Dauph34: Again Im not too knowledgeable about the details of what these aliens cultures are like but I do find the dynamic between the two of them fascinating
Kraia: it really is!! okay, so to start the actual discussion part of this discussion topic, what are your theories as for why bathory came on to the hand right out the gate?
xengret: Sexual attraction.
Kraia: there's definitely way more to it than that, but you aren't wrong! the both of them are wildly attractive!

Kraia: they make me insane!!! that short was so good! the way the hand was just playing with bathory the whole time, how she knew her past already, and the piece of the storlayacas that bathory has??? there's the general board for that mystery, but maybe the storlayacas are bringing them together specifically because they were meant to be!
FormulatedFoundry: Literally soulmates, they have to be.

Kraia: by all the stars and all the saints, that moment has a choke hold one me!! the way they were lingering against one another?!? the way they were so intertwined?!? the way bathory immediately threw herself in front of the queen's hand in order to hide her from view of that guard?!? if it wasn't a life or death situation they were in…

xengret: Fanfic. Ancient art form.
FormulatedFoundry: Kithpress has been around for centuries at this point. There are a lot of authors here who have honed their craft before moving on to write original works. Breeze-sweet-with-summer-rain's whole catalogue is their fanfic about the crew of the Serrated Edge just with different names in a medieval baithaiz setting. You can still dig up the original versions in Kithpress' archive. There was a rumour going around that they might try to take Kithpress to court in order to get these originals taken down, but the site is run by the Kith of the Void themselves, and no one wants to tangle with their legal team!
Kraia: especially since, because it is just altered fanfic, they're technically profiting from the exploits of the serrated edge, which the kith would absolutely take them to court over!
Dauph34: I had no idea that was a thing
Kraia: yeah it's been happening for a long time, on a lot of different worlds, even before they made it out to space! something that a lot of races have in common is that they love getting excited about stories!

FormulatedFoundry: That whole duel between the two of them was so good! Humans are powerhouses, so that massive blade in Bathory's hand could have caused some real damage, but the Hand didn't even flinch! It was clear she was toying with Bathory, they way she disarmed her like that.
Kraia: they moved like it was a dance! the both of them are stunning!

FormulatedFoundry: But getting back on to the original discussion, from the short it made it sound like Bathory wanted to know more about the Storlayacas, because she has a piece of one (really wanna know how that happened!)
Augury's powers seem to be pretty vague and far reaching, so maybe what Bathory wanted was something more concrete in terms of details?
When it comes to Kaizoku, the both of them are powerful women - equal in station if not in title - so she should have been the one Bathory went to for information about these things, as she seems to be able to get some type of information out of the Storlayacas she has?
But she went to the Hand instead. And that could be because the Hand could be considered her inferior, someone who should obey her commands, but the Hand has proven herself to be a woman who can go toe to toe with Bathory's attitude. And I think Bathory found that attractive.

Kraia: she really really didn't!

Dauph34: Despite the initial hostility between the two of them they both seem to have developed a respect for one another very quickly they clearly see something in one another beyond just physical attraction there is chemistry there
FormulatedFoundry: It really makes me curious about the Hand's past, to know what shaped her into the woman she is. There's definitely loss - all we've really seen is that flash from Augury, where she was crawling out of a pile of bodies - and that's something she shares with Bathory - now that it's been revealed that her entire family was killed.
Kraia: yeah and how bathory killed the people responsible for her family's deaths. i'm thinking that kaizoku was the one to help the hand with her revenge, which is why she's loyal to the point where she's given up her name.
but maybe there's still people she needs to get revenge on out there??? maybe bathory can be the one to help her get it?!?
could you imagine bathory going out and killing on the hand's behalf?!? saints anoint me!!!

Dauph34: But that earlier short the one where the Hand told Kaizoku that Bathory was trying to seduce her I found it interesting that Kaizoku encouraged the Hand to seduce her right back for the sake of getting information out of her but I wonder if she saw there was something more there going on
Kraia: i really think she did. kaizoku seems to know more than she's letting on about a lot of things, so I wouldn't be surprised if she saw that there could be something more going on between the two of them. with how the storlayacas have chosen them for the task of fighting leviathan, maybe they chose them for reasons beyond just skill? maybe they chose people who they knew would get along??
FormulatedFoundry: A mech playing matchmaker… I think I feel another fanfic idea coming on…

Dauph34: Oh that was just the Pelekys video the Sudoxe has more on their end they are wanting revenge for their slain Saint how terrible I do hope that Saint left for a reason that isn't death off screen but for the sake of Bathory and the Hands story it could add lots of fun drama as it looks like the Sudoxes crew is plentiful with deorvirans
Kraia: and averral on the sudoxe is known to be an absolutely shameless flirt! i don't know which i could see her going after more, bathory or the hand. are we about to get a jealousy arc?!!!

FormulatedFoundry: That hand against her back was such a gesture of familiarity!!! And the Hand didn't even blink at that!!! Like it was the most natural thing in the world for her to do that!!!! The casual intimacy of it all, hello!?!?! Oh I really think we're getting somewhere with this relationship now!!!
Dauph34: Like I said before I am new to the Kith as a whole so I dont know much about the Sudoxe as of yet I will have to do a watch through of all of their content in the coming days so I do not know that much about Averral she is a frequent flirt I hear
Kraia: yeah she's known to come on to people when they're on missions. a lot of the time she's doing it to get a reaction out of people, but sometimes she does it to get information. she's been tangled up with her own crew a bit too, mostly sharp and verge. the relay of the three of them together is really popular.
xengret: It was in Kithpress' top 100 last Cycle.
Dauph34: I am liking what I am seeing with the Sudoxe so far I will definitely be checking them out more but I am also very looking forward to the upcoming mission with the Pelekys Bathory going undercover as a necupole but how is that going to work
FormulatedFoundry: There's all kinds of cosmetic things one can do to change their appearance, some of them pretty harsh, but it should be a relatively simple thing to make Bathory look necupole. She's already tall for a human, closer in height to most necupole, so she'd just need to be pale and bleach her hair and tint her eyes and she'd blend right in.
xengret: She's already haughty like a necupole.
Kraia: yeah sending her in is the only choice for undercover. averral is pretty fond of going in with stealth tech, so i'm betting it's going to be the two of them teaming up in order to get into this place, and that is going to be interesting when it comes to the hand!!! is she going to get jealous when another deorviran starts taking a liking to the woman who has been pursuing her???
violetAXE: I could see the Hand not doing anything because she doesn't even register Averral as a threat when it comes to Bathory, to be honest!
FormulatedFoundry: Okay that is quite literally incredibly hot! That is definitely going in my idea folder!

FormulatedFoundry: More than… a few! Midas Touch has really inspired me, okay?!? And it's something to keep me occupied when work gets boring, which is ALL. THE. TIME.

FormulatedFoundry: Every chance I get! They don't pay me enough to care about doing anything beyond my basic duties.

Dauph34: I do hope so I have not had the chance to watch one of these live yet like I said I am new but I am very much enjoying what I have seen so far
FormulatedFoundry: Yeah, the Pelekys crew have been fun so far! I really enjoy the vibe they have, and I love the different characters they've got on display.

FormulatedFoundry: That's the thing, though. A lot of these people clearly aren't thinking. Paying to hate watch something is not a thing I'd ever be able to do, that's for sure!

speaking of, i was having a look through a necupole fashion site and saints anoint me, getting to see bathory in anything like this is going to put me into the hospital!!!! i can't imagine how the hand is going to react to seeing her in anything like this when she goes undercover!!!
