Zhai Dajiang ended up waiting for half an hour.
After all, Qin Wenhao still had to finish washing the clothes in the basin and hang them up to dry.

The Qin family’s ancestors must be smiling down on them.
Qin Wenhao shot him a sidelong glance before saying, "I have my father-in-law to thank for that. He arranged the marriage years ago."
Zhai Dajiang’s eyes widened. "Your father-in-law? How come I’ve never heard you mention him?"
Qin Wenhao sneered. "Are we that close? Do I have to tell you everything?"
Zhai Dajiang was speechless. ’You bastard...’
’Whatever,’ he thought. ’I’m the bigger person here.’
"Oh, right. I heard about your grandfather—my condolences."
The topic suddenly grew heavy.
Qin Wenhao fell silent.

Just then, Li Zhao came in.
He was also there on business.

She hurried back to her dorm.
She found Qin Wenhao tidying up the room and said apologetically, "Sorry, I lost track of time. You must be hungry, right?"
"I ate at the cafeteria earlier, so I’m not that hungry. You haven’t eaten yet, though. Should we head over now?"
Fu Mingxue was, in fact, quite hungry.
"Alright. By the way, who did you eat with earlier?"
"Zhai Dajiang. We grew up in the same compound. I didn’t expect him to be living here too."
"Zhai Dajiang?" Fu Mingxue didn’t recognize the name.
After all, she hadn’t been at the base for very long.
