Having anything Hyttan not in use is surprising, but with the way they've implied that these Storlayacas only respond to specific people, and that this one will only respond to the Queen's Hand in particular, then that would be grounds for it to remain on display instead of being on the field of battle.

Larimar: The crew of the Pelekys are breaking into a Zymeth museum in order to retrieve a Hyttan mech - apparently a new model called a Storlayacas - that will only accept the Queen's Red Left Hand as its pilot. Chancellor Bathory has accompanied the Queen's Hand in order to do so, while Queen Kaizoku, General Grim, and Madame Augury have been stealing smaller artifacts from the rest of the museum.
FormulatedFoundry: Oh damn, good thing Grim is quick! She had that guard down in no time! That's a lot of artifacts they're hauling!
Kraia: that's not all, bathory had the hand pinned up against a wall, using her cape to hide the pair of them from a guard on patrol!!!!

Kaizoku has looped back to the artifact wing, clearly intent on the piece that the guards were congregated around. Grim was perhaps too quick in her subduing of that guard from the stairwell, as an alert could have drawn the others away from where Kaizoku needs to be.

Larimar: In regards to the story line the crew of the Pelekys have set up, the reason for that is because these Storlayacas, unlike Odazaen, will only allow the members of the Pelekys to be their pilots. As for what the reasoning is beyond the Kith narrative, I cannot say.
Kraia: but that all took place in a museum, a zymeth one, and there's no way the zymeth would be working with a bunch of what they consider to be the lesser races in order to have this be an inside job or something, so this heist for absolutely sure did happen!
Larimar: The Zymeth are arrogant enough to have a powerful mech on display, rather than use it. Were the Thalatte to possess a Storlayacas, they would do everything in their power in order to bend it to their will. Maybe there is some key necessary to control the Storlayacas, and the crew of the Pelekys happened to find it?

The Hyttan homeworld itself has yet to be found, and every race in the galaxy is constantly in search of Hyttan technology.
Kraia: they've got both augury and the program that seem to have some connection to finding the storlayacas, and kaizoku seemed to be able to feel that the one they were going to get was tied to the hand??? so they have some means of narrowing down the search, at the very least

Larimar: Looking into the museum's site, it seems that they've had that Storlayacas for quite some time, and that aside from it being picked up and moved around by other machines, it hadn't ever moved for them. Getting the cockpit open was all they were able to do, and when none were able to pilot it, they assumed it was broken - a concept that flies in the face of Hyttan tech as we know it - or that it was an art piece that was never meant to work.

Kraia: about ten cycles back a kith crew - the ataxiam - started making waves by pulling off some really daring crimes, all of them targeting necupole holdings, so people were eating it up. and by that i mean throwing a lot of money their way. it turned out that it was all a scam, that a bunch of shorter than average necupole were hired to go undercover as humans in order to join the kith so that their employer could rob themselves in order to get the insurance money. only the heists were all fake, all the goods just moved elsewhere, and any damage to their property was covered by that insurance so they were able to build bigger and better facilities. the kith caught onto it pretty quick, but not quick enough for a bunch of people to lose a lot of money to the ataxiam, as they'd set up donation links beyond just what their regular subscriptions would bring in. the kith tipped off necupole authorities, who took the company behind the ataxiam to court, and they obliterated them!
Larimar: The most shocking thing about that whole ordeal was that the Necupole courts reimbursed all those who had donated to the Ataxiam over the course of their scam.
FormulatedFoundry: Seeing that payment come through my financial institution was a shock, I can tell you that! The Necupole are serious about their money!

The short version of all that is that (just the other day!!!) this Zymeth vacation destination was attacked by unknown assailants (article didn't mention anything Kith) who stole a whole bunch of artifacts (all of them from the "Lesser" races) and a strange Hyttan mech that has been on display for a long time! Officials tried to blame the chaos that the Pelekys' explosive escape caused on some kind of power source blowing up, but this is a vacation world, with a lot of people out and about with recording devices, even late at night, so there's a ton of footage from all kinds of angles showing that mech that never moved jumping up and vanishing into thin air while clutching something in its hands!!!!

Larimar: Looking into the museum's site, it seems that they've had that Storlayacas for quite some time, and that aside from it being picked up and moved around by other machines, it hadn't ever moved for them. Getting the cockpit open was all they were able to do, and when none were able to pilot it, they assumed it was broken - a concept that flies in the face of Hyttan tech as we know it - or that it was an art piece that was never meant to work.

Kraia: about ten cycles back a kith crew - the ataxiam - started making waves by pulling off some really daring crimes, all of them targeting necupole holdings, so people were eating it up. and by that i mean throwing a lot of money their way. it turned out that it was all a scam, that a bunch of shorter than average necupole were hired to go undercover as humans in order to join the kith so that their employer could rob themselves in order to get the insurance money. only the heists were all fake, all the goods just moved elsewhere, and any damage to their property was covered by that insurance so they were able to build bigger and better facilities. the kith caught onto it pretty quick, but not quick enough for a bunch of people to lose a lot of money to the ataxiam, as they'd set up donation links beyond just what their regular subscriptions would bring in. the kith tipped off necupole authorities, who took the company behind the ataxiam to court, and they obliterated them!
Larimar: The most shocking thing about that whole ordeal was that the Necupole courts reimbursed all those who had donated to the Ataxiam over the course of their scam.
FormulatedFoundry: Seeing that payment come through my financial institution was a shock, I can tell you that! The Necupole are serious about their money!

Kraia: yeah it hurt the kith pretty bad for a bit, but they went above and beyond to get things sorted with all those affected, even beyond the cash that the necupole returned to sender. but still, people get a little worried, so it's nice to see that this crew is actually out there doing what they claim to be doing!
