?"
Luo Jingguo’s tone was bright and cheerful like a flower. With his sunny smile and sly tongue, he swiftly turned the situation around as if the two teams were not standing on opposite sides. Bai Meiyue looked at the man indifferently, only wishing that Xiao Wu were with her because he was the only one who could deal with this man, as she was not proficient in these debate wars.
Ignoring Luo Jingguo’s silver tongue, she turned to look at the man who was the cause of this disturbance. Bai Feng had just finished throwing a spear at the zombies when she sensed someone looking at him. He raised his head and looked at Bai Meiyue. His eyes were cold with a hint of conflict in them as he nodded at Bai Meiyue. "You do not have to worry about anything, Yueyue. I will not do anything to harm you."
"You can never harm me," Bai Meiyue sneered. "And you are dreaming if you think you can harm me." Her gaze drifted over to where Bai Xue was crouching in the corner. Although the woman was not looking at her, Bai Meiyue knew Bai Xue too well. She knew that the woman was not reconciled with the humiliation that she had suffered and was thinking of a way to retaliate against her.
